welcome everyone, c'mon over i've got lots of cakes!!!!xxxx

It was clearly very worthwhile taking the day off work to see family/do housework etc. So far I have spent my first two waking hours on MN. Someone give me a kick up the behind to at least go and shower and put some clothes on!

Time so needs to go faster - I want to get on with the fun bit of ttc. Need to make the most of it before the era of silent bd-ing commences! Although hopefully I'll be a little more successful at it than you, excitable

Hope you all have a fun and exciting day today!

kirstygem · 05/12/2007 09:59

Bucky I know exactly what you mean about having reduced your intake and becoming a lightweight. Since had DD a bottle of wine is about my limit. Could also add soda water to stretch my bottle out for the whole night. We have for some reason got the dreaded in-laws coming for new year so unless I get a BFP that day I will NEED some alcohol

MissusHoHoHo · 05/12/2007 10:15

Hi all...

Think I'm going to alternate alcohol and soft drinks on Saturday. Since having dd I am rubbish at drinking anyway (am such a cheap date )

Could be a bit messy though cos at last years do we ended up in the residents bar. Wobbled back to our room at 4am, only to be woken at 7am by mil informing us that dd was being sick but it was okay and we didn't need to pick her up (so why did she phone us then???!!!) Hangover didn't kick in until the afernoon, just as we were picking sicky dd up [bleurgh emoticon]

LOL at the silent bd'ing. It is so true . You become an expert at using stealth and cunning to get your leg over! I am covinced that dcs have a built in sensor that picks up even the thought of a bit of action...

We have been caught twice by our Ninja Child (cue shocked "what on earth are you doing, Daddy" ) I'm still traumatised so Lord knows what went through dds mind!

mibbes · 05/12/2007 10:38

pmsl MissusHoHoHo - quality story ! I think I'll be joining the others at the top again soon as brown spotting and cramps have started - usually a sign that af is on her way. Will have to get my head around this temping business for next month - could anyone recommend any good websites/books ?

MsSparklingXmasTree · 05/12/2007 11:07

Hi guys, i am taking myself off the list because dp and i have decided to start trying again May next year and aim for a spring 09 baby. I have several reasons why i don't want to try now and an August 08 baby was my limit. Oct is dd b'day month, Nov and Dec are too near Christmas (we have alot of Dec b'day's in our familys!) and Jan is a rubbish month.

So if we try in May, the earliest month of a possible birth will be Feb 09. I suspect everyone will be gone from this thread by the time i come back because you will all have BFP! Good luck!

"what on earth are you doing, Daddy" PMSL too MissusH mibbes "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler is a great book, full of charting advice and how to look out for other ovulating symptoms. Also Fertility Friend is a good website, you put your temps in and it works it all out for you.

GG & Spink So sorry AF turned up . Onwards with the boozy xmas parties!

I'm sure I will be joining you both soon. AF loves dragging her witchy heels. I felt dizzy all day yesterday (typical pre-AF symptom) and now feel nauseous today (have had this every cycle, so have learnt not to get my hopes up). Would gladly swap 12 day luteal phase for my mammoth 16 days (and counting). Why is my body soooo slow?

digitalgirl · 05/12/2007 11:18

xposted MsSparkling sorry to see you go, law of averages says that some of us may still be here (like me!) in May so we'll save you a space. have a lovely ttc-free (and wine-filled) xmas.

MsSparklingXmasTree · 05/12/2007 11:48

I am not going back on the pill because it messes with my body too much so we will be using condoms. Knowing my luck, we won't use one on one occation before May and i'll end up pregnant when not ttc! That's the sort of thing that would happen to me and it would probably be born on dd's birthday!

meglet · 05/12/2007 13:12

well, AF has arrived but I still can't TTC as I'm waiting for colposcopy results . Hopefully they'll be here before Xmas and I'll get the all clear. I'm getting vertigo at the top of the list! Can't wait to make my way back down.

Congrats sarah on your bfp!

madoldbird · 05/12/2007 15:35

Just a slight adjustment to my cycle day as I believe I'm a bit farther along. Symptom spotting like crazy (possibly 10DPO)but will hold off testing until Friday (maybe).

meglet · 05/12/2007 19:34

ooops, I have no idea how that huge white space got there!

Maybe its early xmas snow, ho ho ho!

teeheelaydee · 05/12/2007 21:56

Starlight - Keeping what up exactly ?! On second thoughts don't tell me !!

Another case of RL BFP here. Why am I fine when it is a MN and not in RL. This one worse for my DP. It is his best friend, my DP is not keen on his girlfriend and they have not been trying. In fact she has got to go and get her coil taken out (tmi). I'm sure that has cheered you all up no end.

Here we all are peeing on sticks and taking temps and there are people bonking with protection and getting pg !

The timing of it is incredible though and really seems to have hit DP - I have been positiving him up though - bit of role reversal. Telling him we'll be pg soon and then they can be new dads together. Here's hoping.

MissusHoHoHo · 05/12/2007 22:13

I know what you mean teehee, You see people getting pg without trying while we are at it all month for months on end with nothing to show for it (apart from sore bits and and a shitload of ovulation data, maybe).

I mean, just how much unprotected sex do we need to have!!!!????
