I suppose if it is every day for 2 weeks that will be all DH's xmas presents sorted or will he start to feel like robot by then.

Appeal to his male pride and get him doing most of the work might help.

Hi Starlight

Just thought I'd pop in as I see you're using CBFM.

I got HIGH on CD 9-17 (thought they were going on for ever) Then got my PEAK on CD 18 & 19. Then HIGH CD20. Although I've read on here about some ladies having 1 day of HIGH and then straight to PEAK. So I suppose you never know when it's gonna happen but at least you will know when it has IYSWIM. My cycle before this one was 39 days, but if I OV on CD18/19 it was very unlikely that I was gonna have another long cycle.

We BD on CD16, 18 & 20. Obviously don't know what flavour it is yet. But don't they say boy swimmers die quicker so best to have Sex before OV so there's some of the girl swimmers waiting?

Know my post doesn't help much but just thought I'd share

Ooh, day 4. I feel like I'm slowly (veeeery slowly) abseiling my way down the list.

dp pointed out to me last night that I have come home with at least one, usually more, useless/vaguely useful fact about conception every day since we agreed to ttc. I think he may be beginning to realise I am obsessed

I keep reading up on things like cbfm. Suppose it's not really worth forking out till I've given it at least a couple months... I have the most religiously regular 28 day cycles that cbfm probably won't give me any great surprises?

theowlwhowasafraidofthedark · 06/12/2007 09:59

Hi there everyone. Good luck with your BDing. We're just about to embark on bd marathon - very stressed atm so worried that there's going to be no ovulation, but MUST stay postive.
I know what you mean about abseiling down the list hopefully, feels like it takes ages!

MsSparklingXmasTree · 06/12/2007 10:02

Hiya, i did another Asda cheepie test yesterday and got another horizontal line in the result window. The diagram shows a vertical line so i'm confused again? We are not trying again until May now but i took a test to make sure i am not pregnant as i still haven't had any AF since coming off the pill!

Purhaps i should buy a boots one or something to make sure.

CD40, BFN and no AF.

Must I really go through this every month?

theowlwhowasafraidofthedark · 06/12/2007 11:17

really sorry to hear that DG. I sometimes have cycles of around 50 days and its just so depressing waiting around knowing that you can't even start to try again yet.

MsSparklingXmasTree · 06/12/2007 11:46

I am on CD43, first month off the pill though. I just want AF to come along so i can start noting down my cycles and hopefully getting them regular again to start trying in May.

Tested yesterday and was confused by the test (see post below) and so i don't know if i should buy a boots test and un-confuse myself?

FoghornLeghorn · 06/12/2007 12:21

Well ladies I think the pessimistic thoughts worked in a reverse psychology kind of way ......

BFP about 20 mins ago - I'm shaking

MsSparklingXmasTree · 06/12/2007 12:27

Congratulations!

hopefully · 06/12/2007 12:40

Congratulation FL!

I so need to get on with work instead of surfing mumsnet...

Shazza2002 · 06/12/2007 12:48

Congratulations foghorn Really pleased for you. Come and join us on the Aug thread.

starlight It was my first month

MissusHoHoHo · 06/12/2007 13:01

Hurrah fl another graduate

TwilightSurfer · 06/12/2007 13:30

Foghorn that's the kinda news I like to wake up to. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I'm going nutz so I'm going to run out to purchase some cheapy tests in a second and test in about an hour. I'm holding wee hostage until then. No sudden movements please .

Excitable · 06/12/2007 13:33

Wow - where did that come from?!!! Congrats Foghorn - hope it's a sticker. Have I told you before that I love your name.

I'm praying that I don't have another long cycle - they're so depressing, poor you DG When I had my long cycle (yes, only one, feel free to say "Pah!") I just couldn't be bothered with anything. Do you find it has an effect on your sex drive too? I did - it was awful! I still did it anyway, obviously, as I had no idea if I had ovulated or not but I can't say I did it with much heart. Don't tell DH, but there might even have been some faking

BDing like crazy at the moment with no need for fakery as at CD13. Only just got out of the habit of not looking for AF, then it'll be upon me.

LOL at ambitious bding plans. Good luck with that - that's not sarcasm, I really mean it. We're trying to do every other night, but DH keeps "forgetting". I told him at the weekend that we needed to get at it this week. He came home in a foul mood the day before yesterday and no amount of seduction was working and then last night said to me "You'll have to let me know when we need to have lots of sex" Well, really. I know I can't expect him to understand, but I find I do expect exactly that. He expects me to understand him. I only want him to listen to the information I give him and retain it, I don't expect him to learn this stuff by osmosis. Grrr...

Sorry for the rant, it's like I'm pre-menstrual this week, even though I just can't be. CD13 today - how short could my cycle be?

I want to try reflexology a la Sarahnh and I had a friend lined up who wanted to do some practicing, but it fell through and now I'm a bit nervous about going to a clinic. Somebody send me some bravery.

Oh - interesting AF fact. Women didn't really have periods very much in the middle ages, they were either children, pregnant, breastfeeding, preganant again or dead. So they had no chance at all of knowing how long their cycles were. They just had to pray for a baby to come along with no evidence at all. Well, I thought that was interesting...

MissusHoHoHo · 06/12/2007 13:47

excitable that was an interesting AF fact

I have a fact too....

when the egg is hatched during ovulation to get into the fallopian tube it has to cross a short gap from the follicle to the end of the tube.

Perhaps there are lazy eggs that just sort of plop out of the follicle and fall to their doom inside us somewhere? Would that explain our BFNs? (maybe not - sure that's not been scientifically proven...)

FoghornLeghorn · 06/12/2007 13:53

Thanks everyone and yes you have Excitable but I'll soak the love up again !

I'm so shocked I just don't know what to say, so many BFN's in the last few weeks. Have no idea when conceived as ov'd really early in cycle but onyl got BFP on day 42.

digitalgirl · 06/12/2007 13:59

OMG Foghorn huge congrats to you!
So BFP on CD42 eh? When was your last BFN?

FoghornLeghorn · 06/12/2007 14:14

Digital, I had BFN's on CD31 and 34. Decided I obviously hadn't been lucky this month so to just leave it but I've never had a cycle over 39 days before (even when ttc DD1 for a year) so thought i'd test again and there it was BFP.
