morning ladies - what a lovely new thread we have here, I'll have a bacon sarnie AND a danish thanks.

mtw don't worry, I've not ov'ed yet either. Have been taking my temps and haven't had a rise yet. I am notorious for late ovulation tho so I'm sure you'll get a peak on your CBFM before I get a temp rise!

Got acupuncture tonight to see if we can shift my lazy eggs.

cbcb glad to see you on the list!!

An august baby would be lovely, they'll get a head start in school - and it'll be a year's worth of free childminding! My SIL is getting married in aug so am thinking Sod's Law will take effect and I'll be heavily pregnant on the day and at risk of baby coming early.

Have also bought my first pair of slim fit jeans (I know, I know two years too late), in another desperate bid to test Sod's Law.

MissusH · 12/11/2007 10:59

I have nothing to pee on - I have no sticks of any description in the house. Doesn't mean that I don't want to pee on something...

ttc turns us into crazy women....

Thanks DG It was me that hasn't OV yet. MTW got her smiley face and has been busy BDing, so I think she'll be the first to test out of us.

I think the problem with late OV is you just know you have to wait at least 10 DPO to test. Grrrrr....

Although I'll just be happy to actually OV as I'm sure you are too. Maybe you and I can go on an egg hunt, you bring the sarnies I'll bring the drinks

MissusH · 12/11/2007 11:06

annie I mucous watch mainly. I should use the cheapie ebay opks gathering dust on my shelf but by the time I remember it's too late and have probably missed the surge...

Note to self - must try harder next month...

digitalgirl · 12/11/2007 11:09

oops shazza I did mean you! yes, I'll bring a pair of binoculars as well as the sarnies.

Shazza2002 · 12/11/2007 11:20

DG Maybe I can investigate my cervix while I'm at it

With regards to peeing on things, I've been peeing on sticks for 11 days now and I still have trouble. Let's hope by the time it comes to peeing on the important one I'll be and expert

MrsRigby · 12/11/2007 12:12

Hi everyone - it's been a while since I last posted .

Finally got to see the consultant gynaecologist for my follow-up appointment and results of blood tests and ultrasound scan. He says I've definately got PCOS and that I'm not ovulating .

He was happy to start me on clomid, but my husband wasn't sure about this . I definatley did not want to be put on the pill, so we ended up compromising with metformin 500mg three times daily with a follow-up appointment in 4 months time .

He hopes we'll be pregnant by then, but I have this feeling that its not gonna happen .

digitalgirl · 12/11/2007 12:30

oh mrsrigby sorry to hear you're . SFXmum just got her BFP and she's got PCOS, I know she swears by a certain book that helps her manage it (think it's on the last waiting room thread).

Am watching with interest as I have a gynae appt in December to query my long long cycles, they may well diagnose me with PCOS.

My mouth tasted funny today and still tired. The only symptoms ive got now is.....headaches, sick burps, grumpy and moody (maybe cos my dp was doing my head in!!) tiredness!! Also my boobs are abit sore but not as bad as they were last week and i do have a sharp pains now and again on my front lower right side and im wet on and off. i took a Pg test (again) using a Ebay cheapie and a vvvvvvv faint line came up within 3 mins...my AF is due about 14 -16th..

ive ordered some CD digital pg tests. (ive never used them before as i used First response last time when i was 2 weeks late for my AF)

sooo who knows!!!!

FoghornLeghorn · 12/11/2007 13:39

How many days past ovulation can you test ?
The impatience is killing me this month

sfxmum · 12/11/2007 13:47

hi just had a peek

mrsR sorry about the news but at least you have a diagnosis.
I have a dd 2.4 and just had a BFP so it can happen, I remember on my first antenatal thread there were a couple more like me.

it varies a lot on how it affects you, I think

I read the Colette Harris book and followed the diet book by same author first time around.

my bigger challenges were coping with depression and managing weight which was really a vicious cycle, I ws not even having periods for over a year and I know they only become regular as my weight drops below a certain threshold iyswim.

I found that combining exercise, with a good diet meant I kept depression in check and the rest followed

there are many treatments available and I would say have a look at verity for support and info

sfxmum · 12/11/2007 13:48

and best of luck of course don't loose hope

Congrats sfx - missed your BFP
I'm 7dpo and I feel so pregnant - I haven't stopped sleeping, got dull ache in tummy, tried to do excericise DVD the other morning and had to stop, boobs were agony. Exactly how I was with DD1
This temptation is terrible

hello new thread Just checking in to stop me going and peeing on one of the pg tests I bought today (about £3.50 for 2 in Sainsburys, get down there, bargain!). af due tomorrow if my calculations are right, so am going slightly crazy.
biglips you SO sound pg, fingers crossed for you. And MrsR, that sounds hard. Why doesn't your DH want you to have the clomid?

Shazza2002 · 12/11/2007 14:01

biglips sounding positive for you. When do your CB arrive.

foghorn you OV nice and early then, must be good having short cycles like that. When do you thing you'll test?

mrsrigby really sorry about your problems, my friend had similar to you, as soon as she got her appointment through to be checked out, found out she was pregnant. Let's hope the same can happen to you.

Well just had lovely lunch with good PG friend at work and she managed to cheer me up. I will OV this month, all beit a bit later than expected but it will happen.

Hey Shazza - I did ov nice and early this month, day 11 but this is only my 2nd cycle off the pill and my first try with opk so don't know if it's always the case.
I just did a test - ARGGGGGG - it's BFN, I'm not disappointed - it was stupid to test so early but I just feel sooooo pregnant and I did with DD1 so convincing myself.

I'm sure it is too early. Give it a couple more days and test with CB, easier said than done I know!
