oh SFX - I am so sorry. Hope you are ok.

digitalgirl · 30/11/2007 13:20

so sorry sfx i didn't realise when I referred to you in my post to owl . i hope you get lots of rest over the next month.

welcome mibbes if you normally get ewcm but didn't this cycle then it's possible you might not have ov'ed yet, which means you could still be in with a chance! it's normal for women to have an anovulatory cycle once a year or so. stress can delay ovulation, so best thing to do is, relax (book yourself a massage ) and have fun!
you could also chart your temperatures if you want to track when you ovulate (cheaper than doing opks).

owl glad its only borderline, means you can definitely take steps to improve! got my fingers crossed for you.

Excitable · 30/11/2007 13:42

Oh, sfx really for you. Make sure you get lots of treats this month, you must be feeling pretty poo.

Feel absolutely the same about pregnancy announcements. Don't understand why I'm so competetive about pregnancy - I'm not competetive about anything else. I feel like we're in the same team on MN, so your announcements are all fine. Also, I know that you're ttc, so I'm not surprised when you announce it. It's when I didn't know that RL people were trying that I feel left out. It seems like another person I could have confided in about ttc who would have understood. I really think this not telling anyone is a silly idea, but I'm scared that people will think I'm potty if I start telling everyone. It's just one of those things you can't talk about.

Mibbes did you know that you can have EWCM without knowing about it. Sometimes it's too high for you to be aware of it and it doesn't make it down to your knickers. Yet another symptom you can't rely on...

Better go now, as DH tries not to be jealous about mumsnet, but is terribly nervous about what I say about him on here. I think I've got him to understand about the outward bound holidays and have tempted him with some other more pedestrian things that we've always wanted to do like the opera in Verona or going to Paris (which could be demanding or not, depending on my state of health!)

sfxmum · 30/11/2007 13:46

not to worry digitalgirl and everyone, it is sad but it is life, it happens.

I will still announce next time, still get excited still hope for the best while knowing what can happen, it is the only way I know how.
it will happen eventually and I have dd as a reminder.
take care all and thanks

JollyBear · 30/11/2007 14:39

Just popped into say hello,

sfx mum, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. These things do happen in life as you say but it is incredibly sad and I hope you are looking after yourself.

Welcome to Mibbes - I'm trying to limit my obsession to within the mumsnet walls too!

Hello everyone else!!

Shazza2002 · 30/11/2007 14:40

Really sorry sfxmum

fairysnuff · 30/11/2007 15:06

I am bad for telling everyone in RL anyway. Everyone I know, knows I am trying and, each month TEW turns up, they know about that too!
Well, I obviously don't announce her arrival but I do tell them that that is another month gone by and,.... nothing!
I also know that when I get my BFP they will all know about it waaay before the 12 weeks.
I figure that these are the people I would be looking to for support, should the worst happen ( so sorry for you SFXMum I don't think we have met yet, but it is still poo to lose it) So they will get the news just as soon as I do.
I am a blabbermouth in RL, so it would be nigh on impossible for me to keep it to myself.

There are a couple of people that, when they announced tehir news, I was able to say yeah for you, but also admit to being well jealous.
It was nice to be honest.

07mumstheword · 30/11/2007 15:35

sfxmum So sorry to hear that. You sound very rational about it, good for you. If you need a rant over the next few days you know where we are. Take good care of yourself.

fairy I'm a blabber mouth too In someways though I wish I hadn't told everybody because it seems to add pressure as friends are often asking if I'm PG yet! But you're right they are the people I'd turn it to after you lot if I need a chat/support.

Hi Mibbes You never know it may have worked already but if not when you next get your AF you can really start obsessing with dates, knicker watch, OPK's even temps and cervical pursuits! We'll all guide you if we can but the TTC fountain of all knowledge is our Digital Girl she is a walking talking TTC encyclopedia!

mibbes · 30/11/2007 16:33

Thanks for welcome ladies - and for tips on CM and ovulation - so much to learn

cricri · 30/11/2007 17:10

sfxmum So sorry to hear about your mc. Lots of comfort here
if you want. Look after yourself and hugs to you.

kirstygem · 30/11/2007 20:10

So sorry to hear your news SFXmum .
I on CD25 and all I can think about is testing!!! I have promised myself that I wont test until CD30 as last months cycle was 30 days and one before that was 31 days. I am cracking up and am going tp struggle to wait til the, Stupid really as DH didnt cooperate on the 3 days I had lots of EWCM and so probably missed ovualation. have convinced myself there no chance this month so kind of impatient to get on with it and hopefully manage next time

Bucky2007 · 30/11/2007 20:23

SFXmum . I say this everytime somebody is as positive as you are about horrid MC...but 'how are you so level headed and balanced about it?' I didn't think it was fair or right or that it should have happened to me...so I am very sorry it has happened to you . I will try and follow your example and be less sorry for myself more of the time! .

As for other people having babies. Luckily nobody really close to me has shocked me with an announcement recently. You know however, that now that I've said that somebody will come out of the woodwork! . I am being sooo pessimistic about this month. So defeatist. I am not even trying....don't know what is the matter with me. I'm sooo tired. I don't want to have a break but I am fed up of trying if that makes any sense. I'll trundle round this cycle and see what happens I guess. No on my OPKs yet, although I forgot yesterday

Owl Sorry about your tests. Of course its not nice that you both have had disappointing test results. I often think about those tests these days. I am worried in some respects that if DP and I had them and only one of us had a problem that somebody would feel like they were to blame. Obviously it would be better if all was well, but its such a horrible situation. I hope that you get good news though and you don't have PCOS.

07mumstheword · 30/11/2007 21:50

Fairysnuff I've left you a message on the "Can your womb be damaged" thread & as it hasn't been active since Tues just thought I'd let you know here because I am very interested in your Doctors comments so would be greatful if you'd respond. Thanks.

fairysnuff · 30/11/2007 22:51

Have replied to your post. I thought about putting it on here but thought maybe we would get a more response from others if I kept it active.
I felt that they were saying it was pretty unlikely and I got a little scare from the one who said repeated forced dilation could be bad.

I must have been offline when you mentioned yours, is that what you have put as mc for July and Sept? I hadn't really been thinking of them as along those lines, but I guess thats what they were. Certainly this time it felt that way.

We got it right, DH's wee guys did their job, but (for whatever reason) my body didn't keep a hold of them. I guess I am holding out hope that we will manage it again this time and that my body will decide/manage to keep hold.
Also, I am hoping sods law will be with me. I didn't want to get pregnant this time of year cos then both my LO's B'days would be in the same month (or close as damn it)

Spink · 01/12/2007 08:49

right, well, af due for me tomorrow or Monday, and I can feel her coming, bit crampy. I think we might take Christmas off ttc and I'll just indulge in brie and champagne and pate and lots of shellfish!

updated the list.. have a check, ds has been squealing and it is a bit distracting
sfx - I didn't want to assume where you wanted to go, so I've left that for you

morning all,
I bring muffins, a large cafetiere of steaming coffee and a pot of tea.
thanks for the update spink
Temp has dropped today so it looks like I'm about to finish my shortest cycle since June. I only wish the acupuncture could have also brought a BFP. Oh well, it ain't over yet...

so, who's testing this weekend?

just popping my head around the door. So lovely to see more BFPs and so sad to hear yr news sfxmum. No chance for us this month as DH was ill for exactly the same length of time as I was fertile for. So no BDing, no 2ww, no stress this month. Fed up (really, really fed up - was convinced I was going to be happily pg as I was sitting my exams in January), but hey, christmas is coming...

07mumstheword · 01/12/2007 16:53

Thanks Fairy I have posted them as MC's because the first one I was almost 6 wks so ended up being checked at hospital (internal scan etc) and the nurse said it is classed as a very early MC because I was PG then I wasn't IYSWIM. Whilst IMO it is not as bad as MC say at 10 wks when it has formed more it was still there and then it wasn't.
I was most worried about when someone said you are more likely to have another within 12 months so if I've had two am I more likely to have a 3rd or am I back to square one I don't think I'm going to dwell and hope that it will be third time lucky. That goes for you too.

fairysnuff · 01/12/2007 17:04

Yeah I was a bit confused by that too
Think I might go and ask.
