things to take your mind off obsessing over BFPs but still relevant to the ttc threads:

  1. purchasing sexy underwear (helps bd'ing!)
  2. planning seductive meals to have with DH
  3. spontaneous weekends away with DH (helps if ttc#1)
  4. enjoying eating all the foods we will have to give up after BFP
  5. taking up ridiculous hobbies that we will have to give up after BFP (indoor rock climbing anyone?)
Bucky2007 · 13/11/2007 22:27

Aarghh. CD25 tomorrow, the last week is the worst! . Especially when AF could turn up anytime between CD27 and CD32 I have a long knickerwatch programme ahead of me.

ClairePO I have posted all this month on MN but I have honestly not really given ttc much attention as have been running around after my new dog. Its like having a new baby in a way, except you can't take it in the chip shop and you wouldn't put a baby in the garden whilst you go out for Sunday lunch . If anything I think I have lessened my chances as I haven't really paid any attention to BDing at the right times (although we did manage to BD several times I have no idea when/if I ov ) And, I haven't taken my folic acid and eaten properly as had to get used to new routine and the vitamins were in a box that got taken in the burglary so I had to buy some more! So...my point...which it has taken me an age to make...is that you can post and not really obsess if life gets in the way!

That said, now that life has settled I am beginning to obsess again in my last week...

Just checking in on you all, 2 weeks tomorrow since I got my BFP don't feel pregnant yet although the sick feeling and my boobs are starting to tell me otherwise.

Who's going to be next for a BFP?

All the best people are born in August it's a scientific fact

ClairePO · 13/11/2007 22:37

indoor rock climbing??? err no thanks

do you really do that DG? our very own action woman!

2 and a half is such a sweet age Shrek, my brothers little girls are all grown up now (16 and 11-going-on-teenager-tantrum-since-born) but I get baby/toddler cuddles from my friends lo's who are 3 (boy) and 15 months (girl).

ClairePO · 13/11/2007 22:43

Bucky missed your post. You're so lucky having a cute dawgie, This weekend gone we were surrogate dawgy mummy and daddy as DP's mum was away. We had such fun taking her for walks. Of course my 3 cats went on cuddle strike, relocated to top of kitchen cupboards and hissed a lot. They're feeble really.

SK 2 weeks already that is so quick. You feeling OK apart from the sore boobs and feeling sick? How bad is the sickness?

sweetkitty · 13/11/2007 22:48

ClairePO - you have 3 cats too, loads of people have 3 cats I'm good thanks got another 2 weeks to wait until I can have my 8 week scan though. Just willing this little bean on.

ClairePO · 13/11/2007 23:00

only 2 weeks but I bet it seems ages to you, everything crossed.

Cats are ace, except when they wake you up in the middle of the night for head rubs, poo on the doormat (my aged senile old boy oes this but I have loved him forever so I forgive him, just keep in a stock of disposable gloves) and eat the chicken that was meant for dinner. 3 seems the right number to me.

sweetkitty · 13/11/2007 23:08

I may just have to change my name to 3cat3kidsnosanity after July

biglips · 13/11/2007 23:11

...ive got one cat and she thinks she is a dog!!

grinningbee · 13/11/2007 23:12

We had 3 cats (we call them mooses).

We lost one in March sadly when we had to move into our caravan after the flood. We still don't know what happened to her . She just disappeared.

Anyway. I love them to bits and if I end up childless I have told Squeak that he will be dressed up in a bonnet and like it!!

Our girl cat Bubble likes to sleep on my head for some reason....

biglips · 13/11/2007 23:16

aww sorry to hear about your missing cat .. and nnooooo i cannot have my cat (will be 2 next May) in our bedroom as she is too playful!!...she always goes for our feet!!!

OOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

ClairePO · 13/11/2007 23:18

GB my old boy sleeps on my pillow wrapped around my head but I draw the line at him sleeping on my head.

OK tmi time but does anyone else have cats that like to watch bd'ing? I'm too soft to close the bedroom door on them and now we're just used to it but typing it out loud just seems wrong. OMG I think I may have just overstepped the MN boundary - my cats watch me do it.

grinningbee · 13/11/2007 23:22

Um.... Claire, it's not just you.

I can say this 'cos I've just finished a bottle of wine (bad me!) but we don't kick our cats out either...

Guess we're both in for being exiled then!!!

Nighty night everyone. Off to bed now as we have to be at market setting up at about 7am. Joy...

morning all. Well, CD1 for me again as AF turned up this morning. Exactly one day late, just long enough for me to get my hopes up.

On the plus side I've learnt loads more about my cycle this month, and DH and I have lots more opportunities to get our lurve life back on track (last time we didn't do it at all when I was pg - really don't want that happening again...).

I've realised why I'm so obsessed - I'm scared I'll never have another baby, and our family just doesn't feel complete with just DS. Someone come and tell me that 36 (and a half) isn't that old .

Shazza2002 · 14/11/2007 09:14

Morning all

You were all busy last night weren't you ladies. Typical the only night for ages that I haven't been home sitting on MN and there you all are.

GGG 36 is still young, don't women usually hit their peaks in their 30's

To all those that have been struck by TEW, try to think about the fun you're going to be having in around 2 weeks time Easier said that done.

Well CD18 for me and finally after 9 days of high on CBFM I finally got my peak this morning. So shazza household will be a rocking tonight

cricri · 14/11/2007 09:18

GGG Sorry about AF turning up, but you sound positive which is half the battle. 36 and a half is NOT old, especially as you've already had a successful pregnancy. Look at Cherie Blair and all the others who've had DC in their forties!
Having said that, I'm trying not to stress too much about the fact that I'm (just) over 35 and ttc #1. CD30 so I caved in and did a pg test this morning - BFN . Just waiting for AF to turn up now I suppose. I think my cycles are still a bit messed up following the mc in September. I'm going to buy some OPKs to use next month too. Hurry up AF!
