Yeah I think if the appointment date was going to be pushed back too far @2020mission then I'd be tempted to do as suggested. See what date they offer? But if it's miles away then keep your current one and get a private SA. I can't believe June is the first date they have! That's ridiculous in itself.

@2020mission I'd definitely try to keep the fertility clinic appt. Don't delay!

Honestly looking back I am still reeling that I first walked into the GPs office about this in June2019 and it's taken so long I now may not be able to have a biological child!

I'm so disappointed with health services atm. I'm currently left reusing needles for my insulin cause the GP surgery and pharmacy are incapable of sorting my prescription out between them! I first requested it nearly 3 weeks ago! And they have the cheek to tell me I need to sort it out earlier! Fuming!!! Neither seem to want to acknowledge their duty of care.

I know right I didn't think it would be 2 months away. I will call tomorrow and fingers crossed they can offer one not too much later than June so we don't need to spend money on a private one. I wish they just sent an appointment for the SA like they do with the fertility one! I can already hear my husband refusing to let me spend money on a private one when we can get one on the NHS as he's not feeling the clock ticking as much as I am.

@notyetamumbuttrying no special reason for February to be honest... just that it's not January and we have our birthdays March and April so it's a mixture of just wanting it to happen ASAP and it's a month we have nothing happening 😆

I feel like some of the ladies here could change careers to work at a fertility clinic tomorrow with the amount of knowledge gained over the months/years trying 😅

@MIW01 they've not gave you new insulin needles? That's mad I thought all pharmacies would have some available for emergencies if you run out. I'm always keeping an eye on my husband's insulin pen needles supply to make sure he doesn't run out, there's been a couple of times he's almost did.

@MIW01 that actually dangerous as needles become blunt and also can affect insulin delivery which thats last thing you need having raised sugars and ketones. I would make a formal complaint to practice manager and also pharmacy manager, do you get seen at hospital at all or by diabetes nurses either at gp or hospital? They're usually great at pushing these things. Hope you get sorted. If you get stuck ill see if out pharmacies have any and mail them to you! 🤣

Age 37, TTC #1 since Nov 2017, NHS IVF starting in May!

I've just got back from day 1 of couch to 5k! I couldn't get back to sleep after dh left for work, so I downloaded the app and off I went :)

Deffo love the infertile donkeys label 💁🏽‍♀️ You can change my age to 33 ahead of Tuesday is you want 😭

@2020mission I'm sorry to hear about the waiting time for the SA! Just a thought, it may be cheaper for a private SA rather than a private consultation so may be worth checking some clinics near you before you call your fertility clinic. Then if it is a long time off then you could keep your appointment and just get the SA done privately?

Still eagerly awaiting my bleed 😬 Had a banging headache the last two nights at bed time but read up about how you can get dehydrated easily on down regs so up-ing my water today.

Thanks girls, you've kept me sane ❤️ my temp dropped today, now I'm so worried if that was my AF, I literally didn't fill one pad and it lasted 36 hours and it was just orange red when I wiped! Ah well sooner the 22nd comes the better, we'll know more then 😞

@2020mission I get ya! I'd like feb so that I'm still 35 when it's born but age shouldn't matter once I'm actually pregnant! I'm feeling really positive about ivf this morning. Been reading loads about the successes of endo surgery on fertility so hoping we'll have a great shot at ivf once it's done. I'd like to be hopeful with natural as well but I'm still unsure if my fertility is low or not. My numbers don't stack up between my Amh and afc so no-one's really telling me if my fertility is low or not 🤷🏾‍♀️

@notyetamumbuttrying I did a tesco one this morning and it was negative, I think il just have to believe the 5 negatives after, I'm not even going to entertain another CP even though that's probably what the positives were 😅

Morning all, I'm in for the new bus please cd1 of #500 or something ridiculous in absolute agony with this one amd supposed to be doing a course this morning that I was really looking forward to! You'll have to change emu age to 42 on the stats now though 😔 ttc no3 (1st with partner) forever nothing pending and it looks like he doesn't want to go the ivf route anyway so no point in chasing any of the tests or that they're forever away. Just sitting and moping and crying today because I really have had enough 😢 hope you're all ok and I'm sorry for the posts I've missed

I had a dream I had ivf and got 30 eggs that fertilised so that was a relief 😂

Woke up to a bfn though so a slap back down to earth haha! Just want period to arrive now

@Marvellouslymadmum sending you massive hugs lovely. This is such a hard journey and I know how hard and frustrating secondary infertility is too. Take each day as it comes. Your OH May come round and you may not need ivf, maybe things like Clomid May work for you so don't give up hope yet ❤️
