I’m so sorry @Theawkwardblonde that’s such a lot to deal with on top of ttc and mc. Sending lots of hugs to you and your oh. I’m sure stress plays a huge part in infertility, but it’s so hard not to stress when you have so much going on.

@VenusStarr good luck for testing on Friday 🤞🏻

paintfairy · 07/04/2021 09:17

@notyetamumbuttrying I've a big bum and legs too. 🙈 I'm trying to lose weight but it's not really working. 🤣
@Theawkwardblonde stress definitely is bad. But the problem is- you can't just turn it off! All you can do is make sure you take time out for yourself when you can.

Marvellouslymadmum · 07/04/2021 09:22

@Narwhal88 I had no symptoms at all with either of my mow teenagers until a while after a bfp including the boobs 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Theawkwardblonde im so sorry you're having such a horrible time, it's difficult enough with ttc and the pandemic. Maybe just try and take some time (when you can find it) to have a moment to yourself and relax, sending virtual hugs 🫂 your way

VenusStarr · 07/04/2021 09:46

That's OK @thislittlebird we didn't know about my immune issues until we started ttc and I only got tested last November after my 4th loss. I've always had sensitive skin and had eczema as a child but can get random flare ups, even from things like make up that I've used before. But I also never really get ill, I'll have a cold for a day and it's gone and I always thought I was lucky.

I remember when we first went to the GP for tests and I sat in front of him with all my results but my husband's sperm analysis had been pushed back and I was crying asking him to just refer us because I knew something was wrong and he refused. I had a particularly bad skin flare up at the time (which I now know is my rosacea) and asked him what I could do about it and he looked me in the eye and said 'is there anything that you're stressed about at the moment?' completely seriously! I was like 'are you effing serious?!' and I just gestured to his computer. God, that was over 2 years ago 😔

Thank you @crazycatlady1981 if I've not gone completely mad by then! I can't stop thinking about it.

Aimzie · 07/04/2021 10:22

Welcome newbies ❤️❤️
Just wanted to give you all a quick update, I've no af since my CP, Ive had high temps for about 15 days now and that's my usual luteal phase. So not sure what's going on, did a frer this morning and I think I see something. Literally trying so hard not to get my hopes up but there's no sign of AF at all.
What yous think of the frer I can't tell if it has a colour or not, could be an indent but showed after 2mins 😢❤️

kerrym87 · 07/04/2021 10:27

welcome all new people (have 2 pages to catch up on and i cant remember you all long enough to tag!) its crap all the waiting. all those struggling with weight loss, I lost 4 stone and managed it through calorie counting, slowly reducing portion size and just making healthier choices. what really helped is reducing my sugar intake as its so addictive, once I have more I want more. also swapping to slightly lower fat options and increasing veg etc to feel full. Slow process but I still have what I want its just a measured amount and my weight has been stable for about 6 years now.

Also, does anyone know about AMH and AFC in relation to PCOS and what it means? got a copy of the results via letter to GP with no explanation and not seeing consultant for 3 months to give OH time to reduce BMI and improve SA. My AMH is 17.3 but AFC is 33.....which happens in PCOS and makes me at risk of OHSS with any stimulation but not sure what the AMH means..........waiting for secretary to ring me (had to leave voicemail) to see if Dr can clarify and when my follow up is

crazycatlady1981 · 07/04/2021 12:14

@Aimzie I can see something but not sure if it’s a pink line or just indent? Was it fmu?
Good sign that your temps are up! What does your chart look like?

@kerrym87 not sure about PCOS, but your AMH looks ok for your age I think. It’s so irritating how they never explain anything alongside the results like we’re either too stupid to be told anything or just expected to instantly know what they mean! 🙄 hope you get some clarity from the GP soon!

notyetamumbuttrying · 07/04/2021 13:38

@Theawkwardblonde so sorry to hear what you're going through! You probably need to take some time away from ttc tbh.
@paintfairy it's so bloody tough isn't it! I start well, lose a few lbs and then have a mad weekend or something and it's all back on 🤦🏾‍♀️ need to work on the slow n steady route.
@Aimzie I can't see any colour so perhaps an indent? Guess you'll have to try again tomorrow good luck 🤞🏾
@kerrym87 your amh looks good to me! Have you had the callback yet?

@theawkwardblonde so sorry to hear you are struggling. It's such a hard process, especially if there are other struggles in your life as well. Please take care of yourself.

2020mission · 07/04/2021 15:25

Ladies sorry to jump in but need to rant... my husband STILL hasn't booked his SA 😭 he keeps saying "I'll do it tomorrow". We've got our fertility clinic appointment through for the first week of June and they need the SA results for that. I've tried explaining to him if he doesn't do it ASAP we might not get it done on time for our appointment. He definitely does want a baby so I don't know what the hold up is! I wish I could book it for him. Has anyone else got any tips on how I can nudge him. Honestly men 🙄

Juno231 · 07/04/2021 15:27

@2020mission Gah! What does he need to do to book it? Mine just needed to book it online with a code so I just did it for him...

crazycatlady1981 · 07/04/2021 15:39

@2020mission I phoned up the hospital and booked my DH in for it so I’m sure you can do it for him. I also took the sample down myself and dropped it off at the hospital! There was a 6-8 week wait for appt to drop it off so I would try and get one booked asap!

2020mission · 07/04/2021 15:47

@Juno231 we've been given a phone number for the Andrology department at the hospital to call and book. I wish it was just an online code 😆 ohh @crazycatlady1981 you know what I might just try calling myself then if he hasn't done it by Friday. I can tell them it was easier for me to call during working hours if they question why he's not calling! He is trying to say he wants to wait until I've ovulated later this week as he has to abstain before delivering a sample... he seems to believe they will go "oh sure, come tomorrow" if he calls today 😂

2020mission · 07/04/2021 15:51

Sorry to keep the chat going on SA but how long did you all wait for results roughly? Trying to calm myself as I'm worried this fertility appointment is going to end up delayed 😅

kerrym87 · 07/04/2021 16:26

@Motherofkittens28 sorry ithought I'd posted this earlier but it didn't go through...those aren't the kind of friends you need, I think she's maybe using it as an excuse. Its sad but relationships change, I now have one really good friend I've known since 16yrs old, one good friend and one casual friend the last 2 through my husbands work colleagues. If a friendship becomes more pain, worry and hurt its time to let it go and focus on the people who bring you joy and make your life easier x

Juno231 · 07/04/2021 16:35

@2020mission yes definitely call on his behalf and do it tomorrow - even if they suggest coming in this week you can just say he's away with work or something. Results can take up to 2 weeks to arrive. With our first SA we had to wait 2 months for a test and with our second SA we had an appointment a week later so it's all a bit random I'm afraid.

kerrym87 · 07/04/2021 16:37

@notyetamumbuttrying no call back yet. the gp won't have a clue either as letter is from fertility clinic....I thought 3 months till review isn't too long to give body time to heal and need OH to continue getting in shape for good wigglers but I still have my impatient moments!
@Theawkwardblonde I'm sorry things are crap, I've been on anti anxiety meds for some time don't manage without but you can self refer for mental health support with NHS and I've always found them really good, especially now they can do over phone or via teams x I also struggle with stress contributing to and linking to my health problems if ME and PCOS, and apparently they also cause your body to react massively to stress with an exaggerated cortisol response....telling someone to stop stressing is as annoying as 'maybe you're not doing it enough that's why you're not pregnant....🙄🤔

thislittlebird · 07/04/2021 16:51

My husband just had to ring to book in and it was fairly fast to get an appointment. Getting the results was really slow though for his second test results, it took weeks @2020mission.

Aimzie · 07/04/2021 16:55

My charts looking good, I didn't have one fall back temp at all, had a dip to 97.76 on 10dpo, now 15dpo and still 98.48
Think this is better pic, will update yous tomorrow when my frers come 🤞

Ttc for what feels like an eternity? Then you've found your bus! No fertile unicorns here, only infertile donkeys!
notyetamumbuttrying · 07/04/2021 17:23

@2020mission you need to cry! Only thing that worked for me. Men just don't like to admit there's a problem so will avoid and deflect. If you cry he will see what it means to you and sort it!
I waited 3 weeks for his first one with the GP but about 10 days with his second one with the fertility dept.
@kerrym87 totally understandable to have impatient moments! The whole thing is one impatient moment 😂
@Aimzie can see more colour in that pic! Best of luck for tomorrow 🤞🏾

crazycatlady1981 · 07/04/2021 18:12

@2020mission I think the Andrology depts are probably fairly used to men being complete wusses! So they will happy accept calls from partners/wives! The nurse said to me when I dropped it off that the results would probably be through within a few days, but as that required effort from my DH to make a phone call to GP, we ended up waiting 2.5 weeks until GP contacted us instead!

@Aimzie yep I do see faint pink in that! Fingers crossed for another test tomorrow!

Sjhigs · 07/04/2021 21:00

@Aimzie good luck 🙏🙏🙏

Marvellouslymadmum · 07/04/2021 21:01

@2020mission my oh is exactly the same! In the end I when I was chatting to the gp I mentioned it and she said just said she would book it in, I think it's a denial thing - they don't want to think anything might be wrong!

@Aimzie I can see a little line in that second one! 🤞🏻 for you

2020mission · 07/04/2021 21:10

Thanks all I'm glad it's not just my man being a pain 😂 I will make sure it's booked this week either by him or me! I've already mentioned to him from your replies that appointments offered to your OHs have been as far as 2 months away so hopefully he realises now he doesn't have time to waste. Hopefully this hospital will be able to book him in within a few weeks so we can get it done on time.

@Aimzie 🤞keep us posted!

Motherofkittens28 · 07/04/2021 21:58

@kerrym87 I think you are absolutely right. To be honest she has been off with me since I first told her about the wedding. Firstly saying she probably couldn't come because it was on her grandads birthday (seriously who doesn't attend your wedding because of a birthday!) and then making lots of comments about how she got married in a registry office and then went to the pub after so she didn't see why my wedding was going to be a more formal affair. She was also the only one of all our friends who was annoyed that we are having a child free wedding. I've been very hurt by her lack of interest and snippy comments for well over a year now and I think our friendship is on the way out because of it. My OH says exactly the same, that its just an excuse because she doesn't want to come. As you say friendships change and evolve and don't all survive.
