@MrsChicken89 that's good though! I'm gonna start logging food in my fitness pal again, keep me more accountable. I found cutting out booze really helped with the excess calories! My bmi is 28.6 so I'd love to get it at 25 before starting ivf. Few more months to go so unlikely, but any weight loss will do right!
@Crazydoglady123 hope you're feeling a bit better now?! 🫂
@Marvellouslymadmum argh that's annoying!! That's a high result for ovulating! Mine was 60 so I was all chuffed thinking I was so fertile until I realised that Amh was what really mattered and that's flipping low 🤦🏾‍♀️
@Yutes I hope it's hopeful, I really do!

So outcome of appointment is I can start treatment in 2-3 months. All consent forms are signed, had an afc scan and 12 follicles again. He didn't think i should repeat Amh (5.4) in feb and just said base everything off the afc. He thinks we should therefore get 10-12 eggs and hopefully 9 embryos. Said to start me day 21 or earlier as I ov early on to buserlin. (Don't know spelling sorry). Said folic acid/pregnacare is enough to take! Didn't understand how dhs sperm had got so good, asked him if he'd missed the pot the first time 😂 more blood was taken for virology and I gave urine too, can't even remember what for now!

@notyetamumbuttrying 2-3 months will fly by! Gives you time to get in good incubator shape Grin

notyetamumbuttrying · 06/04/2021 17:34

@Juno231 true! He was like, get your bmi to 25 in his parting words 😆 bloody hell mate, I've only got 3 months and don't fancy starving for that whole time! I need to lose a stone n a half to be top end of the healthy range. I did that bk in 2019 for my wedding and it took me 9-10 months to achieve. I'm honestly not a big fat pie tho. Just big bum n thighs, although my belly is getting big too 😳 🤦🏾‍♀️

OP posts:
Juno231 · 06/04/2021 17:38

@notyetamumbuttrying ha what a bumhole! Seriously there's no need to get to 25 but every little helps and just means there's one less pound to lose post pregnancy.

Mind you I can't seem to get my arse in gear so who am I to say any of this Grin

crazycatlady1981 · 06/04/2021 17:41

Wow, so much to catch up on!! 😊 kisses for everyone who needs them! xxxx Hope everyone had a nice Easter! We had wine for the first time in 2 months 😆 and now we’re back to being teetotal again! 😔 secretly hoping I won’t be able to drink again for at least 9 months 😏

@notyetamumbuttrying great that you’ll be able to start in next few months, hopefully sooner than later, and sounds like you’ll produce a healthy amount of eggs too! Yay!

@Motherofkittens28 so sorry about your moh!! Would totally understand if it was funeral and she was really close to him, but sounds like she’s just being a rubbish friend! 🙁
Good luck for your review this week! Hopefully you’ll have a plan of action in place and be able to focus on that!

Welcome to the crazy infertile animal group @MrsChicken89 😬

@Narwhal88 So excited for you and keeping everything crossed for testing this weekend!

@Crazydoglady123 glad to hear the injections are going ok! Hope you can start stims next week!

@Juno231 Sorry to hear that af is potentially on the way! Yeah it will be strange missing a month! I can’t imagine that now we’ve been going at it so long!

@Marvellouslymadmum Ooh are you going to test or wait it out?

Got my first jab tomorrow! Hoping I don’t get too ill like my DH, but I’ve pencilled myself a day off on Thursday just in case!

sunshineandshowers3 · 06/04/2021 18:02

Hi everyone, @MiniBaker kindly recommended this thread so thought I’d jump on 😊. I’m 29 and DP is 30 and we’ve been ttc baby no 1 since May last year. Both fit and healthy and don’t smoke. Drink occasionally. Naively we both thought that it would have happened by now but in 11 months absolutely nothing.

I’ve had my 21 day bloods taken which said I was ovulating and my DP is going for his SA next week. Feeling helpless and a bit flat about the whole situation if I’m honest.

Any words of wisdom would be greatly received and I really do wish everyone so much luck on this (sometimes) very lonely journey! ❤️🙏🤞xxx

notyetamumbuttrying · 06/04/2021 18:10

@Juno231 you're right! I'll do what I can. It's bloody hard in lockdowns but i won't have that as an excuse soon so need to shift it! 😬
@crazycatlady1981 thanks for all the kisses 😚 I had loads of bubbles at the weekend and we're going tee total again too. Here's hoping we all can't drink for 9 months sooonnn!!
Yeah hoping it's May rather than July but time will tell!
Hope the jab goes well!
@sunshineandshowers3 hello 👋🏾 great tests are underway now! Hopefully it's just a matter of time now 😊 have you got day 3s booked in and an ultrasound scan?

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 06/04/2021 18:41

Loads to catch up on!! I'm slowly losing my mind in the tww 🤪 but we have our ivf consultation on Thursday, so I'm focusing on that (and googling when the trigger injection should be out of my system... 🙄)

You made me laugh at bumhole @Juno231 😂 @notyetamumbuttrying my bmi is about 28 now, i lost a stone on slimming world but put it back on after my loss in October.

I'll go back and catch up on everyone's news xx

thislittlebird · 06/04/2021 19:48

You can take up couch to 5k like me 👀 @notyetamumbuttrying! I’ve done two weeks, need to move on to week 3.

I’m mostly fighting against the steroid bloat right now, but I do need to lose a few pounds too.

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/04/2021 19:51

@yutes yes anything that helps is a positive!

@notyetamumbuttrying I know right! I've a feeling it was a fluke month though as I had mega sore boobs last month when they did the day 21 which I've literally never had before plus a few other extras amd this month slightly tender but nothing like last month! Exciting that you can get started soon and 10-12 eggs would be excellent for you!

@crazycatlady1981 I've managed to hold off so far, going to try and make it to 14dpo and may test on 15 if still no sign. I was really ill about 12 hours after my jab but it didn't last that long luckily

@sunshineandshowers3 welcome! You won't be lonely in here, lots of friendly helpful and supportive ladies

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/04/2021 19:52

Oh amd I'm still walking each day - go me! So hoping that'll help my bmi but I don't own scales so absolutely no idea 😂

notyetamumbuttrying · 06/04/2021 19:57

@VenusStarr losing weight is so bloody hard!! Sorry about your loss in October. So is Thursday when you can test??
@thislittlebird I downloaded the app and have not opened it 🙈 must get the motivation!! Why you on steroids? Sorry if I've missed why.
@Marvellouslymadmum hmm interesting eh! Yeah I'd be so chuffed! Would love a chunk of embryos for the chiller as we only get one fresh round funded! 2 frozen goes and then it's off to private for us if it doesn't work! 😬

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 06/04/2021 20:05

@notyetamumbuttrying 10-12 eggs should give you your little frozen ones hopefully!

Crazydoglady123 · 06/04/2021 20:19

Hopefully soon @Yutes 🤞

@Marvellouslymadmum thank you. Well done for keeping the walking up!

@notyetamumbuttrying yep I've stopped crying 🙈 just whacked now 🙄

Thank you @crazycatlady1981! Good luck with your injection tomorrow!

I totally missed off welcoming @MrsChicken89

Welcome @sunshineandshowers3. No words of wisdom but at least you have testing under way.

Fingers crossed for you @VenusStarr 🤞

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/04/2021 20:25

@Crazydoglady123 thank you I do hope you're feeling a bit better today

thislittlebird · 06/04/2021 20:36

@notyetamumbuttrying for my crazy eczema which I think I mentioned. I’ve been on them for 4 weeks now, 2 more weeks to go. Started to get a little of the old moon face but nothing too bad, I think eating somewhat well and getting exercise has helped. But yeah, started couch to 5k (I’ve almost finished it a couple of years back) and I can recommend it, it’s a really good programme. I need to start week three tomorrow, the change in weather has delayed me running the last couple of days.

Also on over seven weeks of antibiotics and I think they’ve stopped me ovulating Confused. Hopefully it’ll all snap back to normal when I finish them.

notyetamumbuttrying · 06/04/2021 20:48

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah I'd hope so!! 🤞🏾
@Crazydoglady123 ahh honey! It's so draining isn't it xx
@thislittlebird ah yes, you did mention about your skin now, I remember! Well done on the exercising! I can't really start until after my surgery as got to self isolate until next Tuesday now. Will do some YouTube fitness sessions in the living room!
Eek are you not getting positive opk's then? How long until you can stop them?

OP posts:
Narwhal88 · 06/04/2021 21:23

Thanks everyone I know a lot of people don't get symptoms but the fact my boobs don't even remotely hurt just keeps making me think it hasn't worked (they don't hurt before af normally either).

@Crazydoglady123 it's so shit isn't it with the announcements. I have just seen one on fb (my husbands cousin) and I could see from the video what it was gonna be so just unfollowed before I'd even watched it 😂 very much a surprise as well as she has a 17 year old daughter. Hope you are feeling a bit better. The hormones don't help.

@Motherofkittens28 if she's not close to that family it is even weirder! I would probably quiz her on it as I wouldn't be able to leave it alone! Just sounds like she was trying to get out of the wedding to me for some bizarre reason.

@notyetamumbuttrying I will be testing at the weekend. sounds like your appointment went well and it all sounds really positive! How do you feel about starting in 2-3 months?

@MrsChicken89 welcome! Sorry I missed your post earlier. That's really weird that they want you to lose weight for a hycosy, I thought it was only ivf that had a BMI limit. I lost 2.5st on slimming world for my wedding, though I have put half back on now but I found it easy to follow. It was not a life I wanted to lead forever though 😂

@sunshineandshowers3 welcome! No words of wisdom I'm afraid, sorry you find yourself here too. However if it hasn't been a year yet don't get too disheartened as it does genuinely take that long for some people. Hopefully the tests can put your mind at ease.

notyetamumbuttrying · 06/04/2021 21:54

@Narwhal88 so much luck for the weekend then!! Feel fine about it, want to start next month really but so be it. We've been under investigations for 8 months now (first went to gp then), so it's felt like a very long wait and we're edging slowly closer. We had to wait on the sperm improving first and now that's fine, the attentions back to me. Feel I was a little sidelined when they thought it was just male factor.

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 06/04/2021 22:06

Yes can test on Thursday @notyetamumbuttrying but we're waiting til Friday 🙈 I'm paranoid about the trigger injection and our clinic appointment is early and we've both got work straight after.

Thank you @Crazydoglady123 🤞

@thislittlebird are you taking prednisolone? I'm on that as part of my treatment - I usually get a bad rosacea flare up after ovulation, but my skin is quite clear this time. But my face is definitely a bit more moony!

Best wishes for the weekend @Narwhal88 💕 x

notyetamumbuttrying · 06/04/2021 22:09

@VenusStarr ah I see, makes sense to me! Good luck for Friday then🤞🏾

OP posts:
thislittlebird · 06/04/2021 22:48

@notyetamumbuttrying I went from low to high OPKs (CB) and then the high went on and on for about 12 days before I gave up and decided to just wait it out. My body seemed to be trying to ovulate a few times and I’m not sure if it succeeded. So far no PMS at all so I don’t think af is coming tbh, or at least will be late. Going to acupuncture on Friday again, hoping it will help (it seemed to the month before last when I went). Coming off the antibiotics in a few weeks.

@VenusStarr yessss I am, first time I’ve been on it after 18 months of my eczema going crazy and the doctor ignoring me a lot Confused. Saw a dermatologist and she diagnosed me with papular eczema and gave me the steroids for six weeks and I’m down to two tablets per day from tomorrow.

Do you take it every month after ovulation?
Or is it for something else too? The symptoms are weird but seem to vary depending on dose. I’ve had all sorts of stuff going on, from shaking to mild toothache. I’m lucky my face is narrow anyway so the puffiness is mostly unnoticeable bit I think it would be worse if I wasn’t on a reduced dose already.

Good luck @Narwhal88!

Theawkwardblonde · 06/04/2021 23:48

Wow so much to catch up on-welcome to the newbies too ☺️

@Crazydoglady123 @Motherofkittens28 @notyetamumbuttrying thanks for the well wishes. It's been a shit time since MC. Found out MIL has cancer, which is advanced. Devastated is an understatement. Im also now banned from driving due to a medical condition so it's been an awful time, with me spending a few days in hospital too 😞.

My consultant seemed to think stress may be contributing to my repeat miscarriages-how can I not stress with this going on???

VenusStarr · 07/04/2021 06:23

@thislittlebird hope the steroids are helping. Yes, I take from just after ovulation, am on 5 tablets a day. If I get pregnant I'll need to stay on them until 16 weeks - dread to think of how puffy I'll be, but if it helps :)

I'm sorry you're going through such a difficult time @Theawkwardblonde ❤️ I have recurrent losses too, we did private testing and found my immune system is overactive, which is also the likely cause of our subfertility. It's so hard to keep going, sending love xx

thislittlebird · 07/04/2021 07:00

@VenusStarr that’s interesting, I’m sorry if I’ve missed you explain this already, I’ve not been trying this month because of the particular antibiotic I’m on and I’m behind on all the threads. Is this something you had any idea about already or did you find out while ttc? I do have worries my wonky immune system works against me on all this.

Sorry you’re having to deal with all that @Theawkwardblonde. Stress definitely has a lot to answer for, my doctor thinks my health problems have been because of it too and it’s hard not to stress when you’re under such pressures. I’ve started taking an anti anxiety drug now, it’s hard to know what else to do though because it’s not something you’re really in control of.
