@polejunkie that is lucky!! Mine was a few weeks ago so met my sister and friend outside for a wander about. Very much looking forward to a normal birthday next year! Hopefully with a newborn in tow 😉

Morning ladies. I've been a bit quiet as I'm feeling pretty disinterested/negative about TTC atm. It just feels like what's the point, none of it will work until I get to start IVF anyway.

Anyways, just wanted to pop in and say I've got my laparoscopy scheduled for the 27th now - so only a month after the referral! Pretty pleased with that turnaround and intrigued to see what comes out of it.

@Juno231 I know what you mean - this month we barely tried as it seems pointless seeing as we're being referred for IVF, just want it all to hurry up... Good luck with the lap

@Juno231 I'm like that at the mo. I'll prob ov over the weekend and we haven't done it yet. We should more than ever as this is perhaps the last go before ivf starts (not sure on start dates until after next week's appointment). Great news on the lap date! Wrote bk to you on the other group too.

@notyetamumbuttrying I got a promotion last august and I don't feel I've really been doing my best as I'm just so distracted. It was a forced promotion I had no option if I wanted to keep my job as my manager retired so they restructured (I sound so ungrateful but I was actually happy with the level of responsibility I had). I think you should be fine during stims, it's just being off meant I didn't have to make up excuses to others for going to scans every other day.
Also I'm afraid to say I also have a fair bit of belly fat and the injections still left some marks 🤣 only have bruises where I hit a blood vessel though (those were progesterone injections).

@Motherofkittens28 thanks yeah it says it's a side effect but I hope it goes soon! I also turn into a jealous crazy bitch when it comes to pregnancy announcements!

@Crazydoglady123 I felt a bit queasy on stims with menopur but other than that nothing. I am generally a very queasy person, if I do become pregnant I just know I will have horrific morning sickness! Interesting about the PCOS tests, I've never had any of those tests.

So I just got a call from the embryologist and our other embryo caught up today and has been frozen! It is actually the same quality as the other frozen one, so we have 2. Really pleased as wasn't expecting it to catch up!

Mine was similar, it was only really me and my colleague that could get this job n clearly my boss wanted me to have a go as well, but I pretty much stepped aside for my colleague to get it. I just called up to get my date for a lap. 13th April 🥳 but the only issue is they want me to self isolate for ten days before it. Ivf appointment is on the 6th April...do I chance it or do I cancel the lap? I can't bear the thought of cancelling the ivf appointment. I'm doing a Covid test 3 days before the surgery anyway so if it is positive, surgery will be cancelled anyway. I haven't caught Covid so far and I've not always been the most careful. I hug my sister for example (although she is in our bubble of sorts as she lives on her own), I'm not always 2 metres away when I meet up with others outside. Just looking for others thoughts on it.

@notyetamumbuttrying what a predicament... I'll be honest, on a journey like this I'm not sure I'd put anything off. Does your IVF appt have to be F2F or can it be a telephone? Sorry if that's a silly question, not sure what the appt is for... You definitely want the lap!

@notyetamumbuttrying I take it its an in person ivf appointment? Are they doing tests? I'd ask them if it was possible to just isolate from the 6th, I only got a week's notice for mine so could only ever have done 7 days isolation and they were fine with that.

@Narwhal88 well that made the queasiness a bit more worthwhile! Congrats! Try and rest and hopefully your body will get used to it? I had the easiest pregnancy with DS and no morning sickness and I keep thinking after everything we're going through for #2 doubt I get off that lucky this time!

@notyetamumbuttrying I've been told to be careful throughout my ivf treatment so I'm trying to isolate as much as I can. I still have to do school runs etc but not going to shops etc anymore. Personally I think the ivf appointment would be safe. All of mine I have to answer Covid questions before hand and have your temperature checked when you go in. My consultation was virtual on Teams.

@notyetamumbuttrying I've only been asked to isolate from the time of the test 3 days prior to the lap. So I'd risk it if I were you 🙊

Thanks everyone. Pregnancy test is negative as usual 😔 just so frustrated atm. It's probably just endo pain of some kind. Roll on June until I can get it looked at 🤞🤞

@notyetamumbuttrying I have actually gone for a promotion as I feel I was getting consumed and it helps having something else to focus on although won't be in post until sister im replacing leaves at end of notice period in about 12 weeks. You could always see if they can do a teams appointment/phone appt or being it forward a few days . If you're low risk you may be able to isolate for just 3 days (they didn't tell me that I had to ask) x

@polejunkie yeah it does, I think we'll be signing stuff and I'll be getting weighed and measured etc.
@Motherofkittens28 yeah it is. It's both of us going in. Not sure if we'll get tests as we got them last time. I think it's to discuss actually starting, like protocols and drugs etc. Interesting with the 7 days notice, think I'll just chance it to be honest!

@kerrym87 I'm defo low risk, no illnesses or allergies etc. Think I'll just make sure I stay in 3 days before, I'll be getting the Covid test that day anyway. I think they're just being over cautious giving me 10 days. Well done on the promotion, that's great!
@Dogmum13 so sorry hun! It prob is endo pain, it's such a bizarre disease, I've been looking into it more and more and it's nuts! It can be on your bowel, bladder and cause organs to stick together! 😱

@notyetamumbuttrying it's weird as I never once met my fertility NHS consultant and our IVF consultation was also over the phone! I would probably still go to the appointment and just think of it as an essential medical appointment, it's not like you are isolating because you have covid. Just be extra careful. We have pretty much been isolating throughout IVF though they didn't state we had to. I had a raised temperature yesterday and was worried for a min they wouldn't do the transfer but they took it again and it went down - it was just very warm in the room!

@Narwhal88 thanks, think I'll risk it and go then. My only concern is that it's the same lady as the gynae and ACU are in the same dept at this hospital. 😱

@notyetamumbuttrying the other thing they told me was not to get the vaccine within three weeks before the lap - just in case you get called in beforehand! Basically they're worried that if you still have a fever at the time of the lap they won't be able to tell if you are ill or are still suffering from the inoculation

@Aimzie @polejunkie @kerrym87 I can't bring myself to congratulate anyone on being pregnant or giving birth etc. And I feel so much guilt, like I'm this awful, terrible person because of it!

So I've jist had accupuncture session 4 - reducing stress was the focus!
I bought an AMH qualitative home kit and the reading looked normal but not sure it worked!
Really erratic temperatures this month! Now CD16 and hopefully I ovulated.

Does anyone know anything about oestrogen dependence? E.g. your body produces a lot of estrogen in comparison to other hormones. I think I have it as my boobs are always swollen and tender afte ovulation and that's a symptom

@MIW01 I have had SOOO many issues with mumsnet recently. I use the browser and it's always bloody down haha! I am considering acupuncture tbh just for the stress relief as I am soooo anxious

On the subject of other peoples pregnancies I have the attitude of them being pregnant has no impact, negative or positive on my situation. Dint get me wrong it STINGS like a bitch when someone announces as ita a reminder I am not pregnant. But after that I am genuinely happy and excited- particularly for my best friend who is pregnant atm. I does hurt that she is younger than me and I have always been the one doing things first (I have known her since we were kids) so I went to uni, got married, bought house first. So it's kinda cool that she gets to do pregnancy first 🥰 I draw the line at going to baby showers though 😂😂😂

P.s theres so many of you that I haven't replied to personally but I am thinking and rooting for you all :D
