Still waiting on the lap date too as thought that would've come by now too but nothing yet! I hope the scan shows you can start tomorrow, I really do 🙏🏾

@notyetamumbuttrying I get that. I think after so long of trying you just get to a point where you feel really down some days all of a sudden. Always here if you want to chat or rant 😘 Gutted your lap date hasn't come. Have you called them to chase them up? Ugh I bloody hope I can otherwise I think I'll break down with my consultant tomorrow if he says no. I'm so annoyed as I said to them when I had my appointments that if I react like I did last time, can I still start this cycle and they said yes it should be fine but they may want to scan me (which obv they are). Last month I had a scan 4 weeks later after my scan which showed the ruptured cysts for them to be all gone.

@MIW01 I came across a sheet today in my folder of stuff about what my consultant said my FSH is and should be for my age. He said for my age it should be 8.9 (I'm 33 in a couple of weeks)

@notyetamumbuttrying I start injections on Friday. Thank you it’s nice to talk to someone who’s having treatment same clinic and cycling at the same time xx

@MIW01 not 100% sure tbh. I over stimulated on Clomid and have 6 massive follicles atm so I assume it's if they're going to cause problems with my IVF medication.

@Ashleighz88 I had my initial appointment on the 11th of Feb I think and it took us 3 weeks maybe to have all tests done. The follow up to discuss results was scheduled in for the 8th of July !! So my moral of the story is to call and ask them to reschedule - that's what I did and luckily had my follow up on the 26th march in the end!

@Juno231 thanks for the advice, I think I'll call the clinic tomorrow and see what's going on. I've been enjoying burying my head in the sand for a month and I need to get back on it and chase the nhs up. As we all know you don't get anywhere sitting back and waiting.

@Crazydoglady123 apologies if this is a daft question, why was you on clomid? Do they give you that before you start ivf? I'm not really clued up on it all. I have massive concerns around overstimulation if I start ivf as my private amh came back really high (dr google said this can indicate Pco) and at my last pelvic scan the woman said I was "borderline" pco, blood tests were fine though 🤷🏼‍♀️ and the 3 previoud scans I'd had were also fine 🤯 so confusing, but I'm now worried. I'm praying you get the go ahead tomorrow, as @Narwhal88 said its actually a good thing they are double checking to give you the best chances possible ❤️

@notyetamumbuttrying sorry you've been feeling down, I'm the same, it's been that long now I feel drained with it all, I've completely stopped tracking/opks etc as what is the point 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm looking forward to things opening so I can do things with my husband to distract us, but then again I'm dreading having to go places and socialise.

I'm not sure if it's just my circle but soooo many of our friends have announced pregnancies during lockdown, it's been a blessing to hide away, trouble is all the babies are now due 😭

@Ashleighz88 no my NHS infertility consultant had me on Clomid to induce ovulation. We didn't DTD as was having a scan on CD12 to see how many follicles I had but the Clomid cycle coincided with my ivf consultation and we was given the option to write off the Clomid cycle and start IVF. It was the right choice as we weren't allowed to try with as many follicles I had. My AMH was 17.6 so not massively high and I've been diagnosed with PCOS but like you bloods are okay. I've been super worried about OHSS but the buserelin helps keep things calm and you're monitored so closely and often they'll change my dosage/meds where need be if I'm looking like a risk.

@Ashleighz88 I also have high amh,PCO appearance on scan but blood work was fine. I used to have irregular periods when starting to conceive but for a year before ivf was regular like clockwork so never formally diagnosed with it. I definitely think it’s my reason for not falling pregnant naturally - although of course there could be other reasons.
A close friend of my OH wife gave birth several days after my miscarriage during last lockdown in November. It was so hard. Luckily I don’t have many friends who are pregnant or want kids - but it’s hard enough just seeing women in the street. One lady today stopped me in street asked me a question whilst she was cradling a new born. Luckily my phone rang so I walked away and answered it. Rude I know but literally can’t handle it. Xx

We have started getting some really good walks in, a minimum of 5k a day, we've even managed to wear the dogs out! 😂 so we are tired but more healthy and getting some sunshine woohoo

Sorry to hear you're feeling down @notyetamumbuttrying, it's hard to keep going and sometimes it just hits you. Hopefully not long to go and I know I felt better once I was in the ivf cycle, I'm counting the days until I can start again!

I'm both of them mixed together 🤣 Ahhhh I see, so it was just due to timing, I suppose it's a good thing they can tell from tests if you are at risk so they can then monitor and tweak things to make sure everything stays ok. My AMH came back at 51 😱 but i had it done at the fertility clinic so hopefully I'll get to ask about it when I get the appointment through. have everything crossed for tomorrow 🤞🏻

@JandL2020 ah that sounds exactly like me. When I first started trying I was having some cycles at 25 days and some at like 37 so they were erratic, but then they regulated and were like clockwork at 28-30 days for around a year and half, then I had 2 months where I had super long cycles again and then back to regular for another year 🤷🏼‍♀️ I've had 4 pelvic scans and the first 3 they said were perfect, this last one was at the fertility clinic and she said there wasn't enough follicles to say it's pco but is borderline and asked if I had the odd irregular cycle, which I do. I wonder if this is our issue too, did they adapt the the ivf at all for higher amh? It must have been so hard when you had the miscarriage, what a emotional drain this journey is 😣

@Marvellouslymadmum it's so confusing as it's between my NHS consultant and my private consultant. That's really good to be doing the walks!

@Ashleighz88 Thank you. Wow, that's a high AMH! Yeah they'll definitely adapt your protocol and dosage accordingly. My cycles vary too between 26-34 days.

@Ashleighz88 I was on low stims (I think 115 dose gonal F) and short protocol - I responded slow at first so extended time of stims. They took a blood test and didn’t show OHSS and they collected 12 eggs. I felt really unwell 6 days after transfer (probably twin pregnancy made OHSS worse) but I was really sick, pain abdo and very bloated (I looked about 6 months pregnant and couldn’t do up my coat) and really uncomfortable to walk. My amh was 42 in Nov 2019. My AFC 15/16 each side usually. One side on one scan I had said 15 ++ so I’m guessing there was more smaller ones. It’s more than likely pcos. My weight has fluctuated over the years too and find it harder to lose weight.

@Ashleighz88 if it helps my AMH is 44 so just under yours and I haven't had OHSS and didn't overstimulate. It only took 7 days of stims though to get to egg collection. They don't think I have PCOS, I have no cysts on scans and regular periods. I have other symptoms such as acne and some facial hair though.

@notyetamumbuttrying I think the ups and downs of it all get wearing. I can't even decide if I want to carry on sometimes, i just want my life back! But i think lockdown timing just hasn't helped at all. There's nothing much else to think about?!

Everyone here saying they have high amh slash borderline PCOS, what was your number? I was kinda given the “maybe borderline PCOS but don’t worry about it” line, AMH was 36. My hormones haven’t raised flags tmk, and my weight is very consistent, just ageing seems to make me gain slightly easier lol
