@Motherofkittens28 it wasn't ewcm per se but there was more clear slightly cloudy at times discharge but more wet than ewcm, not stretchy. I got that a couple of days after i think it was some dye and my body just clearing out a bit. I was waiting for AF after stopping norethisterone so was at a different cycle point. No sign of ovulation whatsoever at moment so waiting to see if this has knocked me off kilter although this is the earliest I ovulate normally

kerrym87 · 29/03/2021 06:29

@Dogmum13 I get that from ovulation onwards with confirmed endo, it was mostly left side which is where they found it. Also got painful periods, sometimes pain during sex.
@notyetamumbuttrying they do it all together here but if you're paying it costs more doing investigations separately as either way you pay for theatre/clinical space and time and care, better yo get all don't at same time. Lap is to physically see any abnormalities and can remove endo, hyscosy checks blockages but flushes through too so can clear minor obstructions.
@MIW01 is there any way of seeing someone wise for another opinion are you still in gp land? You can see any gp within practise, or wrote a letter to practice manager. Can also go through pals x

@Ashleighz88 welcome, I feel the same as you in regards to isolation - that’s super hard, I feel like I’ve been hiding away (which has been hard in its own way) but I’m worried about socialising and having to ‘pretend’. I have one friend that knows but I really don’t want to explain to everyone when the truth is they don’t get it and what people say to help simply doesn’t.
I lost my mum in 2015 so not having her is also a big kicker for me 😞

Wishing all of you a positive week x

Crazydoglady123 · 29/03/2021 07:30

@Marvellouslymadmum I totally forgot it was your birthday yesterday 🤦🏽‍♀️ Happy Birthday for yesterday lovely 🥳 Did you have a nice takeaway? Aww I have an Apple Watch. You'll be obsessing at your HR now 😉

@Ashleighz88 welcome! Another 88' baby! When are you 33? Glad your on the right path now. I'm just about to start IVF and a few other ladies on here are already going through it or about to start too so that helps a lot

Marvellouslymadmum · 29/03/2021 07:39

@Crazydoglady123 thank you! I had a great day and lovely takeaway thank you ☺️ heart rate was the first thing I looked at when I got the watch 🤦🏼‍♀️ the oh has no idea he's added to my tracking lol

Aimzie · 29/03/2021 08:37

Had a dream last night I got 3 positive tests 😭😭 can you please leave my head and turn into reality 😂

Ashleighz88 · 29/03/2021 08:53

Thanks for being so welcome everyone.

@Crazydoglady123 I'm 33 in December, started ttc just before turning 30 😱 such a long hard road, glad a few are at the ivf stage hopefully a lot of success in the group and we can all support.

@polejunkie so so sorry you lost your mum, that must be so hard on top of everything else. 😢 we are the same we've only told very few as I just can't be bothered with the advice and questions.

@Aimzie I hope that transfers into reality for you!

Aimzie · 29/03/2021 08:58

@Ashleighz88 awh your so sweet ❤️😘 welcome to the most amazing group of ladies, I've felt so little stress the last month being able to rant and check in with everyone here. I hope this journey doesn't last too much longer for you & you get the baby you've been dreaming for ❤️❤️

Crazydoglady123 · 29/03/2021 09:21

@Ashleighz88 yeah mines April and I started TTC in Jan 2018.

@Narwhal88 do you get any updates today on your embryos?

Sorry to hear about loosing your mum @polejunkie

@Aimzie 3 BFPS would be amazing!

I feel so much more bloated today. I love sleeping on my front and kept waking up in the night having turned onto my front and it hurting my ovaries/stomach. So tempted to give myself an extra couple of days of buserelin and start now. I've just rung my IVF clinic and waiting for a nurse to call me back

polejunkie · 29/03/2021 09:24

@Ashleighz88 @Crazydoglady123 thanks ladies x

@Narwhal88 yes waiting for updates from you, hope you hear some positive news soon!

Narwhal88 · 29/03/2021 10:02

@Crazydoglady123 @polejunkie no our clinic doesn't look at them until day 5 as they have a do not disturb policy! So we won't know until Wednesday morning. I think it's actually easier not knowing for now as I would stress out waiting for the call.
Bless you @Crazydoglady123 not long to go now until you should start to feel better, hopefully you can start sooner.

@Ashleighz88 welcome, lots of us in your shoes here!

@Marvellouslymadmum happy birthday for yesterday, glad you had a lovely day 🙂

Also, on the light period chat, you couldn't get any lighter than mine, I get maybe a day of red blood, sometimes only when I wipe and then a couple of days of brown spotting. I thought this meant my lining must be thin but it was 8.7mm at my last scan which was perfect apparently. I was only on the pill for 2 years about 5 years ago so it wasn't that.

polejunkie · 29/03/2021 12:00

@Narwhal88 I see! Yes in a way at least you're not stressing about the waiting, knowing it'll be weds is way better than hoping and praying for an update that doesn't come. Thinking positively for you!

@Marvellouslymadmum happy belated birthday!!

I've just had my bloods done, really hoping the thyroid meds have improved my levels enough for IVF referral to be officially submitted...!

MIW01 · 29/03/2021 12:00

@Crazydoglady123 this is the problem, my basal FSH levels are too high for funding so I'm not eligible for funding in this area, either! And on top of they, I've now found a lot of clinics won't take on patients with levels as high as mine anyway!

@notyetamumbuttrying I think they should still do a HyCoSy cause that's how they check your tubes?!

Thanks@Annny27 I wish I could say I'm in shock but I'm really not. I had a sneaking suspicion something had been missed but no idea it would be this bad of a cocktail up, now trying to get my head around it may not be possible for me to have a biological child!

@Narwhal88 I'll be writing to everyone in both regions about how awful this is, they can not be allowed to get away with it!

@Dogmum13 I get this but I just thought it was part and parcel of normal period pain? I've never had endo mentioned to me but tbh, with this string of incompetence courtesy of the NHS atm I wouldn't be surprised if that's something else they missed!

polejunkie · 29/03/2021 12:04

@MIW01 so sorry for everything that you've been put through - I found with my endo diagnosis (12 yrs ago) I had to tell my GP what I thought it was and really push for laps (both times) due to pelvic pain, painful intercourse and ridiculous periods, got incorrectly diagnosed with IBS first, amongst a couple of other things.

I also got repeatedly told to have a baby (somewhat ironic at this point in my life...) as it would 'cure' me... When I had my daughter, low and behold most of my symptoms went, such a strange thing endo.

Dogmum13 · 29/03/2021 12:13

@MIW01 it's not like af cramps. Is that what your referring to? It definitely wouldn't be normal to have period pain throughout your whole cycle. If I get af cramps, I don't every month but do most months, they are completely different and only last a few hours - usually gone or dulled down a lot by the next day

I'm pretty sure mine is endo but still waiting to see someone 😔

MIW01 · 29/03/2021 12:36

@Dogmum13 no this is different to cramps ... I get it around ovulation amd just before AF. I get cramps to but it sounds like what you're describing.

@polejunkie I gpt told to have a baby age 23 to 'cure' my symptoms! I didn't meet my fiancée until my 26th birthday, shortly after diagnosed with ME so it's been a hell of a journey with my health over the years. I 1st raised concerns about early menopause age 23 and asked for tests age 26 as part of this whole journey. Started TTC age 32 in 2018. So I am just mortified!

@Ashleighz88 sorry to hear you've also had a nightmare TTC - I've recently been sharing mine.

Dogmum13 · 29/03/2021 13:06

@MIW01 hmm I would definitely ask them about endo then xx

notyetamumbuttrying · 29/03/2021 13:29

@MIW01 I thought a lap checked tubes as well as that's where they look for it? Think I'll just wait now and speak to the surgeon about it all.

@Dogmum13 have you been referred to a gynaecologist with a specialist interest in endo yet?

OP posts:
Dogmum13 · 29/03/2021 13:40

@notyetamumbuttrying referred to gynae last August but not heard anything yet. Last time I was referred I think it was just a normal gynae I saw and the lap was negative so worried I'll be back to square one this time too

MIW01 · 29/03/2021 14:06

Just found out my FSH was high in June 2019! 9.2! And cut off for treatment is 10! I don't have words to describe how I feel right now . . . I walked into that appointment and explained my concerns about early menopause because of family history and despite results wasn't advised of this and told, incorrectly, everything is normal!

Motherofkittens28 · 29/03/2021 15:50

@MIW01 I don't know if this is helpful or not but my private clinic never mentioned anything about my FSH levels (which is 10.2 I think). Is it just one private clinic you checked with about that? I'm sure you would be able to find one to treat you.

Marvellouslymadmum · 29/03/2021 17:49

@Narwhal88 Ooh I'd be biting my nails off waiting 😂

@MIW01 I'm Not surprised that you're cross, I would be livid! There must be someone that can help

On the light af chat mine seems to be condensed, so I get very light day 1 just when I wipe them day two goes mental heavy and clots then day 3 starts to go lighter again then onto brown spotting! So I get everything but in quick Succession and I've no idea what that means!

Thank you for the birthday love ladies ❤️

Dogmum13 · 29/03/2021 18:29

@Marvellouslymadmum mines very similar xx

MIW01 · 29/03/2021 18:29

Hello @Motherofkittens28 that's interesting your levels weren't mentioned. The clinic I was referred to by the NHS in the previous region I saw for my HyCosy told me my levels were normal! So I'm sure there are clinics that will go ahead with my levels. The issue I have is it means I'm not eligible for funding in my area and we can't afford the treatment privately as we're totally maxed out due to our recent house renovation (which is still ongoing) so I'm really upset as clearly we don't have any time to save up! I'm already 35 now.

MIW01 · 29/03/2021 18:32

@notyetamumbuttrying I think perhaps they are interchangeable then. A Laparoscopy has never been suggested to me. But then neither has endo but I've had symptoms that may suggest it and basically just fobbed off.
