@Marvellouslymadmum haha 😆 I understood it perfectly as well so I think I'm at least at masters google stage 😝
I am odd though right! Will defo be pushing for that repeat amh as it just makes no sense whatsoever alongside my other results!

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 27/03/2021 12:33

@notyetamumbuttrying yes I'd definitely push for it! I'm looking forward to getting mine done so I can see what that and afc are like, according to my fsh I'm normal but who knows lol

polejunkie · 27/03/2021 13:27

Wow lots of chat to catch up on!!

@Narwhal88 that’s so good 😊 fingers crossed those little eggs keep going, I think we all share the same fears about egg collection, that’s actually the thing I’m most apprehensive about in the whole ivf process.

I have my bloods Monday to check if thyroid has improved and fingers crossed our referral will follow shortly after...

Hope you’re all enjoying your weekends, I feel the most relaxed I have in ages, perhaps because I feel like we’ve finally made a bit of progress being told we’ll be funded and referred 🤷🏼‍♀️ x

paintfairy · 27/03/2021 16:30

All this test talk! Confused They don't do amh here. But they do fsh and it does have to be under 10 here for ivf, as she told me that the other day. The one that counts for it has to be taken early month though: day 2-5. Its so bizarre how the nhs differs on what tests they even give you though, dependent on area?

Crazydoglady123 · 27/03/2021 17:15

@Narwhal88 brilliant news 🙌

Crazydoglady123 · 27/03/2021 17:18

So just had my private scan and I haven't ovulated. My follicles are now f@#king massive! I don't know what the heck to do 🤷🏽‍♀️ My IVF consultant said on our consultation that I need to ovulate before I can start my down regs which is next Wednesday. I've forwarded them the scan and going to call Monday. My left ovary is so huge she could barely fit it on the scan and it's pushing my right ovary and uterus out of place. She said if they pop now I'm definitely going to know about it 😭 I hate Clomid and I wish I'd never listened to my consultant 🥺

notyetamumbuttrying · 27/03/2021 17:19

@Marvellouslymadmum I really hope it aligns and you don't get my amh weirdness, it'll drive you nuts! 🤪
@polejunkie glad you're feeling relaxed. Me too, knowing that my next period should be when we start with the injections etc. So coming on this time wasn't too heartbreaking.
@paintfairy yeah it is odd. Most won't do amh tho until you're referred which is a bit annoying as you're left waiting to get it if the referral takes a while. Mine took 5 months but that was Covid delays! Nearly there now with getting started though. How long until you start iui?

OP posts:
notyetamumbuttrying · 27/03/2021 17:41

@Crazydoglady123 oh jeez hun! How can they make you ovulate? Confused

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 27/03/2021 18:02

@Crazydoglady123 oh no!! Do you think they will just make you wait until you've ovulated to start? What a nightmare for you 😔

@notyetamumbuttrying oh god me too! I'll be demanding second opinions left right and centre 😂

paintfairy · 27/03/2021 19:37

@notyetamumbuttrying next cycle i can start IUI if all blood results back and ok. I'm ovulating about now so it's not long at all! 😵

Crazydoglady123 · 27/03/2021 19:42

Thanks @Marvellouslymadmum @notyetamumbuttrying I have no idea and I'm really worried now what to do...

Marvellouslymadmum · 27/03/2021 19:53

@paintfairy oh that's exciting!

@Crazydoglady123 the clinic may give you something to make you ovulate, I've been reading so much on all this recently and from what I understand the hcg trigger shot that they give you before egg collection is to make you ovulate so they may do that then start the down regs once done, try not to worry though I'm sure there's something they can do

Crazydoglady123 · 27/03/2021 21:10

I messaged my NHS consultant on Instagram and had a reply and he said they should go down and that I need another scan in two weeks time which he'll book Monday. If I don't feel well then I need to go A&E. I asked about the buserelin and he said it'll shrink the follicles when I start taking it so just to get through to Wednesday now 🙏

Marvellouslymadmum · 27/03/2021 23:47

@Crazydoglady123 oh that's good! So you can still start the meds and that will sort it? Sounds like A good plan, hopefully you won't be in any pain though!

notyetamumbuttrying · 28/03/2021 10:25

@Marvellouslymadmum you really will! I feel like I'm losing the will to fight at mo 😔
@paintfairy ooh that's exciting then! Hopefully you'll be one of those ppl who get pregnant right before treatment!
@Crazydoglady123 I'm glad you got a response and have a POA now! So all can continue as normal for weds then?

MIW01 · 28/03/2021 10:42

That's wonderful news @Narwhal88 fingers crossed for you

Thanks for sharing those results @notyetamumbuttrying it doesn't make any sense all this variation

@kerrym87 they won't test AMH here so I'm getting that done privately. There are clinics that specified in women with DOR but obviously extortionately expensive

Thanks for the resources @Marvellouslymadmum

@MiniBaker essentialy these results being 'off' suggests DOR. They also usual basal FSH in follicular phase which is what they've done for me and mine indicates DOR which suggests early menopause. This means I have less good eggs left and I am less likely to respond to IVF and therefore a lot of clinics won't touch me!

What I'm most upset about is I've explained to the NHS since the age of 23 that I have a family history of early menopause and I've had investigations for other symptoms related throughout my adult life and when I walked in to GP office in June 2019 1st thing I raised concerns about was early menopause! It's on both sides of my family! And I had tests done then and reassured. I just can't get my head around why it wasn't taken seriously and still isn't!

paintfairy · 28/03/2021 10:59

@notyetamumbuttrying haven't even got time to, I don't think! There's still dye swimming around in there, so I'm not sure that's helpful this cycle. Plus we have only dtd once at all and I should have ovulated by now. If we ended up with another cycle to try then I suppose I'd be hopeful. Maybe. 🤣 But I'm not sure we'll get that to find out.
@MIW01 how old are you now?

MIW01 · 28/03/2021 11:12

@paintfairy I turned 35 in September. I started this TTC journey aged 32!

I just looked my medical records which tell me I had FSH tested in June 2019 and that results were 'normal' but doesn't give me a damn number!!! So frustrating! I don't try must them at all because until last week they were reassuring me that 13.9 is normal (that was taken on CD 4).

MiniBaker · 28/03/2021 11:53

Thank you @MIW01 I understand - so these results are really just investigating how I would respond to IVF? They are not looking for lumps and bumps.

It sounds like you’ve had a really frustrating journey - it’s so hard when you know in your gut that there is an issue and professionals tell you it’s ‘normal’ at least you have this information now and can use this to help you move forward ❤️

Motherofkittens28 · 28/03/2021 12:00

Hi everyone, anyone else whose had a laparoscopy recently had tons of egg white cervical mucus afterwards? @Narwhal88 and @kerrym87 am I right in thinking you've both had one? Technically I suppose I was due to ovulate this weekend but the surgeon said he couldn't see a follicle ready to ovulate on Thursday. Also pretty much since ttc I've had hardly any ewcm at all so this is a big change. I am also bleeding but I think that's normal, especially as they removed a vaginal cyst during the procedure. It's just odd to suddenly have so much, it's almost like post sex discharge but we haven't dtd in 4 weeks because of the ivf and social distancing pre my operation. Weird!

Narwhal88 · 28/03/2021 12:56

@Crazydoglady123 glad you got an answer, I love that your consultant is on Instagram lol! Your follicles are massive!! My largest were 19mm when we triggered!

@Motherofkittens28 no sorry I haven't had a lap. Maybe it is just because they disturbed it inside you and normally it just doesn't come out? Not sure.

@MIW01 thank you! I can't believe the limit is less than 10 FSH in your area and they don't go on AMH. In my area you have to have an AMH of above 5 to qualify. I just looked up my FSH and it was 6.87 but it says up to 12.5 is normal so you aren't far off.

Marvellouslymadmum · 28/03/2021 13:02

@notyetamumbuttrying noooo you need to keep upbeat so you can give them what for and make sure they do your second test!

@MIW01 it's so unfortunate but the gp's just seem to give you the 'no no everything fine off you go' speech all the time! So insensitive 😕

@Motherofkittens28 I can't offer any advice as I haven't had one but hopefully it may mean your body is normalising and resetting now it can!

notyetamumbuttrying · 28/03/2021 13:38

@MIW01 I'm so sorry you've been mistreated for so many years by our health service. It's truly shocking! I hope you go to PALS to complain.
@paintfairy ah I see! Do you know how long it hangs around in there?
@Marvellouslymadmum I'll try!

Also on the lap chat, for those with knowledge. Do you think I should get a hycosy or just wait to have the lap done? I'm toying with going for hycosy next week but also waiting on a date for the lap for endo diagnosis and excision. Not sure if a hycosy is still worth it if a lap is imminent...

OP posts:
Narwhal88 · 28/03/2021 14:07

@notyetamumbuttrying I didn't think a lap would check your tubes? Which is what a hycosy is for? Whereas a lap would check for endo etc? Have they not sent you for a hycosy as part of the fertility tests?

Crazydoglady123 · 28/03/2021 14:18

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying @Marvellouslymadmum I hope so. Again, need to confirm with my IVF clinic tomorrow.

@Narwhal88 I was starting to worry I was going to be a wimp when I got close to egg collection as I feel uncomfortable atm with 6 follicles but at least I know why, because they're 6 massive follicles 🙄 How are you doing? I've just started watching The Irregulars today on Netflix and that's good

@MIW01 I'm so sorry they haven't done more for you considering. Would you be eligible for funded IVF?

@Motherofkittens28 on my anovulatory cycle last month I had EWCM around the middle of my cycle.

@notyetamumbuttrying is the Hycosy on NHS or private?
