@Motherofkittens28 was it like a proper announcement or told you on the side? I think people get so wrapped up in their own bubble they forget others affected. Re the Covid test, can you not go get a lateral flow test tonight?

@polejunkie we’re with bath care, but only for EC and transfer. Doing all the rest with a satellite clinic that’s a bit closer to us.

@notyetamumbuttrying I’m cd5 at the moment, so my next af is due around 16th April (unless I have a super early ovulation like last month!) so if we get to start next month it will be around early May for starting injections.

@crazycatlady1981 you must be pretty near to me, we have a satellite too which is where I went for baseline today, Oxford is a bit of a trip but not too far so satellite is v handy

@Crazydoglady123 I'm not sure if they would accept that, the test was booked by them as part of the pre opp procedures and should have been back by 9am this morning. Where do you even get a lateral flow test from? I guess if that is an option they might have some at the hospital and tell me to come in and take one? I've been isolating from my OH for a week, I'll be so upset if its all for nothing. Can't believe this can happen for preopp testing, what a total waste of resources!

@polejunkie @notyetamumbuttrying @Crazydoglady123 they messaged me privately to let me know before they announced on fb. I know there's nothing else they could have done to make it easier but it's still shit. I feel like if it had taken them at least a few months it would have been easier to take.

So I can stop grumbling now, they phoned me at 8:30 to confirm that my test was negative. I just assumed they'd all finished for the day as the recorded message said they closed at 6. All steam ahead for tomorrow!

@polejunkie I'm just south of Oxford but we've opted for Swindon - I know that Oxford is meant to be one of the best for fertility but I've worked with a lot of Midwifery and Nursing students, and I find the A34 / Oxford traffic unbearable lol. You'll be really well looked after there

Woke up at 4am with epic cramps and AF this morning and definitely feeling moody with it. Getting seriously fed up of this now. I know I'm early days in the testing but everything we've had so far - SA, hormones, my ultrasound and TV scan - have all come back great. Which I realise is not something to be complaining about but I just wish I knew what is actually going on. It's so frustrating, I just want to be doing something to feel like I'm making progress. My appointment with the clinic next month is just a phone appointment too so it could still be ages before I get any more tests done. And also sick of people telling me "you just need to relax, don't stress about it"... Thanks!

On the upside, at least I can have a drink on my birthday.

@Motherofkittens28 good luck and take it easy when you come round, plenty of painkillers! I never got a call to give result the said if you don't hear its all fine. I'm still a bit tweaky from mine nearly 2 weeks on, but they did drill my ovaries and remove endo. So I have a question for anyone that may know- since the norethisterone and ovarian drilling my basal body temperature after AF is about 0.2 degrees higher than usual (but still much lower than literally phase) although still a bit up n down as per usual! It was higher than usual too when I took it

@kerrym87 could be because your body is working harder to heal from the op. When I had all my cysts rupture and was in pain, that week my resting heart rate was up and I think it's related to healing etc

@PeanutButterBrownies sorry af arrived 👎 'relaxing ' just isn't in our donkey vocabulary is it? Even if we do 'relax' it doesn't work 😑 It is so easy for people to say it when they haven't been on a realy long ttc journey. We have a phone call with the clinic next week so hoping to get an idea of what we might need to do, tests etc. A lot of waiting at the moment!

@PeanutButterBrownies we're very close indeed then!! I was offered Bristol, Bath or Oxford... Not much distance in it tbh honest but I do spend a lot of time in ox so went with that, traffic can be a nightmare I agree!

I echo your sentiments re 'don't stress... it'll happen...' etc. not helpful when you're going through turmoil each month :(

@Crazydoglady123 my trigger was buserelin at 8:30pm last night. Egg collection is at 8:30am tomorrow so I guess I am first down! My ovaries feel very swollen this morning but I am ok thanks, walking a bit hunched over though 🤣
