Hi @polejunkie and welcome! I'm not as far along as you guys, just waiting for my fertility referral but I'm taking aaaaallll the suppliments (about 20 a day 🤦🏼‍♀️) and foods etc lol is your referral to fertility or actually for ivf? I thought you weren't eligible for ivf on nhs if you have a child already? I know I'm not but I'm also over their age bracket anyway 🙄

P.s. i love pole too! I have a great one at home but it's currently in the loft as no room where we are living at the moment 😑

@Crazydoglady123 wow that is quick! Must be nice to have dates to work with though after TTC, I hope it goes well for you, I think once you're into the swing of things you'll just get used to it.

Wow that sounds amazing! I have a pole room at home but lack motivation these days I'll be honest... I keep thinking after each lockdown 'maybe I'll be pregnant when the studio opens so I'll take a break' no pregnancy here so I keep half heartedly returning just to keep sane in all honesty.

@Marvellouslymadmum - IVF referral, we've picked our clinic and had all the NHS fertility tests / appts, I'm not sure if we qualify because my daughter is from a previous relationship? So my other half doesn't have children. I've read that different areas have different criteria and it depends on the wait, ours has no wait list so perhaps they have less strict criteria? Couldn't tell you I'm afraid - Will you be going private for IVF then?

@clolo thanks for the wise words last night. I'm always an anxious mess before I come on and like to make myself feel worse by beating myself up!! 🙄 feel a bit more stable today so I'll prob come on tomorrow rather than Friday as I have all the aches and cramps that I usually get the day before. Great news about May! I'll either be late April or mid May start depending on the 6th April outcome. That's our next appointment date.

@crazycatlady1981 your amh and afc are defo normal for you age! Mines 5.4 and 12 and I'm 35 😳 hoping for an amh redo at my 6th April appointment as apparently it can fluctuate. Here's hoping 🤞🏾

I'm a big fan of pole too, how strange that there's so many of us here when I thought it was a relatively niche sport - I hope it doesn't mean anything I've also been having those thoughts about taking a break from pole because I'm sure I'll be pregnant soon, and also whenever I'm in my TWW and I get dizzy when I invert I'm like OMG DOES THIS MEAN I'M PREGNANT? I don't do myself any favours

I'm also obsessed with seeds and all the superfoods - pineapple, pomegranate, brazil nuts haha. I like my seeds in salads and stiry fry for a cheeky crunch, or with my morning yoghurt/smoothie. I hadn't heard that goji berries were good for TTC! They're lovely but because they're quite pricey I never get them - not I have a perfect excuse! Thanks for the tip @crazycatlady1981

@polejunkie I hope so. I'm in the best headspace I've been in the last 6 months atm but it's a fine balance as I don't want to set all my hopes on it as it's not guaranteed at all. I have a son from previous so was first told we won't qualify for funded but then recently found out where we live there's no funding for anyone...brutal!
That's exactly how I keep feeling with pole and the gym. Pole is the best for taking your mind off things!

@polejunkie lol maybe all the bashing and pole kisses distract our bodies from baby making? AMAZING idea though, next time I'm ovulating I'll set up the pole, have sex and then rush to hang upside for 10 minutes like some crazy pole bat. A hoop would probably be more comfortable but I've never tried hoop...

@Crazydoglady123 eugh I know! I get dizzy enough on a spinny pole as it is haha. One of my pole buddies got pregnant during lockdown and she did alright to start with then after 3 classes of having to leave early due to sickness she gave up. But then someone else in my class was poling at like 7 months pregnant back in the studio days!

@notyetamumbuttrying I wasn't a bendy person either and I'm still not compared to others by a long way, but you do get a bit bendier with practice. You should definitely give it a go especially if my pole-bat fertilisation theory works

@notyetamumbuttrying @Crazydoglady123 scan went ok, just got a call to say I am triggering tonight for egg collection on Friday! Got some big follicles but still quite a few that need to catch up. Nurse said to me on Monday they like between 6-12 so looks about average. Though I always see people get between 15-25 on Instagram, I guess maybe they have PCOS? Quality not quantity I keep telling myself!

Oh and my brother and sister in law announced their pregnancy last night. They fell the first month of trying, had a miscarriage and then fell again the following month 🙄 like wtf how does that even happen, it's not fair. I was very angry with the world last night, it means I'm basically now going to have to cut my family off for a while as I just can't handle it.

@polejunkie ahh yes that may be it, we have no children together either but both have two each from previous relationships but in our area even if one of you has one that's it no ivf plus their cut off age is 40 so we would've been out in that front now anyway! If we need to we will go private yes, we should get afc and amh for me soon and the sa for oh then we will know where we stand at the moment

Funnily enough I've seen someone carry on playing with their pole right up to 8 months pregnant! 😳 I definitely wouldn't do it myself, I wouldn't have done it with my first two and if I ever get another chance I certainly won't be taking any risks!!

@PeanutButterBrownies the hoops do look fun and the big silk things but I've never tried either. Loving that we are now infertile donkey/warthogs with pole-bat fertilisation methods 😂😂

@polejunkie I literally have no idea when I’m going to start ivf. I have an appointment on 12th April with consultant, but I don’t know if that means I will start on the cycle straight after that or not! I’ve had all the blood tests, scans etc done and we’ve got the go ahead from nhs for funding, so I’m ready to go asap! I’m hoping I’ll get a schedule on 12th🤞🏻

@Narwhal88 6-12 sounds good! You never know a few more might grow from the trigger shot too! Such crap timing for a family pregnancy announcement! Bloody unicorns strike again! How awful! Hope you are ok! 💕

Anyone want to share what clinic they’re with ? Sorry if this has already been asked / discussed. A timeline must help, even if the wait is still agonising and the meds send you on a rollercoaster! I’m waiting for first contact with our clinic, no idea what to expect x

Apparently there is a backlog but I'm due into hospital at 7:30am so not sure what's going to happen! If it gets cancelled because of the covid test not coming back in time I'll be furious!
