TTC baby #2 March Bus

Hey 😋

Thought I would start a thread for people trying to conceive their 2nd child. Hope some of you lovely ladies want to join in to keep each other sane!

So as I said I’m TTC #2. This is my first cycle. I’ve been tracking my period on the Flo app since my DS was born so have a good idea of my ovulation window. According to the app I’m due to ovulate tomorrow but I got a stronger result on a clear blue ovulation test yesterday than what I did today. DTD yesterday and hopefully again today if we find the time.

My first pregnancy was kind of unexpected i fell pregnant very quickly - around 2 months - after coming off the pill. I have not been on the pill for over a year and have been using condoms instead so it will be interesting to see how long it will take this time.

@moonpie32 weird isn’t it? I had a few cramps but not like the usual dull inner cramp like AF.

I don’t think it’s like AF but this would be my first off the pill so I suppose I can’t tell - deffo much darker and not blood like if you know what I mean!

Stopped the pill last week. 🤷‍♀️ It's v early days, but same as last time, it's suddenly become all I can think about.

@tuxedocat yep I know exactly what you mean. It's very odd. If it's implantation then yay! Fingers crossed that's what it is for you!

@May2311 erm I can't actually remember. I was on holiday and remember some spotting but nothing like this. I'd rather I just had a full AF so I know for certain.

I didn’t have any spotting with my first. I agree with @moonpie32 I wish there was a definitive way to work out because I don’t feel like it’s AF and (TMI - I put tissue down to work out and it’s definitely spotty rather than the usual ‘flow’ of AF’) but it feels so wrong to bleed, so I’m kinda just going to expect the worst and anything better is great.

Not sure how I feel about the next cycle - our son is a late nov baby so we were cutting things close with this cycle 🤣 but I know December birthdays are difficult! Equally i don’t want to wait another cycle because like everyone said, it’s so bloody consuming.
It makes you realise how much you want it 💞

@tuxedocat that's the best way I would describe it too. It's not even enough to warrant a pad. It's only when I wipe (sorry TMI!)

December birthdays are absolutely fine. My LOs birthday is the start of December. Everyone is cheery cos it's festive season and they get spoiled the rest of the year as well 🙈

@moonpie32 ahhh my son was due 6th dec! my dad has a late Dec birthday and hates it I guess it works differently for everyone!

It does sound unusual! But can't see how you could wish AF would just turn up so you can move onto next cycle. Hopefully tomorrow will bring certainty either way for you both!

We are just going to keep trying throughout as you never know you could end up early or later anyways! Plus I agree with it being Christmas time everyone is more cheery! Xxx

@tuxedocat mines was originally due 13th December but he was 9 days early. I think it probably depends on the age you are I guess and when in December. I'd mentioned to my hubby either this cycle I'm unsure about it next one will both result in December due dates and he wasn't bothered at all. So we decided not to skip.
I've had it since Wednesday which is why I think it's AF rather than implantation bleeding. As I read that only really lasts 1-2 days.

Ha I knew what you meant. Thing is, like I said my fertile week starts on Friday if this is AF 😂🙈 so I'd just like to know.

@moonpie32 I know what you mean - when we talked about trying we said we’d likely skip April but now we’re in the thick of it I don’t think we will want to stop, esp as my husband has been so disappointed with the negatives.

Yeah that’s what I read too- it seems so confusing. One bonus of FW being so close by, is that there’s not long to wait - but I guess it’s hard to be so sure too. I hope the next few days have some clarity for us 🤞🏻 I feel dead miserable!

@tuxedocat I remember saying that last time and then being pregnant 😂 we discussed it and my hubby said it could take 8 cycles like last time so do you really want to skip a month just incase it's a December birthday? I didn't want to tell him it didn't really work that way!

Exactly! Least if I know it is AF I know that we will be starting again this week 🙈

Hi, Hope it's okay to jump in at this stage. We're on our third cycle of TTC #2. It will be somewhere exactly at the end of March/start of April when we find out if we've been successful this time though, as I'm just starting the TWW. Ovulating either today or yesterday... I've had three days in a row saying peak on the Clearblue digital monitor (I have more than one monitor so I just use another one when the peak solid smiley comes up... That's probably ridiculous), so I inputted that information into three apps, and of the two that predict ovulation, one says yesterday and one says today 🤷‍♀️ Hope you are all doing well.

Hi everyone! I joined this thread a few weeks ago but didn't engage much because I got a bit lost in early testing and the disappointed of BFN's, I just decided to try and turn my brain off for a bit (it did not work!) Back now, TTC, second cycle (I know, still early days, I need to find a way of being more chilled about it!). According to my Flo app Ovulating on Tuesday but I'm sure I already have (had the classic symptoms and my cycle is normally a bit all over the place) fingers are crossed for this month!

Reading back on the thread it is so nice to see the BFP's :-) Huge congratulations to you all!! And lots of love to everyone waiting for theirs. There's something about this warmer weather and sunnier days that makes me feel hopeful! X

Also, our baby #1 was due on Christmas Day (she arrived two weeks later) but actually a birthday around that time of year has been really nice. It means lots of the family are around, people are off work etc. It does make the festive season a little more expensive and tiring (making sure we put as much effort in her DD's birthday as we do Christmas) but so far it's been lovely!

According to the apps i should be ovulating next weekend but i might try a couple of OPKs this week to see when it actually is. Husband works away Monday-Friday so I think we have to hope that just DTD on a weekend will be enough 🙈

I hope I didn’t cause any offence about the December birthday thought - my son was due 6th Dec but came early so he was late nov, but I remember everyone telling me how awful a December birthday would be! I was just curious because sometimes it feels like you get to have a little ‘choice’ when TTC even though ultimately you never know when it’s gonna happen!
My main worry really is everyone month = a month into a bigger age gap already and you never know how long it might just take.

@tuxedocat i dont think it would cause offence at all. Most people would think the same
The only reason why I wouldn't choose to have a baby on Christmas day is that they would obviously have to share their birthday with Christmas every year and i feel they would get less attention. Any other day i wouldn't mind at all.
But i feel the same as you, every month is a bigger age gap!
