TTC baby #2 March Bus

Hey 😋

Thought I would start a thread for people trying to conceive their 2nd child. Hope some of you lovely ladies want to join in to keep each other sane!

So as I said I’m TTC #2. This is my first cycle. I’ve been tracking my period on the Flo app since my DS was born so have a good idea of my ovulation window. According to the app I’m due to ovulate tomorrow but I got a stronger result on a clear blue ovulation test yesterday than what I did today. DTD yesterday and hopefully again today if we find the time.

My first pregnancy was kind of unexpected i fell pregnant very quickly - around 2 months - after coming off the pill. I have not been on the pill for over a year and have been using condoms instead so it will be interesting to see how long it will take this time.

No test this morning. My husband was so gutted yesterday and I’m trying to keep positive that still no AF. I checked my cervix it’s high and soft but I don’t think that’s any correlation to anything is it past ovulation?

I changed my ovia app to cycle length of 33 days so it’s a little closer to what my first cycle off pill was so now my predicted period is weds 25th! If that’s more accurate, than any test I’ve taken would be way too early. I also have no idea how long my luteal phase is either so i guess this doesn’t help much 😂

@JJ94 thank you! Still not full blown AF yet here so god knows what's going on with this cycle. BFPs for us next month though! Although my fertile week is like next Thursday already! 😂

I'm not sure about cervix. It gets lower closer to AF I think but I don't check it as I can't really tell 😂

@tuxedocat that sounds like good idea. As even if BFN you will still be debating whether it's too early so just give it a few more days. Fingers crossed for you.

@moonpie32 🤣 that is quick! Good though as at least you can get the "active/fun" part done and then it's just the waiting again 🙄

In a wild twist of events the test I got from
Amazon (the first response ones) are fake!!
I’ve just twigged there’s no indicator on the test at all and it doesn’t say first response on them anywhere.

Fuming! so now assuming the faint line was probably nothing.

@May2311 I think that's the joys of shorter cycles...although it's only 4 days shorter. Sure my husband will be happy 😂🙈

@tuxedocat fake tests? Wtf! I didn't even know there was such a thing! Thing is AF still isn't here so you aren't out. And it may still be a little too early to test so don't worry ☺️

What a lovely sunny day it's been today 😎! We have been on a big walk which was lovely getting out in the sunshine! ( not that we do much else but walks at the moment 🤪)

@moonpie32 morning! All good here. Looks like it's going to be a nice day again! 🙌 My LO was up with her teeth in the night so I'm shattered but trying to look at the positive that surely that means they are closer to breaking through🙈🤪

@May2311 it's a bit overcast here but it always is 😂 aw no I remember that all too well. I hated teething. I just felt so sorry for my LO. We are just awaiting the second molars now 😩

@May2311 oh no teething sucks - it’s so tough on them, we loved anbesol liquid but sometimes there’s so little you can do. I hope today is restful for you!

@moonpie32 no test today - I’m gonna get some FRER for tomorrow or Tuesday seeing how I feel. I was reading up on implantation last night and now it can take 7 days or so for there to be enough hormone to be picked up.

I had period like cramps on Monday I think which put me at CD25 and I’m currently on CD31 so tomorrow would be 7 days since then if that was implantation.

I’m still having my weird vivid dreams and my skin and hair feels oiler! It’s hard to know what’s what and I feel like you over notice everything during this time (and you google way more than you should!)

@tuxedocat yeah implantation is like 6-10 days after ovulation and if you have bleeding it can be 1-2 weeks after fertilisation. I think hcg starts before implantation and doubles every 24-48 hours. So the 7 days after makes sense! I still can't get my head around all the dates to be honest
I was still thinking this morning that my spotting was implantation bleeding as it's so incredibly light (as in now 1/10th of how my normal AF is!) but it's total wishful thinking 🤣

I agree though. Like anything you start Googling and end up down a rabbit hole reading something so obscure and unrelated.

@moonpie32 same - I had to really read and work out the dates and figure what was when 😂

Have you tested to be sure? I’ve read many of women thinking it’s AF and it’s implantation, esp if it’s not like your usual AF.

In all honesty I’m just way too scared to take a test 😂😂

I tested again on Thursday I think but again it was an Asda cheapie. I will just see how today/tomorrow goes.

Thing is I totally understand you being scared cos if it's positive it's a big change to go from 1 to 2 and if it's negative you don't want to be disappointed

@moonpie32 @tuxedocat I agree as in I know why your too scared- I think you both doing right thing see how the next few days go and perhaps test Tuesday/Wednesday ( if you can hold out till then!) if you do test again try and make sure decent test ( and not fake 🤣) then hopefully at least you will have the certainty either way! Xxx

@moonpie32 I think I’m just feeling more comfortable in the ignorant bubble rather than the disappointment and then the shock of it!

I’ve just picked up some FRER ready for tomorrow or Tuesday spoiler: the rest packing is bright pink so I think it’s legit 🤣 I say I picked them up, I’m 30 and I’m too scared to go buy my own tests 😂 so I sent my husband. He doesn’t care whatsoever and he finds it so funny I’m so embarrassed about it 😂

Eeeek, I’m so hopeful for you. Hopefully the next few days will go fast and AF stays away 🤞🏻

@tuxedocat 😂😂 I'm nearly 32 and I'm the same except I use scan and shop.

I reckon it is AF just lighter than usual (which I'm certainly not complaining about!)

I have a bit of pinky brown blood. This will be TMI but more like CM lotiony texture than wet. A few stringy bits of pink when I wiped.

Not sure if it’s implantation or if it’s just AF, I’ll have to see 💞

@tuxedocat that's exactly what I've been getting for the past 3/4 days! And I'm as unsure as you are. However I caved and took an IC test and it was so white it was almost see through 🤣
