Hi ladies

I'm 23 and my partner (27) and I are TTC baby #1!

It was our first month trying this month and AF is due 2nd/3rd of March, so far just BFN! My cycle is roughly 26/27 days! But didn't expect to get pregnant first cycle so I'm feeling ok 👌🏼

Anyone else TTC baby no 1 with a similar cycle? 🥰 xx

@taytay2020 @Kty09 yes we're super close cycle wise which is great fun! I always wish there were proper group chats for Mumsnet haha I struggle to keep up with it all sometimes!!

@Genevive123 I know me too! It’s good having people to talk to about it that are in a similar situation, and I haven’t told any family or friends.

@Kty09 definitely! I haven't told any family or friends either ! Me and OH have been together 5 years now so some people have been saying "aw must be your turn soon" which adds so much pressure lol

Ooh great! Yeah all good thanks, 3 days into my cycle now so only 2 left of AF! Then time to get BD'ing! To be honest I'm hoping it's not this cycle but next cycle as it's around my birthday I ovulate and estimate due date would be 3rd of January which is my nans birthday!!

Are you ready to get tracking ovulation this month?

@Genevive123 aw it’ll be a lovely surprise for everyone when you do tell them! Think that’s one of the most exciting things that goes through my head haha!

Fab exciting times 😃 I always think about the dates and things too lol, conceiving this month would be due right around Xmas - crazy.
Yes I downloaded the app so going to track using that. The only thing that worries me a bit is that OH sometimes gets called away for work so if I get peak and that happens I’ll think the month is a right off but it’ll be good to just find out my ovulation anyway I guess.

Showed DP that and he admitted that when he cums now the thought goes through his mind 'Could this be it?' - and I get the same thought at that moment! Scary and so exciting at the same time

@kty09 @genevive123 I haven't told family (my mum will blab to everyone so I won't be telling her anything for a while) but I have told three close friends, two of whom had babies within the last couple of years, so they're good sources of advice.

We're 32/34 and got married last year after 7 years together (and 13 years as friends) but we haven't seen anyone in person lately to get asked obnoxious questions! Silver linings...

@taytay2020 @Genevive123 yeah I think its a bit of pressure and would feel like everyone was always wondering if it had happened yet but it’s good to have people to discuss it with, I would never ask anyone any questions if I knew anyone in a similar situation but I know I would always wonder ha!

@Kty09 I'm so excited to fall pregnant I'm so hoping this month is our month with two cycles this month I'm just praying !!

By my calculations I should be ovulating on Wednesday, but I'm a bit confused - when is it important to DTD, on the day itself, the day before or the day after? We usually make love most nights anyway, but just checking in case we somehow miss out on our first month of trying!

Fingers crossed for you @Genevive123🤞🏼 @Annwen the few days leading up to ovulation are important too which is why you have a fertile window as sperm can live for up to 5 days inside so technically there should be some waiting when you do ovulate - probs good to cover all bases before during and after lol. X

Hi everyone! We have decided to try for baby No1! Started AF today - never have I wanted it to start and finish so badly! Ordered myself some OPKs for when AF ends. Honestly, I never knew TTC would be so complicated! Fingers crossed for everyone!

I’m only on cycle 2 and I feel like every day drags waiting for something already 🤣 I’m going to start OPKs as of tomorrow I think - AF finished today, because last month I didn’t track straight away and I was unsure when I actually ovulated. Fingers crossed for you too 🤞🏼

@Kty09 our cycles are so similar haha we both finished today so I'm starting OPK's tomorrow too! How exciting lovely, I had a bit of a meltdown today freaking out about the birth of a baby that I'm not even pregnant with yet lol x

@whiteshark haha course you can! TTC #1 from a new relationship ☺️ ooh exciting ! Do you have to give it a few months for your cycle to regulate or can you begin trying straight away? I've never been on contraception! X

@Genevive123 I know so similar! My ov is supppsed to be around next weekend which I’m glad about with OH sometimes working away. Hopefully it works out good timing 🤞🏼 I overthink things like that too, it’s all quite overwhelming sometimes isn’t it!

I am going to use an app to try and plot ovulation and periods etc. Hoping my body returns to normal quickly. I think it will take a few months to settle down. So we are just seeing what happens until I am back to a regular cycle.

@Kty09 no way!! Haha I'm due to ovulate next Sunday 😂 literally my cycle twin! It is definitely over whelming don't get me wrong I can't wait as we're just about to buy a house and doing up the nursery will be amazing! I can't wait to become pregnant and hope it happens quickly I'll worry about the birth then I think 😂

Haha omg or just general life twin I think as we have just bought our first home too!! That’s crazy! I know me too 🤞🏼 My mum said she didn’t have any problems and it happened really fast for her so I’m hoping I follow in her footsteps! It’s very exciting x

We were thinking about moving to a bigger house before having children but we're juuust finishing decorating our current house and now I want to enjoy it for a bit before we give it up! So I've started googling space-saving baby ideas instead (first world problems I know)
