Hi ladies

I'm 23 and my partner (27) and I are TTC baby #1!

It was our first month trying this month and AF is due 2nd/3rd of March, so far just BFN! My cycle is roughly 26/27 days! But didn't expect to get pregnant first cycle so I'm feeling ok 👌🏼

Anyone else TTC baby no 1 with a similar cycle? 🥰 xx

@Clairabelle1 ahh that’s so cute! Are you trying to stay chilled or are you all out thinking of names etc. I can’t stay calm 😂 but OH doesn’t want to get carried away before 12 weeks. My due date works out at 16th Feb 🥰

@taytay2020 @Genevive123 the conceive plus is meant to be used about 5 mins before (I didn’t get the internal one) really do have everything crossed for you both.xx

Lebe14 · 10/06/2021 21:38

@Marshmallow190 and @Clairabelle1 I bet it's so hard not to get overexcited about it. I'd be exactly the same.

Been reading up about evening primrose oil too and how that can help increase EWCM. Believe you take it from CD1 up until you ovulate and then stop. Just bought some so will give that a go this month too!! X

xoJellyBean · 11/06/2021 19:06

Sorry to butt in midway but that's so interesting about the evening promise oil! Just bought some 🥰 @Lebe14

Lebe14 · 11/06/2021 19:30

@xoJellyBean oooo let me know how you get on. Think mines going to arrive on Tuesday so will start taking then (today will be final day of AF) and will let you know how it goes! Worth a shot for cycle #9 x

taytay2020 · 11/06/2021 19:38

@justwant2beamum how is your tww going?

xoJellyBean · 11/06/2021 20:37

@Lebe14 im cd11 so will try it for next cycle 🤩 I've lost count of which cycle im on 🙈 do you use OPKs? X

Lebe14 · 11/06/2021 21:51

@xoJellyBean normally use clear blue OPKs but gave them a miss last month as I was away and needed a break. Will be back on them this month though. Also use the clue app. My cycles are quite regular. What about you? X

justwant2beamum · 11/06/2021 22:24

hello nothing really to report here, 6dpo, don't feel any different and no rhr rise so guessing it will be onto the next cycle again...

xoJellyBean · 12/06/2021 15:14

@Lebe14 what do you think of the clear blue ones? I was using the Femometer ones :) taking a break this month, not doing temp either so will have nooo idea when I ov! X

Lebe14 · 12/06/2021 19:36

@xoJellyBean I find the digital clear blue ones really good and so easy to use. I've not used any others though (apart from some cheap sticks one month), so can't really compare. Definitely much easier to use than the cheap sticks though x

Lebe14 · 12/06/2021 19:37

@xoJellyBean I didn't OPK last month but still had my app (I use clue), so along with that and EWCM I had a good guess at when ovulation was. But I am pretty regular. Let me know if you come across anything else that might help! X

Lebe14 · 12/06/2021 19:38

@justwant2beamum you're not out until AF turns up. 6DPO is still early and unlikely to have any symptoms. So don't get downhearted, could still be your month. Fingers crossed for you x

xoJellyBean · 12/06/2021 20:48

@Lebe14 I use clue too! And also Femometer :) do you temp as well? I saw someone mention pineapple core?! Have you heard of that 🙈 x

Lebe14 · 13/06/2021 07:57

@xoJellyBean not heard about pineapple! Maybe I need to try that too haha! I've got the femometer and the app too, however I don't tend to wake up at the same time each morning, so I don't think it's fully accurate. I'm going to give it another go this month and see if I can get on with it. The month I did it, it did show an increase after ov and a drop before AF, but then there were a few anomalies from taking my temp at different times.... do you get on with it well? X

taytay2020 · 15/06/2021 10:05

@Lebe14 @xojellybean I'd heard about pineapple too, but I hate pineapple so instead I've been buying pineapple juice, mixing it 50/50 with coconut milk (dunn's river from tesco is nice and runny) and drinking virgin pina coladas! Maybe it won't help but I'm enjoying it!

@justwant2beamum fingers crossed for you

justwant2beamum · 15/06/2021 20:52

I believe it's pineapple core people on here preach about but I personally think it's an old wives tale/a load of crap. There used to be an old wives tale that pineapple could cause miscarriage cause of the bromeline. They said it could cause contractions in the uterus. Now people say it supports implantation. If you google "does pineapple help you get pregnant" you'll find things saying "yes" and equally if you google "can pineapple cause miscarriage" you'll also find things saying yes. I don't do any of the pomegranate, pineapple core, seeds etc. But then maybe that's why I'm not pregnant 🤷‍♀️

Lebe14 · 15/06/2021 21:08

@justwant2beamum it's so difficult to decipher what May or May not help, isn't it? So much conflicting advice. However if it's not going to harm then defo worth a go. How are you feeling? Are you around 10 DPO now?

I've restarted OPKs this month. Had my first two O's today and yesterday. If my cycle is like normal I should ovulate a week today. Only managed to take two evening primrose oil supplements since getting them on Sunday 🤦🏼‍♀️ will try to remember to take them from now on. The bottle says to take 3 a day!!! Im just taking one a day to start with and then might move to two next cycle. Think my body will be very confused if I suddenly start taking 3 a day! 😂

How's everyone else getting on? X

Lebe14 · 15/06/2021 21:10

@taytay2020 love the idea of non alcoholic pina coladas to get your pineapple intake - great idea. As you said, even if it doesn't work, you've enjoyed drinking it!! X

taytay2020 · 18/06/2021 10:47

How's everyone doing? I'm cd10 today so I need to start opks but I keep forgetting 😂 I'm definitely feeling more chilled out these days, now that I know roughly what to expect in my cycle. Just need to keep BDing and hope for the best!

Lebe14 · 18/06/2021 17:41

Hey. I'm CD11 today and feeling quite chilled too this month.... will be a different story in the 2WW 😂 I'm back on OPKs this month. Should expect a flashing smiley soon and ovulation around Tuesday-ish if the Pfizer vaccine hasn't affected anything x

Lebe14 · 20/06/2021 17:59

Me again! Got a flashing smiley yesterday (CD12) and this morning (CD13) on clear blue OPK. As soon as I get a flashing smiley I test am and pm to not miss the peak. Tested this afternoon and got the static smiley - so should ovulate within the next 24/48 hours!

Me and OH BD'd CD11 and CD12. Think we'll give today a miss but BD tomorrow, which will be closer to ovulation. Do you reckon that's enough to give my pesky eggs as good of a chance as possible?

I felt really chilled about this month until I realised that being on cycle 9, my life would have been very different if we were one of the lucky ones and got a BFP in cycle 1..... xx

xoJellybean · 20/06/2021 18:37

@Lebe14 yes I think you're well covered!! Hope this is your lucky cycle 🤞🏻✨ my period came today... CD20! I have no idea what's going on 😭

Lebe14 · 20/06/2021 18:42

Thanks @xoJellybean I really hope so! Sorry to hear that AF arrived... how long are your cycles normally? X

xoJellybean · 20/06/2021 19:12

@Lebe14 sending positive vibes 😊 ummm 31-34 so I didn't even get to ovulate this month😱 lol

Lebe14 · 20/06/2021 19:21

@xoJellybean that's so strange.... sorry that you didn't get a chance this month 😔 Did you have a covid vaccine? They've been doing funny things to some peoples cycles x
