LoveAngelGabriel my AF arrived 5 weeks after D&C and was normal and second AF was 6 weeks after and was extremeley heavy.

Before Mc i had 28 day cycles and i am finding it so stressful not knowing how long this cycle will be! I am CD 15 and lots of EW mucas (TMI) but no sign of ovulating - poor DH will be exshausted by the end of the month

Hello everyone - how are you doing cricri?

Good luck for scans tomorrow Lissie and TJuice.

Lcy · 20/11/2007 21:16

Excuse the spelling mistakes - i have had a long day

OracleInaCoracle · 20/11/2007 22:13

omg, im really dreading tomorrow... im so scared! what if its another ep and i lose my other tube?

sweetkitty · 20/11/2007 22:20

hi to whoever asked start of mc was around 11th August, AF 7th September so less than a month later which me also bled for 12 odd days after the 11th too but it is so different for everyone, some on here are 40 odd days post mc and no sign of AF

Tjuice - Listeria/soft cheese/pregnancy issues, Listeria is present everywhere especially in the soil and on animals, if you take unpasteurised milk and make it into soft cheese it is a very high Listeria risk. If it is pasteurised it will kill off the Listeria but it can become recontaminated very quickly again and because of the nature and short life of soft cheese will grow like wild fire. Hard cheese like cheddar and parmesan is fine even if unpasteurised as it is matured for over 12 months and any Listeria if present will be killed off as it cannot survive the conditions in the cheese. The cheese manufacturers have known about this risk for ages and control and test their cheese extensively, yes there is a risk but it's a small one. I used to test loads of food for Listeria and you were more likely to find it on salads and fruit than cheese. Grilling or cooking the cheese kills the Listeria you are correct.

It is recommended that pregnant women avoid all soft cheese especially the mouldy ones like Brie, now you ask me if I eat soft cheese when pregnant and the answer is yes but thats my decision and I wouldn't say to anyone else to go ahead and eat it IYSWIM.

As for Salami and Parma Ham, don't know why these are banned in pregnancy, yes they are uncooked but they are heavily salted and the drying process takes months, I've seen the tests Listeria dies out in these as well. Sorry to those who are still awake after the science lesson, only time I talk "shop" these days is on MN I'll get back to talking about nappies.

sweetkitty · 20/11/2007 22:21

oh lissie another ep would be very rare and bad luck, I'm sending you a 4 leaf clover, a rabbits foot a horseshoe and every other good luck charm I can find, try to get some sleep tonight and we will all be in that scanning room with you tomorrow xxx

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 20/11/2007 22:40

I m/c on 20 Aug and conceived 2 weeks later with no AF in between. Dates were confirmed at my nuchal scan today - and baby looking good! Despite the positive pregnancy tests, morning sickness & other symptoms, I haven't really allowed myself to feel pregnant. But it's all rather official now that I've actually seen the baby and I feel happy & confident.

Lissie - very best of luck for tomorrow. XX

Hi, it was 6 weeks for me before I got af after mc and cycles went straight back to normal although 1st AF was very heavy. Fell pg again after 2 cycles have just mc again, so now starting the cycle again

Thats excellent news Duchess - I hope you do manage to enjoy your pg now. But I truly feel that mc can rob us of our abilities to enjoy pg again, which is really sad.

Good luck to those having scans, everything crossed for you x

alittlebitshy · 21/11/2007 09:18

Lissie - i've got everything crossed for you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweetkitty - loved the science bit!!!

well, re the live testing. I did the test this morning... so not exactly live (time delay maybe? ) but i couldn't hold my first wee long enough to turn pc on load up Mn etc etc lol. I used a boots digital test and it came up with a + .
and it came in the first min or so - not taking the full 3 mins or whatever it said it might take.

So i guess I am pg, but i still don't want any congrats - not til i get past 6 weeks (m/c at 5+2 and 5+5 this year).. I'm prob only 3 weeks (though god knows how i've showed up on a test cos i never do early) but in the back of my mind i've still got the niggles i had after my af last time..... Am sure i'm just being stupid and hopeful etc etc, but I just don't get how I can get a bfp on cd24 when my cycle is anything from 30-34 days.......

oops

sweetkitty · 21/11/2007 09:32

ALBS - I've had a positive on CD24 before and I ovulate CD15 so thats 9 days later. You could have ovulated early this cycle. I know what you mean not wanting congratulations it's like others have said you don't actually allow yourself to be pregnant. Roll on 6 weeks for you then, I feel every day that goes by with no bleeding is a bonus.

DuchessofNorks - thats great news about your scan, now sit back and start enjoying your pregnancy.

lissie - thinking of you as ever xxx

alittlebitshy · 21/11/2007 09:38

still thinking of lissie!!
anyone know what time her scan is?

TwilightSurfer · 21/11/2007 09:38

Alittlebitshy I bet you're 8 weeks. It seems you have such a strong sense about your body and how quickly it produces the +hormone. I'd go with that feeling and see how quickly you can be seen. Otherwise you might be holding TWO beans . I'll save the congrats as you've requested but I'm going to do a little woo hoo cheer quietly here at my keyboard.

Interesting news ALBS (Is that toned down enough - really I want to say 'woooohooooo' but understand totally I must not). Try and stay calm ().

Lissie - thinking of you today...

Wheelybug · 21/11/2007 10:14

HI Jules - x-post. Glad to hear things are still ok in the Jules camp too (suitably toned down too...)

OracleInaCoracle · 21/11/2007 10:33
Sad
Wheelybug · 21/11/2007 10:34

Have been for scan lissie ?

OracleInaCoracle · 21/11/2007 10:35

bad news im afraid another complete mc. nurse saw a black spot in my womb and my heart was in my throat but it was a blood vessel. mw was lovely (remembered me from my ep) and took blood to be on the safe side, but its looking very bad. emdometrial layer measured 6.

estimated date of mc was sunday

Wheelybug · 21/11/2007 10:37

oh arse Lissie.

Was it not too early to see something though or does the black spot mean a m/c ? Also, what does the 6 mean ? Sorry for questions but just want to understand.

OracleInaCoracle · 21/11/2007 10:40

it was possibly too early. endometrial layer was ok, not massively thin (oxymoron alert) but black dot was only a blood vessel

Wheelybug · 21/11/2007 10:46

Massive hugs Lissie - wish I could do more. GO and hug your ds really really tightly.

alittlebitshy · 21/11/2007 10:56

are they doing another scan to confirm that the blackl spot was just a vessel???

so many hugs lissie.

< and here's a huge cup of tea and a pack of choccie hobnobs>

becklebigbump · 21/11/2007 11:16

Lissie, was so hoping for better news for you today
