Starlight - I believe that if you are only feeding twice a day it's not suppressing ovulation, apparently you need to leave no more than 4 hours between feeds once you go over 4 hours it triggers ovulation. With DD1 I got my periods back 4 weeks after lochia stopped despite her being fully BF, conceived DD2 when DD1 was 9 months and still on about 4-5 BFs a day. With DD2 periods came back at 11 months. If you got pregnant once it means you are fertile again.

jules - stop describing all that lovely food we just have to keep going every day is a bonus right now

lissie - still thinking of you I hope beyond hope theres a little bean still in there but if not I really bloody hope they sort it out before you next get pregnant. If they know you have GBS in your uterus why can't they give you super strength antibiotics to knock it out prior to conception then keep going with antibiotics and the progesterone? It truly beggars belief. As you said it's only amoxicillin not some £3000 a course wonder drug.

I'm the opposite I feel sick and have no appetite but raided the sin bin sweet tub tonight that has all the e-number addled rubbish the DDs got for Halloween and they are not allowed to eat. Fizzy chews things are great for taking the horrid taste in my mouth away. Was the same with the DDs loved Starburst Sours, hardly healthy though.

grinningbee · 19/11/2007 22:44

Starlight sorry the doc wasn't more helpful. I'm still in the same boat (and singing "where is AF!". Day 41 not that I'm counting

This was my first pg so I wonder what your doc would say to that?

Good stuff lissie - you could try finding out if any hospitals are doing research into it and write to them maybe they would want you as a guinea pig or something - sorry don't know anything about this sort of thing but I just cannot believe there is nothing that can be done, am so I hope you give your doctor hell.

Wheelybug · 19/11/2007 22:49

Lissie - good luck with appt - still thinking of you !

For those with missing AFs - My AF after m/c was a good 6 weeks.... Twas a long time ago now but IIRC it was 6 weeks ish which I remember reading at the time was perfectly normal. It did then return to its pre-AF cycle (somewhere randomly between about 29 and 34 days !). HTH.
