Jules - saw that article before must say I'm back in Classic mode

OracleInaCoracle · 12/11/2007 09:26

sweetkitty · 12/11/2007 09:29

Here's hoping you will be joining me on the antenatal thread soon. I am going for a scan at 8 weeks leaving it that long so they will be able to see a heartbeat hopefully.

aquababe · 12/11/2007 09:32

That link was very funny

on cd13 so lots of sex at the moment (I would like a girl)

GB sorry about the bfn
Jules I'm really sorry about you and your sister
ilts sorry about you neighbours husband stuff like that can really hit you. any news on bleeding
cheekster I was told you can get quite sharp pains on the side you ovulated from if that helps.

wow life seems to have gone rather crazy for many people on here this last week.

I deleted some cookies on my computer and it hasn't been quite right since. oops!

grinningbee · 12/11/2007 10:32

Morning everyone!

I am cross I missed the Ben & Jerry party the other night. I have a few favourites cookie dough, mudslide and one I can't remember the name of. I had it in Florida, and it had little fudge cows in it. Yummy!

Good luck to those who think they may be pg!

I am not going to wee on sticks for a few days. Not after the bfn on the digital one. Still no AF here, and it bothers me a bit.

I'd like to ask you all how long it took for your first AF after mc'ing. I also have another question if I may - when do you count your mc from? Is it from when you first started bleeding, or when you passed it iykwim?

Yesterdays craft fair was a disaster. I had been making candles through the week to make plenty. We drove 60 miles to Bakewell, set up in a hall..... it was open for six and a half hours and cost £15 to have a table there.

How much money did Bee take?? £5.99 !!!!! After a few hours DH started making sarcastic comments rather too loudly! Bless him, he was bored. Mind you, I did nearly clobber him. During the minute silence for rememberance Sunday he almost made me laugh. He found a sticker from somewhere that read "warning this item is not leakproof" and stuck it to his crotch... I had to bite my lip so hard but my jiggling shoulders gave me away. Innapropriate, but funny. (Sorry if anyone is offended).

Blimey, sorry for rambling on.

I have no cakes to pass around, but I do have dairy milk if anyone would like to help themselves.

hi GB, my af's post mc have all been very different. different lengths, amount, time after. a mc is traumatic and it does take your body a while to recoevr hth

mcchesers · 12/11/2007 12:12

Hello, just popping in to say morning..oops afternoon. Hope you ladies are all doing well.

GB - My first AF post mc was pretty grim I have to say and it took an age to appear, like 33 days I think. Your DH sounds like a funny guy.

Jules - Thinking of you..

Cheekster - Hang in there there's a bunch of us freaked out about being pg. I've still got pains..in fact the symptoms seems to be sneaking up on me, only today have my (.)s started feeling sore and only a little.

ilts - How are you doing?

lissie - got everything crossed for you!

Big wave to everyone else!! Going to get a bite to eat and some jeans that fit my bloated fluffy tummy.

OracleInaCoracle · 12/11/2007 12:13

dont forget this ladies!

hi mcchasers. knowing my luck it'll be a tummy bug!

sweetkitty · 12/11/2007 15:19

GB - I count the first day of the mc as the first day of very heavy bleeding with clots, that was 11th August, had about 12-14 days of bleeding and my AF was 7th September so less than 4 weeks later
Had one more AF after that then a BFP but as lissie says everyone on thsi thread has been so different.

mcchesers - hello and good to see you x

lissie - hope it's more than a tummy bug

alittlebitshy · 12/11/2007 17:21

Hi ladies.
How did the cakefest go on friday???
lissie yay you're back! And it's sounding hopeful for you
we were away over the weekend on a families' pilgrimage which was really good fun, although I had a melt down when we got back. Everything has been getting to me and I had a mega tantrum at dh
Been shopping today for an outfit for a wedding in 3 weeks. That was fun!!!!!!
cd16 here.

goingfor3 · 12/11/2007 19:10

grinningbee my first period after mc took 35 days to appear when my cycle is usually between 23 and 26 days. I was getting very faint lines for a few days before my period started even though I had tested negative a couple of weeks before hand, I guess my hormnes were just all over the place.

TJuice · 12/11/2007 19:14

hi ladies

just wanted to pop in and say hi. i have been lurking but been so sicky that i coudn't muster the energy to write anything this weekend.
also been worrying about silly things (took ginger root for sickness then googled it and there is such a thing as too much ginger, cue panic attacks etc etc).

anyway, good luck lissi and cheeky and anyone else coming up to a BFP. my fingers, toes and eyes are crossed for you!

on the cake front - my dp made amazing brownies (ok, he went to the american store here and bought Betty Crocker mix) but it was so good. It had mini hershey kisses instead of chocolate chips, then he added some chunked up white chocolate too. despite my constant boaking - i managed to eat some and thought of you

jules, so sorry about your sister. its just heartbreaking . . .i hope you are doing okay?

hi to everyone else.
xx

grinningbee · 12/11/2007 19:18

Thanks for the replies.

I've worked out that if I go by when the clots etc started it's about 33/34 days since the mc so far. (.)(.) are still really sore but I'm sure AF will be here soon.

It just seems like it's taking ages! Grrrr.

Hi everyone - thanks a lot Tjuice , Aqua and Mcchesers for your kind words. Well Im still hanging on anyway - did another test today cbd (I know I must stop) - bfp much quicker than on sat - so thats a good sign I hope.

Can I trust cbd though - my doctor said when I mc last time that cb are far too sensitive and I shouldnt test until way after my af is due??????????????????

My dh takes anything a doctor says as gospel and says I shouldnt use cb again.

But I have had 2 bfp with cbd and 2 bfp (well faint lines but not too faint) with ebay cheapies.

Any thoughts???????????

TJuice · 12/11/2007 19:57

your pregnant!

Cheekster · 12/11/2007 20:03

I sound so dumb - dont I!

Thanks Tjuice - I wish I could just accept that and expect everything to go fine like most 'ordinary women.'

After the last few months I just expect things to go wrong. I must be more positive!

no, you don't sound dumb. i have all four of my tests in my bedside table. (is that gross?).

but they do say that its not likely to get false positives - right? and you tested negative since your mc . . .

you could always get a test at the doc's (the receptionist at mine does them so you don't even need an appt).

congratulations! its fabulous news

xx

Cheekster · 12/11/2007 20:15

Thanks jules.

Yes I got a bfn last month - mc in sept. So you think I can start to get excited then Im cd 30 - normally 27cd to the hour!

If only these pains would go - Id feel much better.

teeheelaydee · 12/11/2007 21:06

Tjuice - no not gross - I was looking for some scissors yesterday and found my CBD from when I was pg in my bedside table so it must be the place to keep them.

Mind you I did think - "Eww - I pee'd on that.

sweetkitty · 12/11/2007 21:07

cheekster - yes I agree you are pregnant well done and congratulations have you been over to the Due in July thread yet (can't remember) theres a few of us going through the same thing being pregnant after mc

Told another friend today and she was asking me if I had thought of names which is nice but I cannot get past the 8 week scan then 12 weeks and maybe even 20 weeks then I will start to relax and plan for the babies imminent arrival IYSWIM

teeheelaydee · 12/11/2007 21:09

Cheekster - haven't read all the thread but I think you are saying you have had 2 BFP and you are 3 days late. Sounds like you are pregnant to me ! Fingers crossed.
