Anyone TTC #2?

mamaatthegym · 26/11/2020 22:29

Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns Wink

Anyone else?

@timeforanother1 We were incredibly lucky and it was our first month of trying. Sending so much positivity to anyone waiting for their BFP x

mamaatthegym · 03/12/2020 16:39

@Mybobowler I’m taking boots own brand folic acid and evening primrose oil. I literally just went on a hunt for my CoQ10 tablets but can’t find them...I used these during the month the last time I conceived so I feel like I need them this time even though it was potentially just fluke. If I can’t find them I’m going to order some more!

@babblingbrook I was taking the seven seas conception last time I conceived too! Was on pregnacare for a year then got pregnant first month on seven seas. Again probably a total fluke but it’s enough for me to get some more lol!

I have also started temping but only about 10 days into but think u can see the dip and the rise so fingers crossed it stays elevated. R u?

MASSIVE CONGRATS @Laura1609 & @MrsXx4 so happy for u!! Hoping I join the club soon 🤞🏼keeping it quiet until Xmas will be really hard but what a lovely gift!!! You'll both have to pour ur own drinks n make them really weak lol. Let us know how u get on with ur digital!!

Welcome @Mybobowler good luck with ur TTC journey and like @mamaatthegym said it's looking like this is a lucky thread!! 🍀 I am going to use conceive plus next month I think. Then I'm running out of ideas of things to do to help lol!!

Thinkingahead8 · 04/12/2020 06:50

@miami2 yes, time does feel like it has stopped! 6dpo now and trying distraction techniques to ward away from ridiculous symptom spotting!!

babblingbrooks · 04/12/2020 08:57

I'm now 11dpo - not very hopeful for this month!

Mybobowler · 04/12/2020 09:03

Ooh I'm definitely going to get some Seven Seas, if I can borrow your good luck?!

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting to test. I'm excited to join you next month! Now we're finally able to TTC I'm suddenly overthinking every little thing - I just want to get on with it now!

mamaatthegym · 04/12/2020 18:05

I went to find all my conceive plus today (I stocked up on a lot beforeGrin) and it’s all past it’s expiry dateHmm so looking like I’ll have to buy some more. I forgot how expensive it is!

DD is currently in her high chair and has started sticking her fingers down her throat and gagging. Someone remind me why I’m doing this again Grin

Nobeautysleep · 04/12/2020 18:56

Haha @mamaatthegym I felt very similar today when cleaning up after DC’s lunch. All over the floor.

Liquoriceallsort87 · 04/12/2020 18:58

TTC #2 here too, just starting the 5th month of trying. DS is 4 in January. We always thought we wanted another but were waiting to get our wedding out of the way that was meant to be May, which of course was cancelled! So it’s annoying we waited for something that didn’t happen. Now I’ve done with worrying about the wedding and if it will or won’t happen as it’s been cancelled twice and just getting on with TTC #2.

timeforanother1 · 04/12/2020 22:20

@Laura1609 @MrsXx4 that's great for us all to hear one of you was first try and the other 8-9 months down the line, gives us all some hope

I'm also 6 dpo today @Thinkingahead8 and symptom spotting- why do we do it to ourselves? I'm now finding the last few days I've got a fair amount (tmi) of discharge which doesn't usually happen so I'm thinking that's a sign but I actually think I ovulated later than expected on the calendar as some symptoms of ovulation came about 2/ 3 days late.
Fingers crossed eh?

Thinkingahead8 · 05/12/2020 08:04

@timeforanother1 🤞🏼 I’m feeling really bloated and achy this morning. I am also waiting on Covid test results for myself and DS. Both have positive cases in work and nursery but hoping our symptoms are just a cold!

mamaatthegym · 06/12/2020 12:31

@Thinkingahead8 fingers crossed it’s just a cold! I’ve had a few colds over the last 3 or 4 months or so and it doesn’t throw you off! I got a test the last time I got really ill and it was negative. DD has also just got a sniffly nose so she’s really grouchy!

@timeforanother1 hope those are all positive signs for you!

Anyone testing soon?

How are you getting on @MrsXx4 @Laura1609

mamaatthegym · 06/12/2020 12:32

@Thinkingahead8 I meant does throw you off!

babblingbrooks · 06/12/2020 13:50

My periods due tomorrow, so could test but think I'll just wait for period to show up this month Smile

MrsXx4 · 06/12/2020 13:51

Haha @mamaatthegym I’ve had a few moments where I’ve looked at what my DS is doing and thought ‘why am I doing this again!?’ Lol! He is turning 2 just before Christmas so I feel I’m going to have my work cut out for me during this pregnancy and it’s not going to be like last time!

Oh I really have my fingers crossed that the symptoms you are experiencing are positive ones! Fingers crossed for you all! You can’t help but look into every little thing!

I thought I might be pregnant this time around as I had some strange pulling sensations low down in my stomach and also had really dull back ache constantly. My boobs were also so so painful (although I do get that when due on as well).

My digital tests still haven’t arrived so I did another frer this morning as I just didn’t feel pregnant anymore and started wondering if I was imagining things! It’s stupid that you can’t just relax even when you get the result you’ve been waiting for!

I still haven’t told DH. I feel like I’ve made it into a really big thing in my head now as well! Lol!

Laura1609 · 06/12/2020 15:58

@mamaatthegym I’m good thank you. Still feeling pretty normal so far so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for another straightforward pregnancy.
In the process of moving house before Christmas which is causing me a lot of stress naturally but DH is trying to keep as much away from me as possible.
I think this pregnancy will go even faster than my 1st as I just don’t have the time to be paying a great deal of attention to things, I can’t see myself checking my app every week to see what fruit or vegetable baby is compared to 😂😂 No time for that!

mamaatthegym · 06/12/2020 16:58

Welcome @Liquoriceallsort87 sorry to hear about your wedding, what a bummer! I bet it’ll be worth the wait though Smile I’m sure TTC will keep your mind off it lol!

OP posts:
Thinkingahead8 · 07/12/2020 07:06

@mamaatthegym just a cold here thankfully!

I’ve got some light spotting this morning. 8dpo. I do often get random spotting a few days before AF so not getting hopes up for this month!

timeforanother1 · 07/12/2020 21:03

@Thinkingahead8 glad you're not positive!

@Laura1609 have you told your oh?

@MrsXx4 have you planned how to tell him? Can you hang on til Christmas Day? That would be amazing!

@babblingbrooks have you tested?

Laura1609 · 07/12/2020 21:35

@timeforanother1 Oh yeah! I woke him up by showing him the test 😂

timeforanother1 · 07/12/2020 22:35

@Laura1609 ha ha!
It's amazing, congratulations!

MrsXx4 · 08/12/2020 09:21

@timeforanother1 I still haven’t told him. At the moment I’m finding it easy to keep a secret as I feel fine and not nauseous or tired etc.

I have planned in my head for a scavenger hunt for Christmas morning with clues all around the house and the reveal being my little boy wearing a ‘big brother’ t shirt which I have ordered! But who knows if I’ll last that long!

How is everyone doing? @babblingbrooks are you going to do a test? Xx

Mybobowler · 08/12/2020 10:35

Aaah @MrsXx4 that's such a sweet idea! So impressed you're managing to keep it a secret, I'd have exploded by now. What a lovely surprise for him!

I've got an appointment with my GP this week to discuss a second pregnancy (had complications with first and DD was a bit early, so I want to feel prepared and ask some questions). It's starting to feel so real now! We agreed to start TTC after my next period (due on around 20th I think) but I'm around ovulation now and super broody, wishing we'd just got on with it this month!
