Anyone TTC #2?

Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns Wink

Anyone else?

Yes TTC no.2 here. DS is 2.5years old. O day is in 5 days time, so really hopeful this month. Been ttc now for a few months, but took a month out in Nov.

@Mybobowler I hope I do manage to keep it secret till Christmas Day. I only see him for about 2 hours a day so I don’t find it difficult. The weekends we do spend together but just 2 more to get through without saying anything!

I did ask him absolutely months ago if he wanted to be with me when I took a test or if he wanted me to just surprise him and tell him! I may be taking the surprising him to a new extreme though haha!

@MrsP1991 it might still be early to test. You aren’t out until AF shows! Fingers crossed for you!

@Tabbycat92 I really hope you get your Christmas positive!

@babblingbrooks mine too!
I wasn't due til Friday so my cycle put my ovulation date back loads and we only dtd once in that fertile window! No wonder I thought I didn't ovulate when the tracker suggested as it was comparing to the dates on the previous cycle.

Looks like I might need opk's then as my cycle length is really messed up.

So much for symptom spotting!

@MrsXx4 how lovely, you should hold off telling him and do that.

@Mybobowler I was the same this month! I knew I was ovulating and was really tempted to jump on OH Grin but kept to our agreement haha. AF is now looming, about a week away now, I feel like it’s flown by but I know as soon as I start TTC time will slow right down...

Hah glad it's not just me then @mamaatthegym - I'm about ten days off my AF and I'm wishing the time away. You're totally right though, time is going to grind to a halt once we actually start TTC.

I had a really good chat with DP about the realities of a second baby (we both found the first year with DD really hard, she was an appalling sleeper and generally is was quite highly strung!) but he's really up for it and totally on board, so I'm raring to go now.

Has anyone been changing diet or anything? I'm already on my second coffee of the day and wondering if maybe the time has come to cut down...

I got the ‘squintiest’ of lines this afternoon.

Spotting the other day (7dpo) continued to now (11dpo) so thought I was out and af had come a week or so early.

Too faint to show up on photos so starting to think I imagined it! I’ll have to try again in the morn.

Can I join in too please? I’m not ttc2 but number 3. I have a 5.5 year old and a 2 year old. I worried about coping first time round but it was actually fine save for the odd bad day! I am so excited and desperate for another baby Blush

@Thinkingahead8 that sounds exactly like how I got my BFP with my DD (days of spotting before AF was due, followed by a reeeal squinter). Fingers crossed for you!!!

Line is stronger this morning and definitely there!

However spotting also is still there and I think might be getting heavier. Keeping fingers crossed that it doesn’t but I’m becoming less and less hopeful.

Hey everyone. I have a DD who is almost 6. Was ttc for a year before getting a bfp earlier in the year, unfortunately ended in mmc. So the age gap, if I'm ever successful, is bigger than I'd of planned but now I just want a healthy sibling for her regardless of the gap! Not actively trying at present (my miscarriage has made me apprehensive to try too soon) but not preventing either. Good luck to everyone X

@Emilu89 I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Flowers what a tough year for you. Fingers crossed it wont be long for you now - good luck! And big age gaps can be great - there's eight years between my brothers (I'm the middle) and they're best mates!

Feeling a little better this morning.

Spotting hasn’t become heavier as anticipated but is still there and lines still getting darker. I don’t know what to think! DH keeps saying to ‘sit tight’ and I know he’s right but it’s hard!

(TMI..) spotting is brown and only upon wiping now so I’m starting to let myself believe it a bit more. Will just have to wait!

I think I'm in my fertile window so dtd every other day now. Giving it a bigger gap this time!

According to the app I'm due af 4/5 Jan so I think I'll be testing on New Year's Day lol.

And if af comes I'm going to order opk's.
