Anyone TTC #2?

Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

Anyone else?

It's definitely a squinty one! The spotting has started up again and I'm regretting testing so early after what happened in January. I'm only 9dpo! I've got a good stash of tests left so I'll just take one a day and see how we go. Fingers crossed this one's a keeper!

@mamaatthegym yes - used OPKs for the first time this month and I track temps too.
Temp dipped yesterday and has gone up again today so I'm keeping fingers crossed. Might have to test as I'm so bloody impatient but really don't want to see a BFN ...
@Mybobowler congratulations - it's definitely a BFP! Sounds like a good plan to test over a few days to keep you reassured xxxx

So I just caved and tested too and...

What on Earth! Is this a new pregnancy after my chemical last month?! Maybe I did O later and must have caught it, we only DTD twice

@DinkyGT I have no idea but, on CD19 and 20 I remember having slightly watery CM but nowhere near as much as usual. I’m thinking I possibly O’d on CD21 if that was the case as that’s when it stopped...which makes me 13dpo today roughly?!

@Nobeautysleep AF due on Tuesday so I'm going to contain my excitement until then. Thank god for this thread, I'm desperate to tell someone! (DP knows, obviously)

@Mybobowler I know and it looks like we might need a new thread soon as this ones filling up haha! Cautiously optimistic for us both! Trying to remember every BFP is different and no reason why this one won’t be sticky 🤞🏼

So I've been out and bought a test ... is it worth doing now or should I wait until morning? Thinking Hcg won't be as prominent if I do it now... BUT I NEED TO DO IT 😖 aagh

@mamaatthegym @Mybobowler ahhh this is so exciting! Fingers crossed for sticky beans!!! We will need a birth club as this thread has started picking up the BFP all of a sudden!

@DinkyGT ooo I really really hope it's positive! What test is it? When did you last go to the loo? The other day my positive on a frer at 10dpo was only after about 1hr-2hr hold.

Gah...should t have done it. BFN - no doubt about it. Now I feel rather deflated ... if AF doesn't arrive I'll test again in a few days 😔

It was a CB '6 days early' test - couldn't get hold of a FRER xx

😖😖 I'm sorry @DinkyGT. I know this probably won't help but it is very early days AND not FMU/not a massive hold so your defo not out yet. Try and give it a few more days and if no AF try again 😘😘

I'm not feeling too hopeful for my little line this evening. I've got really bad cramps this evening and spotting is getting worse. Why did I test so early?!

@DinkyGT I have been pregnant 5 times (including this one) and never had a BFP before 11/12dpo, if it is implantation spotting then it might take 48 hours or so to produce even the slightest bit of HCG so I agree with the others you’re not out yet!

@Mybobowler oh I’m sorry to hear...keep an eye on it definitely. Praying for a sticky one, put your feet up and don’t do too much.

@Mybobowler oh my lovely that doesn't sound nice at all...try to keep relaxed and comfortable! It could all still be ok so try not to feel too bad.

Thank you for being so kind - I'm ok - just kicking myself for testing early and also for convincing myself of a BFP for no apparent reason! This is a horrible waiting game xx

I think I'm the only person in the country (world?) not watching Line of Duty but I do have a chocolate pudding and Netflix binge lined up.

My toddler is pratting about still. Absolutely cursing the clock change. Sympathy to anyone still trying to convince their DC that it is, in fact, night time.

@DinkyGT Some cycles I tested since 7dpo...we just want to see that line so bad! I would have totally done the same. Do you have internet cheapies? I just got a brand new pack of 50 for £7 off Amazon, they’re just as good and I’ve never had an evap always had a line when pregnant even faint! I don’t feel so guilty testing every day with them lol!

@mamaatthegym ooh that's a good tip - thank you! I got 4 tests from Tesco earlier - one pack of three CB and another single cheapie one but I'll definitely invest in more from the internet if needs be! Xx

@Mybobowler I know it’s been my safe place when TTC! I was thinking earlier it’s funny that we’re all sharing this info with each other and in real life I don’t tell anyone and people would probably think I’m was borderline mad with the amount of tests etc I do. Your evening sounds lovely, once you’ve put toddler to bed!! Haha. DD is only 15 months so she doesn’t really understand what’s going on, but I have all that to come!

@dunkedbiscuit just realised how nuts I sound if you’ve never heard of “internet cheapies” the online TTC world gave them that name not me...or “ICs” for short it’s any cheap test bought from...you guessed it...the internet!! Hahaha x

🤞 for everyone with a positive test or in the waiting game let's nope they are all nice and sticky! I definitely think if your testing early needs to be FMU.

Sorry I've been a bit quiet on here, I was feeling pretty rubbish about everything yesterday but got a plan for the next cycle now, so feeling a bit better.
