Lots of threads about TTC baby #1 so looking for someone baby #2 support!

If so how old is your current DC and what made you realise it was the right time?

DD has just turned 1 and we are thinking about #2 very soon! DD took 14 months to conceive so I’m prepared for another long slog...although a bit panicky that it could happen sooner! Am also still shifting some baby weight that clung on nicely during both lockdowns

Anyone else?

I've just started spotting so I'm fairly certain I'm out too. This process is so draining

@Mybobowler I am exactly the same you! 8 DPO today and had mild, sort-of cramps yesterday and have been looking up ridiculous 'implantation' syntoms like having a stuffy nose and being constipated 😂

Spotting may not be the end though? Still a chance cycle buddy! Xx

@DinkyGT aaha I think I have googled "[insert vague physical sensation] implantation" for everything 😅 something to do eh?

I think the spotting is defo a bad sign for me. I've had it the last three cycles and every time I've convinced myself it was implantation. I'm just bringing myself back down to earth now. Going to console myself with cake and a proper (not bloody decaf) coffee in the park.

@Mybobowler I'm clutching at straws I think if I'm honest - temp dropped this morning as well as spotting so I may well join in a caffeinated beverage today!! Stay strong xx

I can’t imagine how I’ll be feeling if this goes on for a year - it’s only been 3 months so far for me and I’m already feeling quite negative about the whole thing. Obviously we were so lucky it happened quickly last time but I think this set me up for expecting the same again and then being disappointed! I’m now regretting not starting sooner.

I'm the same with baby number 1 we fell pregnant the first month so it's disheartening that's its taking this long tbh

@Jellybean023 @LoopeyK we were the same - DD was an unexpected baby and now I'm about to start the fifth cycle trying for number two. I know it's not a long time in the grand scheme of things, but we delayed starting in part to avoid a late summer baby and I could kick myself.

We'll get there! I just feel really naive and a bit silly for thinking it would happen as effortlessly as first time, and quite guilty for not realising how lucky we were then.

@DinkyGT keeping fingers crossed for you still, and enjoy the caffeine!

My hubby wanted to try last Yr and because of covid I delayed but started in April anyway.
Fingers crossed it will happen soon for us all

Sorry to those who have had AF

@May2311 I was reading through and going to reply saying absolutely yes a positive OPK can be a BFP (it has happened to me!) and then saw you got your BFP how lovely! Congratulations!

Ok so according to my app I was due AF yesterday and she hasn’t shown! However I do think I’m a couple of days later anyway. It has O down as CD18 but I think it was more like CD21. I think I have some spare ICs somewhere so might cave and test later but I’d rather see AF then a BFN so not sure

Sorry to those feeling disappointed. In my humble opinion TTC is shit.

@LoopeyK @Jellybean023 we were exactly the same, fell first cycle with DS so massively underestimated how emotionally gruelling it could be this time round. We’re only onto cycle 3 but it’s hard not to feel deflated.

@mamaatthegym agreed, it is shit!

Woke up this morning to the spotting having eased off and with an overwhelming urge to test. It's the squintiest of squinters but there's a second line! Aaaaaaah!!!

I am currently in implantation spotting/AF confusion hell ... never previously had AF arrive this early so I am quietly hopeful it's implantation but slightly nervous too...😖
9 DPO...very tempted to test....

@DinkyGT period at 9dpo does definitely sound unusual, did you track O this month? Sorry if you did and I’ve missed it in the thread haha. I would test but that’s just me...
