Morning everyone,

Trying for a baby for a year. Normal cycle 27-30 days now day 41, negative "not pregnant" result from a clear blue digital pregnancy test this morning.
Ugh...
Test again (could it be too early) or except it's a longer cycle? Longest I've had since I've tracked in 3 years.
Cramps for a week.
I'm 36 years old if that helps lol..

Thanks in advance x

What tests are you guys using?
I'm clutching at straws probably.
I've done a clear blue and clear and simple (really cheap)
Thought I might get a first response test. Anyone used that brand?

I’ve tried loads as I was testing since 8dpo, first response, clear blue, Lloyds pharmacy, clear & simple and Superdrug. They all gave me BFN!

If it’s BFN I wish AF would arrive!

Annannanna · 23/11/2020 13:06

I would try first response, I think they are supposed to be the best.

missnessa84 · 23/11/2020 13:29

@Annannanna I agree.. just hurry up AF if you must!! HmmConfused

I'll try a first response.
I can't believe I'm this late, it literally never happens. Was a good month for catching the fertile window too.. if you know what I mean Wink
If it's not a BFP and just a missed cycle that's so annoying.

Are you both the same amount of days late then? If im honest the only tests I've used is 3 pound shop ones and they were all negative when I tested with them. I dont think I had implanted at that point so im definitely waiting until my dpo14, then im taking my next test and I will definitely be getting a cb digital. Eeeek!! Fingers crossed to you both, maybe check another frer?

Sunnybeam · 23/11/2020 17:28

Anyone else's nipples starting to darken?

missnessa84 · 23/11/2020 19:05

No, but I've felt nauseous several times today.

OP posts:
Annannanna · 23/11/2020 19:28

No my breasts just seem to have got a bit bigger but are not sore or anything like that.
I’ve been feeling nauseous on and off for a few weeks!

Has anyone been tracking their BBT?

Sunnybeam · 23/11/2020 19:44

Sounds good to me if you've both been feeling nauseous, that definitely isn't connected to periods 😁 whats a bbt?

Sunnybeam · 23/11/2020 19:46

Ahhh I know what you mean now, no i haven't but my body temp definitely feels higher than normal, im usually freezing but I rarely get cold and wake up sweating.

missnessa84 · 23/11/2020 20:12

I'd started to track my BBT but was a bit hit and miss with it so can't really go by it.

My boobs are normal, not even the feeling like with PMT. Odd.
Got a first response from boots.

@missnessa84 can't wait to see your results!

Im not sure whether to do it tomorrow or Wednesday, I just feel like I dont need to wait much longer now as I dont feel anymore symptoms other than going the toilet and darker nips.

Oh and just a little exhausted but thats because I literally slept all morning so not been too bad with tiredness today.

If I test tomorrow I will update you all the results.

Thankyou, I definitely will! Keep feeling this weird spasm in my cervix tonight.

missnessa84 · 24/11/2020 09:22

Morning.
Spoke to doctor today as uti symptoms continue. Taking a sample in today. Appointment on Thursday.
Told her about the BFNs and she said keep testing. Apparently its not uncommon for women to get negative results over and over then wham one day a positive. Hope for us all...
Anyone else got news.

OP posts:
Annannanna · 24/11/2020 09:36

Oh that’s good, I was wondering how long I should leave it before speaking to my doctor.

I’ve held out from testing today, going to try to wait as long as I can now. Just feeling nauseous again today.

Any news @Sunnybeam?

Cjg14 · 24/11/2020 11:05

I've still not tested again as can't face the disappointment! On day 50 now and no sign of af coming!

@missnessa84 that sounds abit hopeful 🤞🏻 here's hoping it happens for all of us and we get our bfp soon

missnessa84 · 24/11/2020 11:14

Have any of you had long cycles like this before or missed for no reason?
I was wondering if it's just because of my age, however it's never happened before.

I know the feeling @Cjg14 I'm becoming so disappointed, I've been testing since day 27.. too early it doesn't help.

OP posts:
Sunnybeam · 24/11/2020 11:20

Hi, so I've taken 2 tests and they're still negative, I still have so many symptoms, at this point im so confused... im glad im not the only one going through this.

@missnessa84 glad your dr has reassured us that this is possible, will keep testing until AF turns up, I hope you get your results soon for the uti.

Cjg14 · 24/11/2020 11:21

@missnessa84 I had a longer cycle than usual once before before conceiving my son where I thought I was pregnant but it arrived after 35 days so not this long! My periods are irregular but the longest in the last 2 years has been 31. I spoke to a nurse the other day and she said that her periods changed and were more irregular as she was in her mid 30s so maybe it's more common than we think.

I'm the same, would rather af just shows up than the torment of 'not knowing' but can't face anymore tests with a bfn!

Sunnybeam · 24/11/2020 11:21

@cjg14 only tests when you feel ready, it can be so disappointing but there is always light at the end of the tunnel, you never know after all of this waiting we may end up with a bfp soon.

I hope it comes sooner rather than later, its hard waiting around in limbo.

missnessa84 · 24/11/2020 12:44

@Cjg14 yes could be less common than we realise, took my pee sample to the doctors for testing to see if zi have a uti results later today or by Thursday if they need to go to the lab.
I still keep wondering if a UTI would stop a period.
I feel so in limbo, any answer is better than this.
