Day 41 Negative Test.

Morning everyone,

Trying for a baby for a year. Normal cycle 27-30 days now day 41, negative "not pregnant" result from a clear blue digital pregnancy test this morning.
Ugh...
Test again (could it be too early) or except it's a longer cycle? Longest I've had since I've tracked in 3 years.
Cramps for a week.
I'm 36 years old if that helps lol..

@missnessa84 yeah its kind of hard to remember all the small details and how you felt last time, but thats because we don't expect to go through this.
Im hoping we get our bfp soon because its really hard not knowing.

@Mummy2219 have you taken a pg test yet?

@Cjg14 you have simular to whats going on with me, people have taken an ovulation test because they're too nervous to take a pg test. Although its worked for some and they turned out getting a bfp after a positive ov test its not proven that they work the same.

Maybe wait another week then test again, ive read on a threat that someone went to cd 65 and believe it or not she got that bfp in the end, saying now she has to try and explain it to the doctors so there is hope still for us Smile

Hi I hope you don't mind me joining, I'm currently on cd47 with no sign of af coming! I am having similar symptoms too and yet I've had negative tests 😔 I do have irregular periods but the longest cycle has been 31 days so this is unusual! I have done a ovulation test today and it's close to a positive so not sure what is going on! I would rather af just come so I can move on to next cycle!
Hey, don't mind at all. I think we can find comfort in knowing others are feeling the same. I totally agree. We have been trying for a while and the past months when I had a slightly longer cycle (36) days negative test, then AF it's disappointing but can get on to the next cycle. What's your advantage cycle?

Soz you said about your cycle. So we are all in the same boat. I've read so much about how it's normal to be late, or miss a period all together, also read lots about negative tests till 5,6,7,8 weeks.. so I guess it's just a waiting game.

So I taken a pregnancy test 5 days go positive
Then negative then today I think there is a slight line

I had positive ovulation 4 days before my period was due ?
Then positive ovulation again today

So I’m 5 days late or 10dpo I’m so confused

@missnessa84 yep I didnt think it could be possible but she literally was going onto her next months missing periods, her doctors turned her down then in the end finally got the results she wanted.

@Sunnybeam yes I've read that too and I only did an ovulation test today as they arrived and I have a lot of cm which tbh I've been having for a couple of weeks now and keep thinking af is here but no! Just makes it even more confusing as I wonder if I never ovulated last month and still trying to now. Last month I had high or positive ovulation tests for over a week which doesn't normally happen!

@missnessa84 we have been trying for a couple of years now too. We are blessed to have 2 children already but always thought we would have more naively thinking it would be straight forward. I am 35 and we have had fertility tests done which came back with me having a low amh but have never had a cycle this late before. Here's hoping we have the positive answers we all would like! (That or af just arrive so we can move on!)

@Mummy2219 the best thing you can do now is wait about 2 more days then test again and if its still saying negative or there is a faint line then I'd get check out by the gp.

Its so rare to have a fake positive like extremely rare so maybe it could be the tests, maybe the one you had positives with was more sensitive?

Definitely don't leave it even if it is negative though, because there could be all kinds of reasons why the tests are reading different results.

Could be hcg shot up and back down, different tests that have different sensitivity ect......

@Cjg14 like I said, I wouldn't give up just yet. I read someone waiting 12 weeks until she got her bfp. That still gives me hope and remember that its not over until you get your AF or bfp.

dont get your hopes up too high though because the last thing you want is to feel crushed when you already feel all kinds of emotions right now!

But do not give up until you have your results because that can also cause mixed emotions!!!

What helps me when ttc is thinking about how worth it the surprise will be. I'm sure we have to work the hardest for the things we want the most, maybe this is just to test our patience preparing us for another dc Smile

@missnessa84 @Mummy2219 @Cjg14 I also want to remind you all that stress can delay everything..

Eg. Ovulation, implantation and periods.... so if they're all being delayed then so is your period or bfp.

Another thing is that you dont have to have pg symptoms to be pg, this is what I have to keep telling myself although I do have symptoms myself not all but some, some dont have any at all and may get their positive.

Currently I can feel a slight headache coming back and some nausea, something I had last night Confused

Hi, I am another one in the same boat. My AF is 11 days late but still getting BFN. Usually really regular but possibly had a chemical pregnancy last month so I'm not sure if my cycle has been messed up.
Symptoms are currently nausea & weepiness!

I do, but like yourself keep talking myself out of it. However this long of a cycle is so unlike me.

Yeah I would definitely take a little break before testing again, thats what im doing.

I do feel pregnant but I only have my doubts because of the bfn ive been getting but then I keep thinking that maybe ive been testing too early and maybe ov late, that can happen.... let's hope we know soon, thats all we can so.

I also feel like I could be pregnant but unfortunately there have been other months where I've had certain symptoms and had hopes that I was for af to then turn up 😔

There is definitely something different this month for me, but I shall see when my AF or bfp comes.

I certainly will! Im going to test maybe Wednesday and if we haven't had AF by then, its got to be a bfp!!! 😁 fingers crossed!!

@Sunnybeam yes the main thing different is how much cm I have atm, that and I had quite abit of period like pains a couple of weeks ago so I thought af was on its way but now that's more or less gone with the odd pains every now and then.
