No AF and BFNs 🤷‍♀️

Hello! We are trying for our second child and I am frustrated. I am sure several of you can relate to being frustrated with this whole TTC thing. 😅 Anyways. AF was due 3 days ago and has not shown her ugly face yet. But I have also gotten nothing but negatives (and one invalid). I was planning on not testing again until AF is a week late. Anyone get their BFP that late or even later? I am irregular, so it could just be a late period? I just want to know if I really am pregnant or not, so I can move on! Thanks for any insight you all provide! 😊

@HJen22 very true! When I was 19 I fell preg with my first didn't know till 4 months! Had lots of neg tests however can't remeber when as so long ago abs was so young! Second at 25 knew at 5 weeks again didn't know all this ttc af opk haha just fell preg both times on pill!! Ten months after fell preg again on pill! Had term as wasn't right time! Had implant and guess what fell preg!!! This ended in miscarriage then had coil two years great then guess what?! Fell preg!!! Thai was at 30 when they removed it I mc then had could again (silly I know) haha but didn't want any hormones then me and dp decided ok after Xmas we will try had cool REM feb last af March bang was pregnant!! (Did use opk) baby is now 11 months now 7 months of trying (ok first 4 month we weren't actually tracking etc I just stopped pill!) and here I am feel like what's happening! I have been so overly fertile that now I think at 36 an I just too old or what's happening to me am I been told enough is enough and be happy with what I have (which I am very happy) we just wanted a baby so we have two close as my older two there's obviously a big gap! Which I love but due to wanting to cut hours at work etc o can't do until have had another mat leave at full pay!! Plus my age we were keen to have baby asap!! Think when you will it it doesn't happen lol

@lastbany that's what my BF keeps saying; that's it's too early and some people don't find out for ages. I just know a lot of people find our very early on!! I am sure it will happen for you, I know it's so easy to worry about every single thing though including age, I'm 32 and never been PG so I worry if I can even get! I hope that the Dr can give you some advice whether you already have children shouldn't matter. Totally understand it would be lovely to have two young ones close and the two older close! My BF had a daughter from a previous relationship who wasn't planned, so I sometimes think he thinks I'm insane with all this worry and planning!

Any news girls?? Me still no bloody af! Not tested saving for Monday lol (no idea why) haha think it's caus got doctor Tuesday so thinking can mention!

Nope still nothing for me either! I was up through the night with a sore stomach which I thought might be AF cramps but still no sign. Haha same, I've got a test but I might not even use it until next Friday if possible! Then that would be 2 weeks late!

@HJen22 so I've just gone toilet after my wipe the smallest tiny pink tinge discharge, however can't help but think means af on way!!

@lastbany may not come to anything! Do you normally have spotting beforehand? I still have the feeling that AF has came and then nothing. Not even had creamy cm the last few days like I had been having, just the constant wet feeling. Sorry tmi!

@HJen22 yep same!! Felt sure the other day was out shopping with baby littally ran to car nothing!! SO strange

@lastbany it's so strange isn't it! I've had this feeling before AF but not for this long! Guess we just need to keep ourselves busy! I wish I was more patient! I'm now more worrying about all the other things that could be wrong rather than if im pregnant!

But I am so annoyed feel like I would actually nearly ve ready to start trying again of would have had a normal cycle!!
I'm undecided if to order cheap opk so that I know when ovulating according to app it's moved from day 13 to day 21!!!! We did dtd day 22 but obv tht only time till 29!! So no wonder didn't conceive! Part of me thinks stuck to every other day three month and not track then other half thinks track so I know?! A just dunno what to do so annoyed and upset

@lastbany I also have been very wet. Really thought it was AF several times. @HJen22 sorry you got your AF and not BFP, but at least you know for sure! If you are willing to be on top of the tracking, I would do it. But if it starts stressing you out, I would stop.
Well. I was testing again this morning and first the box is pink, but is blue dye. Ugh. Second it said you can read it as early as 2 minutes, but do not read after 10. I misread the directions and checked at 2 minutes, didn't see anything yet so decided to check it around 10 minutes, which I thought the directions said to read them at that time. 🤦‍♀️ So, I think (and hope) was too late because I couldn't see a line. I am going to hold my urine and test again in a few hours. I have one of those tests still so I will use it and follow directions more carefully. I think while my son is napping I will run out and get a pink dye test and REALLY make sure its pink, since they are most reliable. And I guess test again with pink dye in the morning. Ugh. I hope those positives weren't false. Would be weird to have two different tests be false. But anything can happen I suppose. 🤷‍♀️

@ImpatientMama no sign of AF for me yet. But still very much in limbo, haven't tested since Friday!

Ah yeah test again will have just been the muddle up with timings I'm sure!!

I'm sorry @lastbany it's always so gutting and waiting even longer doesn't help it 😔 new month and another fresh opportunity 🤞🏻 I started off with OPKs and didn't find them too stressful so I'd recommend it for guidance. I find BBT a bit stressful and get a bit obsessive but I plan to do it next month and only look at it for ovulation confirmation and nothing else after that!

@HJen22 ye gonna buy opk think I'm ovulating different times! Each month annoying but supise have had a baby within 12 months body could still be adjusting! Not gonna temp like you say too much lol gonna try a month of dtd every other day lol

Sorry I swapped you all! I'm not very good at reading today apparently. Haha. I am getting worried that this is a chemical pregnancy based on what I have read online. But I guess I just need to wait and see what the next couple tests tell me. Hoping I just messed up this morning and it's all good still. Trying to remain positive.

@lastbany yeah I'd try OPKs, and you're right your body could still be adjusting. I find OPKs useful as it tended to be earlier than the apps predicted. Who knows what's happened this month, I didn't track OPKs and wish I had. And then with a normal cycle your ovulation day and fertile window will prob change and not be as late as you expect - which is just predicted after a longer month this month! That's what I'm thinking anyway, I'd be doubtful I'd ovulate when the app is predicting - given it keeps getting further away as the cycle goes on!

@ImpatientMama that's ok! Oh I really hope not, stay positive and test again, have you got another test?

Just tested again. Used the second blue dye test after not drinking or using the bathroom for 4 hours. Still negative. Ugh. Now I am second guessing on those positives. Were they evap lines? Could this be a chemical pregnancy? I will still go out and get pink dye tests to continue testing until I start bleeding or get a dark positive. I will for sure test tomorrow morning if there is no bleeding with a pink dye test. If positive, I will call the doctor. If negative I guess I will continue to wait and test? Or still call the doctor and figure out what is happening? Back to square one I guess. 😐

@ImpatientMama oh I'm sorry what a stress for you 😞 it could just be those tests aren't as sensitive, the two you did before looked positive, I don't know much about evap lines but the chances of getting two with that surely isn't much? I would continue to test! And maybe either way call the doctor and explain and get some advice? Google is great but it also really scares me with all the things we read and worry about could be going on! Things I didn't even know existed! I really just thought you got a late period, tested and got a positive. Oh how I wish it were that simple!

@HJen22 just went to the store and got First Response and also digital tests. I am so over buying tests! If I need more I am definitely going to Amazon and just getting the strips, so much cheaper! Going to test with the First Response, keep the urine, and test with digital if I see any sort of line to confirm it. 🤞 I think I will reach out to the doctor tomorrow either way.

@ImpatientMama everything crossed for you! This just isn't an easy ride is it!! Really hope you get the line and the digital too! I'm the same as you, I don't want to do a digital until I've had a BFP on a FRER or something! I've got a call scheduled with the doctor on Tuesday to discuss the bloods I had done back in august, so will be able to tell her then about my lack of AF if still not arrived. Got a feeling she'll just say test again later so the plan is if still no show do it next Friday!

@HJen22 I will only do the digital if I see any sort of second line. If I dont, i wont waste a digital on it. I have a feeling the doctor will want me to wait another week and keep testing. Which is so annoying. Haha. I would like to get a blood test done to check for pregnancy that way or at least an answer to where AF has been! Are you testing tomorrow? If so, good luck!

@ImpatientMama I don't think I can face testing again today, I've really got it into my head I can't possibly be pregnant if it's not come up on tests yet (last one was Friday) and I either didn't ovulate or my body is still trying to! I did another OPK yesterday and it came back high, I think I'll carry on and see if I get a peak. Always something else I can bring up with the doctor too! And if it hits peak some more BD 😂 everything crossed for your tests today!! Really hope that line is there and darker!!!!

Oh I really hope not 😔 how many DPO should you be today? Perhaps give the doctor a call. I don't know much about chemical pregnancy's, I just read up a bit there. Still you haven't had any sign of AF have you?

Sorry about tht at! @ImpatientMama tbh on the back of me I knew that even though there's still hope I know that I would have got a bfp if I was preg! So knew I wasn't deep down just no af gives you false hope I know ppl say they didn't get a bpf for weeks and weeks after af due but tbh in my experience tests are pretty accurate!
It's cruel I was gutted yesterday when I started af however know I'm ordering cheap opks and now it's on and up to next month!

@HJen22 I honestly dont track my ovulation. I feel like the strips would stress me out too much. I do keep a look out for egg white cm. It has been a while at this point since I saw it. I think husband and I need to be better about DTD. It has been pretty sporadic.

@lastbany I agree. It is those rare people that find out weeks later that were giving me hope.

I think I will call the doctor today and hopefully they can squeeze me in this week so I can really find out what is happening. Tried booking online but the earliest any doctor in the practice has is next week, so I am going to try calling and maybe with my situation they can fit me in sooner.

Same, I've lost all hope and feel like I'm clutching at straws just because AF hasn't arrived. Now I'm just getting annoyed that AF isn't here yet and feeling frustrated and emotional today! And I'm annoyed that it happened to be a month I didn't do OPKs so I've no idea what's going on!

@ImpatientMama yeah they can maybe give you a telephone appointment! I don't find the OPKs too stressful, they were quite helpful when I used them as the showed I was ovulating earlier than predicted. However, who even knows how accurate they have been! But I know they aren't for everyone, and plenty manage without!

@lastbany it's always so gutting the first day isn't it, I tend to be miserable all week but I'm really going to try my hardest not to be this time round. I hope you feel better today, and yeah another month another try!
