No AF and BFNs 🤷‍♀️

Hello! We are trying for our second child and I am frustrated. I am sure several of you can relate to being frustrated with this whole TTC thing. 😅 Anyways. AF was due 3 days ago and has not shown her ugly face yet. But I have also gotten nothing but negatives (and one invalid). I was planning on not testing again until AF is a week late. Anyone get their BFP that late or even later? I am irregular, so it could just be a late period? I just want to know if I really am pregnant or not, so I can move on! Thanks for any insight you all provide! 😊

@HT1335 thank you 😊 great that you're getting seen now and that there's hope! I am being referred to fertility now too and they will be looking for pcos, I ovulated this month but it's definitely not a regular occurrence

@Marvellouslymadmum oh that’s good they’ve been amazing with me if you want to ask any questions feel free I’ve had my scans and now I need a hycosy to check my tubes and then hopefully meds to help me ovulate so I should be on those in 2 weeks 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I’m so pleased I got a nice gp who referred me and I’m getting some help 😊 I hope you get some answers!
I have every single symptom of pcos it’s not very pleasant my pill must have been masking everything x

Brilliant that you're getting the help, thank you, the gp I initially got to do my blood tests turned out to be very unhelpful and when they came back ok this month she was just like well that's it you ovulated this month so no more tests and no help! So I made an appointment with a different one in the practice today and she was so nice, completely understood asked a few questions then said she would happily refer me and refer oh for an sa which the other doc didn't even want to do! So I just have to wait now, was it just the hfc and amh they did with you and did you have to wait long once you'd been referred? I know it's different in different areas but it may give me an idea. I think the pill may have been masking mine too, I don't have every symptom but definitely most x

@Marvellouslymadmum the go didn’t specify which bloods but the nurse said they had done very hormone etc possible then the go rang and said it looks like it not ovulating and have pcos so she referred my partner for sa, which is fine and me to the clinic. I got my fertility clinic app in 3 weeks and had ultrasound and trans vagunal scan confirming pcos plus he talked thru my partners sa. They took bloods for my eggs stores which are high 😅 and I have the scan to test for blockages in my tubes in 2 weeks.. hopefully no blockage so I can start on the clomid and metformin to help me ovulate. He said if that doesn’t work ivf refrrral, j really hope it doesn’t come down to that 🤞🏻
I’m so pleased you got a helpful gp today and I hope you get your clinic appt soon they really explain things and look at all of your options so I feel a lot better about it all now x

@HJen22 how are you getting on? We had very similar experience of ttc with our timings etc

@HT1335 oh wow three weeks isn't long at all, hopefully it won't be a huge wait here either! Great that you have a high egg reserve too - I did wonder if that fact that you're not ovulating means you have more eggs as they've not been used but I don't know if that's a weird conclusion to come to 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'm really looking forward to speaking so someone a bit more in the know, I know we won't be referred for ivf as I'm over the cut off age by a year and we both have children from previous relationships but none together. If it comes to it we would go private it'll just be great to know what's going on! Thank you for you help and keep us updated how you're getting on x

@HT1335 wow! Don't know if it's me or if tht seems to have gone pretty quick! So glad they have found all this out!! Well I'm 2 days late for AF but hey been there befor 😄😄

@Marvellouslymadmum oh hopefully when they do some scans etc it won’t come down to you having to pay private 🤞🏻 I think sometimes when you get further info from the clinic it helps you relax a little, even tho that’s sounds strange it’s helped me! Good luck!

@HT1335 well used a cheapy today and was bfn! 3 days late site would show by now so think I'm out just waiting haha if I take next try (looong doubtful now!) be due on my daughters 2nd bday x

I have been taking those maca supplements and I’ve had sore boobs and feel like I’m getting af which I would be so happy about! I’m Defs not pregnant as had to abstain from dtd for 4 weeks prior to this next scan I have
So it’s maybe worth people looking into those? I got mine in Holland and Barrett 😊

If it would hurry up at least I’d be able to think about trying next month but I just don’t know anymore

Hi all - ok to join? TTC #2 for 5 months (DC1 nearly 15months old) and have gone from short LP to now 6 days late and just BFN. This limbo is driving me mad!! Have been feeling nauseous, tired etc. but don’t feel like I did the first time. Just want AF to hurry up so I can move on to the next cycle!! Am 40 this year so feel like time is not on my side. How are you all doing?

Hi @FusianBabyMama welcome, it's so horrible being in limbo isn't it! I'll be 42 next week and we've been ttc for 3 years so I feel your pain! I would leave it a few days and test again and if still bfn then maybe contact your gp? Have you been taking any supplements or anything as they can lengthen your Lp

@FusianBabyMama oh it’s very frustrating isn’t it, all there is to do sometimes is to wait and we’re all not very good at doing that! I hope you get an answer either way soon

Thanks @marvellouslymadmum so sorry to hear that it’s been such a long journey for you 🤞🏻 You get some good news soon! Am going to test again this weekend and then maybe call the GP next week. Was taking b vitamins for a month or so but was giving me headaches and making me feel weird so just taking more vit c as heard it’s helpful. Given what’s going on with the this cycle I think I might need to give it a few months to see if things settle down. But who knows! Have your cycles been regular so far? It’s so difficult when it changes up and you are left not sure what is happening!

Hi @ht1335 it’s beyond frustrating! Haven’t wished for AF to show up in a looooong time but she needs to hurry up so I can stop thinking about it all day! How have things been for you?

@FusianBabyMama thank you, I'm on a whole concoction of supplements adding new each month lol mine are what I'd call regularish lol generally 25-33 days with the odd 21 day or 52 or 66 day! But I'm not always ovulating so getting everything checked.

@Marvellouslymadmum that’s good that you are getting it all checked out. Helps to get more info and rule stuff out where you can. I’m going to probably go down the same route (if I can) when I talk to the GP as pre DC1 I was super regular and around 25-26 days. After it’s been more like 24 but ovulating later so LP was 8 days if I was lucky and surges seemed low. Am pretty much positive (no pun intended!) that I didn’t ovulate this month as had two peaks that weren’t high and am now in limbo land!! Have you been taking the supplements for LP or for a bit of everything. Anything that has helped let me know!!
