Feeling very fed up with failing every month and wondered if there's anyone in the same boat? It's a lonely boat on a journey to nowhere at the moment, but if anyone else wants to join me, some company would be nice

Popsy....a little for you.
X

RAH...how frustrating...can't you and DH just get on with it anyway this month?
(Sorry if I've missed something...so much to remember over all the million of years I've been on here!!!!)

All went well today.
Both eggs had fertilised and gone onto divide...one more than the other but the embryologist said that both were good for implanting. HURRAH!!!

Now we wait.........................

kd73 · 11/02/2008 19:52

KD whispers quiet congratulations to Popsy... and good luck to coggy

DP asked when af was due ... no idea so we are taking bets anytime now. I am going to suggest 21/2/07 as this will be my first meeting having started new job on monday... sods law. Anyone else want to hesitate a guess????

Ready · 12/02/2008 18:54

Gilly, I totally understand the need to work in a smaller establishment. How did your meeting with HR go? I think what you have decided, about keeping your eyes peeled for something else, but not just anything, sounds most sensible option. And definitely talk to your boss about what she sees happening at the end of the contract. Best to be in possession of all the facts huh

Rattling, it?s funny isn?t it, how you say certain things, but when you are faced with them in reality, you feel differently to how you thought you would. I suspect I will be the same when faced with the prospect of IVF. I seriously think that is where our path is headed, and I need to stop being such a baby about it

Coggy, so very excited for you, the prospect that you could have twins cooking in your tum!! The 2ww is hellish enough ? but to know there are 2 fertilised eggs in there and still have to wait must be horrendous. Hope you are keeping busy ? ?ere fashion guru, tell me, can I get away with this? I'm fairly busty size 12 and I wonder if this look works on the well-endowed? Mine is black and white squares or if it will sit too far out on the chest. Iyswim??

Rah, I think that although it must be hard to wait, a month of total relaxation might just be the ticket for you. I often think how nice it would be, for just one month to not have to think about OPKs, temperature, CM, when to have sex, it would be bliss ? but of course we never do it willingly. It takes extenuating circumstances to force our hand ? fingers crossed that a cheeky non-ttc bonk did the trick

Congratulations Perkypopsy Try not to worry about not having a job ? just think of the relaxed pregnancy you are going to have. Not worrying about getting everything sorted once you go on maternity! Enjoy.

How?s it going in your new job Kd? All the best with that, hope CD1 doesn?t appear!

Herby, how you doing?

Everyone else? big waves and smiles

coggy · 12/02/2008 21:28

Oooh....no problem with that Ready. I reckon it would look fab.

If you're worried about it making you more 'stuck out' (?!) then make sure the knot/ cross over part is slightly higher up - that's where the bulk will be.

I am a pretty well-endowed size 12/14 and I would wear that no worries.

Go for it!

Only 13 days to go......

RahRah1 · 13/02/2008 17:29

HI all.....

Coggy - my fingers are soooooooooooooo crossed for you....

Hope everyone is well. Just a flying visit from me, hopefully will be back late Xx

Ready · 14/02/2008 17:09

Thanks for the tip on the knot Cogg, I think it looks pretty good if I do say so myself - how are you feeling? Fingers and toes crossed

Gilly, I meant to pop on yesterday to wish you good luck with the appt, but been super busy - hope that it went ok, and that you feel relaxed about it? Do tell us all about it when you get the time, big hugs

Hope everyone else is good?

herbaceous · 14/02/2008 17:33

Hello everybody!

Congratulations Jess! This is the one thread when I don't think a quiet 'grrrr' at a BFP. We're all such deserving causes! And positive vibes coming at your twin clusters Coggy.

As for me, had my day 21 prog test this morning, so we'll see. Have been feeling grim the last couple of days - like I've got a hangover. Though I haven't. Must be a bug, but naturally the mad TTC devil on the shoulder is saying it might be early symptoms. Bugger off TTC devil - I'm only 7dpo.

Have just had two slices of chocolate cake - well, it was someone's birthday in the office so was compulsory - and now feel even sicker. Can't put that down to early symptoms though!

jess1996 · 14/02/2008 18:23

Thanks everyone and congrats to Popsy too. I don't know what I did differently this month. I went back to temp'ing and actually got a beautiful triphasic chart, although 2nd rise occurred at 5dpo so actually unlikely to be due to implantation. I've got a nice strong bfp at 13dpo which I'm taking to be a good sign, but I've no symptoms which may be a bad sign.

Anyway, enough about me. How is everyone else doing? I'm afraid I've been avoiding MN due to feeling depressed. I'm sending positive thoughts to coggy though (and to everyone else of course). Someone will have to fill me in if I've missed anymore exciting news.

coggy · 14/02/2008 19:09

Excellent news Jess...well done!

Thanks Herby...I keep meandering between the thoughts.....twins how wonderful....to one would be better....back to the twin thing again.....

Well at least I'm positive.....not thinking about if it doesn't work!
I refuse to at this moment....got too far to go to start worrying I reckon.

Glad my knot advice was useful Ready. Anything I can help with I would be pleased to!!!!!

Feel knackered tonight but think it's all the valentine baking I did for DH today!
Only iced fairy cakes...but pretty impressive for me I'd say!

kd73 · 15/02/2008 07:18

Hoorah for babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is everyone feeling well? I do hope so!

I am still waiting for AF but as we used contraception most of the time and I have no symptons, assume she is just taking her time! In the meantime, start new role on Monday and very very nervous!

nomoremagnolia · 15/02/2008 07:54

RahRah1 · 15/02/2008 08:43

Congratulations Jess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UMMMMM Fairy Cakes.... any going around??? Coggy - heres too baking something else..

perkypopsy · 15/02/2008 09:49

Hey ladies - had a scan yesterday was 7 weeks [subdued yay from pops] - perfectly dated from CD1 - if was normal cycles for me should have been 4 weeks only. Told nurse had taken melatonin when travelled to san fran and she said has heard that can reset hormones so that may be why I was so lucky this time - so ladies if any of you had really long cycles - get some melatonin - can't hurt - might help

Gilly how was the appt? Are you booked in for tests?

Jess Hooray - finger, toes and eyes crossed for us both...

Ready · 15/02/2008 18:58

Coggy, thinking of you. Lots of positive vibes being sent your way!!! In exchange for these vibes, I think it is only fair you send some fairy cakes my way ? How do you feel? Are you going mental waiting yet? Hugs.

Nomore, pmsl at your ?conrats? ? what exactly are con-rats? Shifty rodents? I was just dragging my sorry behind out of bed at that time ? not too perky, dh couldn?t sleep and when he got up to get some treacle tart at 2am and to go watch tv, I inevitably woke up ? grr. How are you doing? Any news from the clinic yet?

Kd, all the very best for Monday, flower!! I am sure you will be brilliant!!

Herby, when do you get your results back from the prog test? Fingers crossed you get a nice high number Hope your rogue hangover feelings are pg symptoms!!

Gilly, hope you are ok, and not too busy. Thinking of you

Jess, a strong bfp on 13dpo has to be a good sign. Take it easy, and fingers crossed for you

PerkyPopsy, good news about the scan. Fingers crossed for you

Rattling, how are you doing flower? I keep meaning to ask about your kitten ? is he getting better?

Lottie, hope you are ok? I know that you are a little subdued about it all at the moment, but I hope things take a good turn for you soon ? fingers crossed dp?s next lot of tests come back with good news

I am 9dpo today, and had a bit of a dip in temp ? from the high that shocked me yesterday to the mediocre normality of my previous charts, today. Tut. I was hoping for a triphasic chart and a big fat positive this month ? not to be. Drat.

Sorry if I have forgotten anyone? gotta dash x

RahRah1 · 16/02/2008 10:15

HELLO READY.... you forgot me!!! , don't you love me any more?

Ready · 16/02/2008 11:36

Rah Oh my. I am sorry for forgetting you... and what with you being my favourite, and all - clearly I will have to make up for it now

Minnow1 · 17/02/2008 14:09

Hi guys, mind if I join you? We have been ttc #1 for 10 months now and feel we are in this for the long haul......

Here is my story so far...

Stopped taking pill in April 07 (after 15 or so yrs), early mc/poss cp? July 07 and nothing since .

Went to GP as I was worried about irregular cycles (longest 39days, shortest 28 days)and have had 3 day 21 prog tests so far.

First test came back as 1.0 (was on day 21 of 39 day cycle so prob too early to be of any use)second and third tests were both spot on timimg and came back as 16 and 45 . Also v. excited that I had two 28 day cycles in a row!

I am back at doc's on Tues for another day 21 test.

Starting acunpuncture on Thurs to try and regulate cycles - in the meantime trying to 'do the deed' every other day just in case there is an egg floating around in there!

Have any of you tried acupuncture for irregular cycles? Did it help?

Also I have heard that prog levels should be over 50 ideally, is this true? Should I be asking for day 3 tests too? GP hasn't mentioned this yet.

Thanks

viksam · 17/02/2008 17:17

Hi Minnow1 Im sure u are more than welcome on this thread, i dont post very often but i try to keep up.
I dont have any experience with irregular cycles so cant help you there sorry.
I had several blood tests at the GP's and every time they did both day 3 and day 21, they also tested for thyroid, i would defo ask them to do that if you can. Mine turned out to be underactive and can effect fertility. After ttc for 3 yrs i went to the docs and he basically patted me on the head and told me to go away and have some fun........his exact words! I went and found myself a woman doctor at a different surgery and she was brilliant, really proactive, sent me to the hospital straight away for a consultation and did blood tests that week, fab. It all takes so long, and the waiting can get to you loads, but lets hope you dont get that far.
Hi everyone else, hope ur all well!
