Feeling very fed up with failing every month and wondered if there's anyone in the same boat? It's a lonely boat on a journey to nowhere at the moment, but if anyone else wants to join me, some company would be nice

I'm not sure about scanning, I would not want to say one thing and be completely wrong. It totally depends I suppose if you did conceive 8 weeks ago, when did you get your positive?
All I can say is I know how you are feeling and its devastating to have a scan and to be told things are not as should be. I totally feel for you especially being told to wait. What have they said in their opinion would be the likely outcome from next weeks scan?

Ready · 04/01/2008 15:33

I can be of no help at all, having never conceived but I wish you all the very best, and hope that it works out for you.

coggy · 04/01/2008 15:39

Oh Kd... ....I do hope that your next scan is better news for you.

Ready · 04/01/2008 15:40

Coggy, lovely to see you, hope you are well. How is the IVF going? I suppose the business phase isn't for a little while yet? Or have I made that up? Wishing you all the best.

coggy · 04/01/2008 15:47

Well it's all just got a little scary actually Ready.
I'm due to start taking progesterone tablets in about a week's time with a view to having the IVF at the end of Feb. But I've just got a letter saying the first week in Feb.

AAAaarrrrrrgghhh!

That's only a month away!!

Got another planning meeting next week so we shall see!

I'm trying to not get too obsessed but y'know!!
Thanks for asking.
X

Ready · 04/01/2008 16:05

Wow Coggy, as soon as that! How very exciting Of course I totally understand the trying not to obsess and failing malarkey. But don't be too hard on yourself for it, it would be weird if you were nonchalant and relaxed about it all. (Not just you but anybody I mean ... not sure if that comes across right but I hope you understand me ) It's a big thing. Fingers and toes are crossed for you, you deserve so much happiness.

coggy · 04/01/2008 16:10

Thank you. I do understand what you mean!

It is a big thing.
I think I am only just beginning to realise how big!!!

Hopefully all well worth it as well.
We shall see.

Hi Everyone, I hope you don't me joining your thread. I have just read all of your conversations from start to finish and they have made me feel so much better. We have been TTC for 18 months, i recently went for a laparoscopy and they found endometreosis, cysts and blocked tubes, they say that they managed to clear everything and I am now in my second cycle of Clomid. Reading your stories gives you hope, and make you realise that we are all in the same situation.

KD - Not sure about scanning, I hope everything is OK for you.

Ready · 04/01/2008 18:25

A big welcome to the thread to Bonnie So pleased that you have taken comfort from our conversations - I suspect especially the totally nutty ones - because we are a bit like that here, and if you weren't you wouldn't have posted... am I right? Sorry, I shouldn't be teasing you straight away, should I? I should let you settle in a bit before I show myself up! Sorry to hear about your complications, but hopefully they have cleared the way for that BFP. 18 months is hard going, but you have come to the right place - we are very supportive here, even if I do say so myself. I wouldn't be without these girls!! Anything we can do, just shout!

Ok... I should probably shut up now, and get back to cooking dinner. We're having chilli con carne

nomoremagnolia · 04/01/2008 18:55

(((KD)))Fingers crossed. Could you be less pg than you think and it's too early to pick up a heartbeat? I really hope (and pray, if that's ok with you) that everything's ok

Bonnie WELCOME (to the madhouse!!)

Coggy Best of luck with the IVF - just keep thinking of the long term goal

All together after 3 - 1...2...3

BIG FAT EGG .... NOW

Ready · 05/01/2008 14:21

I am procrastinating. I should be getting my house in order, but there is no one about to help me put off being busy. Tut.

coggy · 05/01/2008 16:39

Tut, tut indeed...get on with your work Ready!!!!

I have 20 minutes before my next job so I thought I'd MN for a while. Naughty eh? I have millions of other things I should be doing too!!!!!

Ready · 05/01/2008 17:18

The minute my back is turned, someone pops on .
Coggy - your next job? On a saturday? Ok, this is clearly over the top nosy, on my part (yeah, yeah, what's new?) but I thought you were a school teacher? Have I dreamt this? Tell me to sod off if you like.
Anyway, I did get on with my jobs and my house looks lovely - you'd never know we moved in less than 3 weeks ago

Really need to go get a shower now though going to a friends 40th birthday party tonight

coggy · 05/01/2008 18:47

Oooh...have a lovely time won't you?
You can chill out and enjoy yourself now your house is all spankly and gleaming eh?!

I am a part-time teacher, I also work as an colour and style guru!!
A bit like Trinny and Sus...but MUCH nicer and way more polite!!! (Most of the time anyway. )

coggy · 05/01/2008 18:47

Terribly, terribly nosey BTW!!!!!!!!!

Ready · 05/01/2008 18:51

Just popped back on to put this link on before I forget Chicken Out!

Oooh Coggy, that sounds like a fun job!! You must give us all some style tips. I loved What Not To Wear (before Trinny and Susannah left and went even more barking) . Sorry for being so nosy, but I am glad I was, because I am terribly impressed

If I don't dry my hair now, I will be late.

coggy · 05/01/2008 19:41

Soooooooo....what exactly is one wearing to this 40th then?!

coggy · 05/01/2008 19:47

Have signed for them poor old chickies and sent to friends.

Orb · 05/01/2008 19:55

Hello all, I hope you don't mind a newcomer just gate-crashing into your thread but I've read your messages and I would just like to tell you my mum's story...she tried for 10yrs to get pg in the 1950s and into the 1960s...nothing ever happened. She saw a couple of docs (you can imagine what fetility medicine must have been like back then...) and one even implied that there were enough children in the world already . The good news is that she did get pg and had two kids within 15mths, in her upper 30s. I still cannot imagine what it must have been like to wait so long to have a family...I wish you all well and best of luck in 2008.

Orb · 05/01/2008 19:56

fertility even!

coggy · 05/01/2008 20:03

Thank you Orb....that's good to hear.
I'm probably on for about 8 years now but I'm VERY thankful for modern technology.

How ing of that doctor - your poor Mum!

Ready · 05/01/2008 20:41

What is the matter with me? I think I am addicted to MN I am supposed to be leaving to collect dh en-route to the party in 5 minutes and I am sitting here

Thanks for that Orb - does give us hope

Coggy one is wearing jeans, and a black and silver shirt with black waistcoat over the top. Tried to find the shirt online to show, but Zara's website is poo. It's short sleeves, and the sleeves are puffy. That is a pants description but I think I look half decent ... are you going to tell me that waistcoats are last season

Right... I'm going. Honest.

coggy · 05/01/2008 23:13

All sounds very nice to me girly!

Now I do hope you have got there by now!!!!!

Ready · 06/01/2008 17:51

I arrived to collect dh bang on time and then got to the party just as it was getting into full swing. Always the best time to arrive And had a jolly good time. I had a few compliments on my attire, so presume I did ok

Where the feck is everyone?? I am sitting on a question that I want to ask... but if no one is here to hear me, then I will have to save it...
