Feeling very fed up with failing every month and wondered if there's anyone in the same boat? It's a lonely boat on a journey to nowhere at the moment, but if anyone else wants to join me, some company would be nice

LOL Gilly... you've just put a smile on my face..

I'm sure I felt some ovulation pain yesterday, so I reckon it might be ready for its decent! & to meet my DH soldiers!

Anyone got a good name for my egg?

gillystarrynight · 18/12/2007 10:20

I think this will be a noble, strong egg (and good lokking) so I vote for Nathaniel - Nate for short - 6 ft Under - swoon.

gillystarrynight · 18/12/2007 10:24

What am I saying it has to be a female name!!! OK Nathaniel for DH's swimmer and Evangeline for the egg. They sound like high aristocracy names ? motivated, successful and rolling in money. You just have to set up their ?blind? date now!

gillystarrynight · 18/12/2007 10:24

Please tell me if I am getting carried away here......

RahRah1 · 18/12/2007 11:13

Oh Gilly.... of course your not!

Loving the names... so for the egg this month its '''Evangeline'''

and for the sperm that will penetrate it... '''Nathaniel'''

How Cute... they both have names

nomoremagnolia · 18/12/2007 15:37

at you two!
Best of luck Evie and Nate!!

Morning Evangeline, how are we doing pet? Fattening up nicely? Very soon now you will be going to a party with lots of eligible young men but there is a certain lad you need to look out for. His name is Nathaniel - of good stock of course - he is the one so make sure you latch on and never let go

RahRah1 · 19/12/2007 15:18

Hi there

Evie is dead and Nath never got out the bag or sack even
I went to day and the nurse could not find my egg (Evie) and therefore they could not go ahead with the treatment. It looks like I have ovulated whilst my egg was still small and not viable for treatment. I'm having a blood test Xmas eve to test for ovulation. They are doing another cycle next month without drugs again and they want to understand if my egg does reach a viable size, so they will scan me everyday next month. If it happens again they will give me some clomid to try and increase my egg size. Very frustrated and disappointed,,, especially since they had such good names. I just wanted at least to be in the running this month, oh well I'm going to all the parties and get together's now as can have a tipple that I thought I would miss!

How is everyone? Hope everyone is well!

gillystarrynight · 19/12/2007 15:35

Rah I am so sorry to hear this .

I have been thinking about you all day and wondered what (if anything) happened today. You deserve a big hug, a good glass of the best red wine you can land your hands on and some nice chocolate. Think of the positives ? 1) you know the gig now 2) daily monitoring will mean that they cannot miss it next time 3) enjoy drinks now as you are going to be monitored and possibly on drugs in the new year so that?s not going to be a possibility. Don?t worry about the names ? Nate still stands because he never made an appearance and I already have another girl?s name for egg No. 2 (Evie you let us down badly girl!). I?m going on holiday between 29th Dec and 14th Jan so I?ll post it next week and hopefully one of the others will offer daily encouragement!

nomoremagnolia · 19/12/2007 19:12

(((Rah))) So sorry Evie wsn't up to the job - the perfect egg is there somewhere though.
Gilly You are a great cheerleader I'll do my best to take up your role in Jan for Rah

Rah, sorry to hear about Evie.

However, there is a party planned in the new year with Nate's name on it. The boys are all cheering "Go on my son". Its going to be riot with fireworks and everything - so until then enjoy Christmas with a drink (or two)

Gilly - hope you have a lovely holiday

Finally, thanks for all the whispers - shhhhhh...........

gillystarrynight · 20/12/2007 09:40

I have a lovely cheerleading team - wave those pom-poms girls!!!

rattling · 21/12/2007 11:10

Just about to lose internet access as I go off on my huge Christmas holiday - won't be back at work until 10th January

Hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas and as we need lots of BFPs to get us through the darkness till spring, work on keeping that drunk/sober balance just right

Here's to 2008 being our year

nomoremagnolia · 21/12/2007 22:26

Rattling Have a lovely break I second the toast to 2008 - only 10 more days of 2007 to go...
kd Did I miss something? Should I be quietly congratulating you? I hope so

I am 9 weeks on Monday . Got BFP on the day I went on holiday, but thought I lost it whilst away and desperately wanted to come home within 24 hours of arrival.

Anyway, blood tests confirm everything ok as of Monday.

Very scared as had m/c at 9wks in summer having been told that I was unlikely to conceive naturally.

I've had a shocking year of bad luck, so please everyone keep fingers crossed for me.

Thanks, good luck and happy christmas!

gillystarrynight · 28/12/2007 14:56

Hi all, hope you have had a very Merry Christmas.

Nomore, the pom-poms are duly trimmed and puffed up. I left them in the wardrobe beside the short skirts . I have chosen 'Isabella' for egg No.2, hope that's OK. Rah, how are you? When does round 2 start?

Pregnant or not I will be thinking of all of you. Last time I went on holiday we visited a church in the Andes (Our Lady of Miracles as it happens) and I asked for lots of BFPs. When I got back I found out that MrsMcJnr got her BFP that day. So you are all coming with me to the upteen temples we are bound to visit in India .

Happy New Year!

RahRah1 · 29/12/2007 18:12

Howdy girlie...

Thanks for all your messages of support, as soon as I get my period I will call the clinic and they will book in my scans for cycle 2. 'Isabella' it is for egg no 2!

We finally have internet access at home... woohooo and then left my laptop at the office and my hubbie seems less than inclined to letting me use his

Wow... everyone seems to be going on holiday... have a great time. I'm with you at that Temple Gilly. They even say in the clinic's handbook that going on holiday improves your chances as relaxing helps fertility! So hoping for lots of BFP's from you holiday goers!

kd73 - I have my fingers firmly crossed for you XXXXX XXXXX

Hope everyone had a good xmas, I got lots of gifts, so totally spoiled...

I'm off to scoff some more chocolates (I got a chocolate hamper from someone.. ...YIPPPPEEEE

nomoremagnolia · 29/12/2007 22:18

A Chocolate hamper Rather puts my selection box in the corner! I'm not on holiday though I agree everyone else seems to be.
I will be ready and waiting with the pom poms as soon as you say the word.

Wooooo! I am back online. Phew. So much to catch up on - better go do that before I start waffling on about me

How are you all? How were your christmases?

Iamsogloomy · 31/12/2007 13:30

Hello Ready and everyone else, I hope that you had happy Christmasses. I've been reading this thread on and off since it started and would like to join (if i may) for some new year support and good luck! (must change my name I'm not as miserable as I sound...!) I hope i qualify, been ttc for over 2 yrs, never been pg before and feels as if it will never happen. We've been told by clinic that ivf is our best chance (DH problems not me) but not sure i want to resort to that. hmmm.
So what has everyone got planned for this evening?!

Ready · 31/12/2007 14:00

Iamsogloomy - Welcome aboard Of course you are welcome, and you certainly qualify. Sorry to hear that you have been told that IVF is your best bet. I have to say the thought of IVF scares me, and I desperately hope it isn't something I have to seriously consider, so you are not alone in having doubts. There are lots of people who are having/have had IVF that I am sure would tell you their stories, it might help with the doubts.

I had a lovely Christmas, how about you? I am only just back online, and fully intend to make the most of it this afternoon. Although I probably should be cleaning my house . This evening I plan on drinking a few and eating lots - last chance before the new year starts and healthy eating begins again. How about you?

Ready · 31/12/2007 14:03

oops. just posted a yawn on one of the tedious gender preference threads. eek.

kd73 · 01/01/2008 18:42

Ready - you are so naughty (but fabulous).

Ready · 01/01/2008 18:43

Blush Grin

RahRah1 · 02/01/2008 11:05

Welcome Iamsogloomy, Sorry to hear you are having troubles TTC. Are you currently on the waiting list for IVF? I'm doing IUI at the moment, so going to the fertility clinic regularly if I can be of any help.

Hello to everyone else.... Got my period new years eve... so 'Isabella' it is for egg number 2!
