Feeling very fed up with failing every month and wondered if there's anyone in the same boat? It's a lonely boat on a journey to nowhere at the moment, but if anyone else wants to join me, some company would be nice

Ready is not a good girl! She is defo a xmas peaker!

when I was a child I use to creep into my parents bedroom and go through all my pressies. I would then drop hints about all the things I did not like so they could take them back! How naughty was I!

So what does everyone want from father xmas this year?

nomoremagnolia · 06/12/2007 13:56

Rah
I was far too good obviously as I never even went looking for the presents, let alone at them!!
Ready I thnk the message came from the nominator - the present could have been bought by anyone! I've offered to buy a present and I've been told who to send it to and a reason why (eg MNer with 1yo DD in need of a treat for herself) I'll let you off as it wasn't wrapped!

How very dare you I am a good girl. If it was wrapped I would never have opened it

One year, my little bro and I (left alone while Mum popped to the shops) carefully unwrapped, peeked and rewrapped ALL of our presents under the tree - terrible I know. And do you know what, I never did it again. I was so gutted on christmas morning because there was no excitement. Plus we got into lots of trouble

I love surprises, I am so excited about what dh has got for me this year. I have a wishlist - a new bag, clothes (dh is brilliant and picking out clothes), benefit make-up items, Liz Earle products, a new hot water bottle (really lovely wooly one in Oasis I have my eye on) and a new keyring. - Reading that back makes me look really greedy - I don't expect everything off my wishlist.

Oh, and a BFP

Oh, right Nomore - the nominator (sounds like an Arnie film ) suggested what to write in the card - I wonder who nominated me How are you babe? Big hugs xx

Ready · 06/12/2007 22:36

Oops. Gilly - pressed post before typing my bit to you - We had a black and white ensuite when we lived in Northants... our last owned house was green and white. This next place is another rental,so plain white and magnolia - with black and white accessories CHIC! We are back where we grew up for the time being, not sure for how long, but then we never know How are you doing with work? And your rental?

Rah - How's your house coming along? Have you decorated any rooms yet? Or settling in? Did you get to choose any of the colours before it was finished?

Chocolatedays · 08/12/2007 17:53

Hi Chaps
I wrote an epic to all of you and then my PC died . Note sure this will be quite as thorough!

Still seem to be OK though very limbo landish! My 12 week scan is in 2 1/2 weeks - that will hopefully reassure.

I can completely empathise with the "what do I want for Christmas... well apart from the obvious.." comments - for years I have said A BABY to my poor DH - and each new year I have wondered if this year might make the dream come true - here's hoping 2008 brings a bumper crop for this thread.

Coggy - I did SP this time (& LP first time) - follicle response is said to be better with SP - though there is a higher risk of over stimming. I didn't stim very well as I got a large cyst which impaired one of my ovaries. So long as you drink the +2litres of water a day the side effects tend not to be too bad - the water flushes out the excess drugs. I had a few days of feeling hungover and my acupuncturist encouraged me to up the fluids a bit. I took pregnacare + (with the omega 3 caps) plus mage a smoothie with fruit, approx 1 pint organic milk and solgar each day while stimming. Hope this helps.

Gilly - my DH wasn't keen on giving his first sample - I did a couple of things one was got

Coggy & Gilly... in fact any of you- don't be afraid to ask me questions - being able to ask qu's on the net was/is very important to me and I'd love to return the favour.

Ready - glad to see you are writing with a more upbeat tone - are you moving back to E.Anglia? I'm originally from Suffolk and I think I recall you coming from that neck of the woods too.

Lots of love to everyone else -

Now let's see if this works this time!!!
love Choc

Ready · 08/12/2007 22:24

Lovely to hear from you Choc - I am always doing that, writing long messages, then losing the lot - although I suspect mine is more through carelessness, than yours
How exciting, not long until your 12 week scan, just in time for xmas too Have you told your family yet? Or are you going to give them a lovely gift of the news? I am feeling a little more upbeat, I think it is because we are not worrying about ttc this month - we are still giving our best shot but since we won't have moved into our new abode until after ovulation, then we are not holding out hope of success. Terribly liberating, not expecting a bfp . Well, as I type I am sitting in your old county - and lovely it is too - though wet and windy today Did you venture far from home?

Where is everyone? I have an evening to myself (dh out getting sozzled at christmas do) but noone is about. Tut

Ready · 08/12/2007 22:37

Prompted by Nomore and her anniversary, I just did a quick look through some of my early posts - I was so lame back then
Found this, made me feel a right lemon

Ready · 11/12/2007 13:43

where are you all????

RahRah1 · 11/12/2007 13:54

I'm here Ready!!!

Choc - Best wishes for your scan... its amazing... enjoy...

Started my IUI today... Scan number 1 = follicles are measuring 11, CD10 and have 2. Need to be rescanned on Fri.
Any advice from anyone?

Hope everyone is well... Xx

Ready · 11/12/2007 14:04

I have a reply to your email in draft - don't faint if I reply today
PMSL at almost getting a probe up your bottom Fingers and toes crossed for you this week, sweets. Goodness knows you deserve that BFP!!!! I think I speak for everyone when I say we will all be sending out positive thoughts for you and dh! xx

RahRah1 · 11/12/2007 14:16

Thanks Ready... Hopefully she will get the right hole next time... LOL

I think DH thinks this will relieve the constant stress we have over sex normally around ovulation... we will wait and see!

Ready · 11/12/2007 14:25

The best thing is to relax and enjoy sex for no other reason than sex

RahRah1 · 11/12/2007 14:29

Yer right!

After 3 years of TTC, we try to enjoy sex but when it comes to DTD around ovulation there is only really one reason you are doing it then!

Ready · 11/12/2007 15:11

((((hugs))))

RahRah1 · 11/12/2007 15:20

Actually DH just gets a cob on! Thats why men are from Mars and women from Venus... Men want it when it suits them and they are feeling horny and sod everything else and women want it when its practical... Or is it just me...
Maybe we need sex counselling!!!! HELP! LOL

Ready · 11/12/2007 16:39

You don't need sex counselling - You've both been through so much - these things take their toll. You'll be gagging for each other after 9 months of none when you are pregnant

Ready · 11/12/2007 16:55

I am so fecked off. Sorry, but I have to let it out here. I almost let it out on the actual thread - but deleted it before clicking post. ARGH

I know I shouldn't be such a bitter old cow, and where's the harm, etc etc - but I just don't get it.

Chocolatedays · 11/12/2007 17:49

Ready - are you fecked off at a scented candle website... or is it just my PC that takes your link to there!!!

Ready · 11/12/2007 19:12

PMSL Hahahaha.

Ready · 11/12/2007 19:18

Well... it was another mumsnetter that sent me that link to those candles - that'll teach me to check my links won't it. Chuckle.

I have calmed down now... but this is what I should have linked to

nomoremagnolia · 11/12/2007 19:59

Ready Hahaha! I recognise that candle site from somewhere... Kind of stole your own thunder there as I was laughing at the wrong link so wasn't as pissed off by the boy thread!

Chocolatedays · 11/12/2007 20:20

Hey Ready This posh scented notepaper should really get you going

Ready · 11/12/2007 20:29
  • That note paper has just tipped me over the edge Hahaha.

Seriously, I know it wasn't that funny - but I am still giggling away to myself.

Certainly took the edge off the "How do I make a boy?"... I am so tempted to start a thread "How do I make a baby, ANY baby!"

nomoremagnolia · 11/12/2007 20:31

ohh Ready I was tempted to do the same! Do you remember when a similar thing happened a while ago in the hut? I'll bump the thread for you...
