Anyone just had their BFP?

And not quite ready to move to the pregnancy boards yet?
I've just had mine yesterday, and another today, so excited! But because of previous losses and just the general earliness (i'll only be 4 weeks tomorrow!)
Anyone got any symptoms yet? I've only got a tiny bit of soreness in my boobs, less than i get even at ovulation time. and i'm tired - i accidentally fell asleep putting DS to bed at 7pm last night, but again thats not all that unusual! So i very much don't feel pregnant at this early stage, but i so hope I get another baby this time!

Really struggling today. Started feeling really sick last night and been sick several times in the night. Can't even face having a shower, luckily DS is at nursery today. Starting to worry this will be it until baby is born like last time

@popcorndiva sorry to hear that. I’ve been a little nauseous but nothing to that extent. Can you see your gp about some anti sickness meds?

Report
popcorndiva · 03/12/2020 11:47

None of the meds worked last pregnancy but I maybe might ring and ask if there is a new one available

Bellaphant · 03/12/2020 13:44

@Char899, I haven't seen them!

@popcorndiva, same, was sick at 4am, 6am, and then after breakfast! Is anything working? Carbs are helping a bit but I'm having to force pringles in my mouth.

Chewing a softmint helps. And just forced some toasted pitta down, feel very weak though

Hello lovelies.
How are we all ?
I'm with you @popcorndiva on the sickness front. It's awful isn't it 😭😭

Looks like morning sickness has kicked off on my end! Just when I thought I might be escaping it for a second time.. just had my head down the loo for 15 minutes. Argh

Any tips ladies? I didn’t have this with ds.

@Char899 the only thing that's taking the edge off for me is anti sickness bands and lemonade xx

popcorndiva · 04/12/2020 09:46

I have only had nausea this morning, stuffed some toast in as that helps and chewed on a couple of softmints. I also find that brushing my teeth helps maybe because its minty

@lepardprint oh lemonade actually sounds quite appealing. I think I have some somewhere.

Just managed a piece of toast and feeling slightly better now. Feel absolutely shattered though. Ds has come down with a cold and was up half the night. I’m going to be in bed by about 8pm tonight I reckon lol

Yayy for drugs @Bellaphant I have ordered some travel sickness bracelets on Amazon, fingers cross they help

How’s everyone’s nausea? I’ve escaped being sick but had plenty of waves of sickness :(

@Bellaphant have the drugs helped?

I’ve got an early scan booked for 19th (8+1) but I’m feeling so anxious I’m debating bringing it forward. Do you think there’s much point doing one earlier than that?

Report
Bellaphant · 05/12/2020 20:11

No, my scan place emailed me to basically say 'ws can scan you at 6 weeks but the difference between 6 and 8 is loads, so it's better to wait..'

Report
popcorndiva · 06/12/2020 07:35

I should be 9 weeks on the dot on my scan and we decided on that timespan because they are meant to look more like a baby by then well I have a head and arms and legs etc

They still look like a blob thing at 7 weeks I think

Report
popcorndiva · 06/12/2020 07:37

my nausea was bad but I am on an early shift so started at 6am. Sipping juice and hoping it will pass by the afternoon

Report
marcella64 · 06/12/2020 08:41

@popcorndiva I've had scans at 6 and 8/9 weeks before and there is huge difference. Wait till 8 if you can xx

Report
Char899 · 06/12/2020 15:43

I’ll wait until the 8+1 scan then. Hopefully time won’t go too slowly!

So sick today and feeling sorry for myself. No energy to play with ds who is intent on using me as a climbing frame. Fancy sleeping for about a week!

The meds are just total sedatives, im taking half in the am and half a pill pm but I've been like a zombie. This is actually worse than the constant puking...

:(

Told work as the vaccine centre is now officially starting in a week. Manager didn't seem overally surprised but did ask if I had taken a test ..little does he know how many. Said he would do a risk assessment for me on Friday when we are both next in
