@VP91x all good here. Wow cd50, you must be so stressed with it. How are you feeling? Xx

Lollol86 · 06/11/2020 15:27

@RichmondLady1981 I didn't have sex on ovulation day but did have sex the day before and I'm now nearly 16 weeks pregnant ❤️

Lollol86 · 06/11/2020 15:31

@HappyVibes omg I'm so happy for you this is so exciting 😆 congratulations lovely xx

MgW1 · 06/11/2020 16:09

@daisyorange
Thank you , its only first month of trying and been stressed with it all! Taking a more relaxed approach this time.
The SMEP sounds too demanding! My marriage would not withstand it!!! Im doing every other day x4 times in my fertile week. I just think 3 days on the bounce after your peak is necessary!! I can.het you anything a man wrote that SMEP plan!!!!! Xx

Furbsies · 06/11/2020 16:15

@HappyVibes congratulations that is so exciting. Can't wait to see you on this journey..

I'm 8dpo guys. How are you guys doing if anyone is on their tww... Just getting more and more desperate because I don't feel any symptoms

daisyorange · 06/11/2020 16:16

@MgW1
Hahahaha that really made me laugh - my husband hates SMEP too. Every other day was ok but once it got to three on the trot neither of us was having fun!

I think the amount you're doing is a lot!! We only did it once in fertile week when we got pregnant - so just goes to show that it's quality not quantity (literally!!!)

I want to try and take a relaxed approach to the next cycle and just stop with the OPKs, temperatures, tracking every little thing - it's driving me mad and not helping now we're in lockdown either. It's easier said than done though.

We'll all get there in the end! X

RichmondLady1981 · 06/11/2020 16:24

Hi @daisyorange. I wouldn’t worry to much about a steady rise. I remember asking about that on my last cycle, as my rides were quite gradual, and I remember one lovely lady responded that she recently got her BFP with a steady temp rise. So hopefully no issues for you.

Here’s the info on where o got the check and what it includes. The lady I see performed my surgery following the MMC so I feel like she knows my story.

www.london-gynaecology.com/self-pay-packages/fertility-health-screen/

Keep trying in that FW and you’ll soon get your BFP I’m sure. Remind me what cycle you’re on now?

I read up on the SMEP but thought it was quite prescriptive. I’ve felt a few UTIs coming on during this FW but I keep reminding myself to pee frequently and to drink loads of water. Nightmare!

RichmondLady1981 · 06/11/2020 16:27

@Lollol86 thank you so much for that. Really reassuring. 💕

Can’t believe you’re so far along. Hope you’re feeling ok. Always keep us posted. X

RichmondLady1981 · 06/11/2020 16:28

@MgW1 sooooo right! A man definitely wrote the SMEP plan! 😂 😛

MgW1 · 06/11/2020 16:30

@daisyorange
Exactly what we are doing. DTD Tues, thurs sat&sun week after next ( according to my app) !!! I have to give my husband notice because he wont be able to have any alcohol that weekend 🤣🤣
Im not doing any opk 's or taking temps. I cant bothered , not peeing on any sticks this month! 1st month of trying since mc in Aug for us and I have never used opk's before and I have 2 children and never used them when we conceived them. I just started vitamins and supplements 2 months prior and got pregnant pretty much straight away. Im older now so anticipating it will take longer , plus possibly still getting over the stress of the mc but no harm in trying!!! We will get there 💪
Have you got some anti biotics for UTI or just trying to flush it out with extra fluids? Xxx

Lollol86 · 06/11/2020 16:30

@RichmondLady1981 I know it does seem to be going quickly. I'm ok thank you have a private scan next Saturday so should know whether we are team pink or blue. How are you doing? Xx

daisyorange · 06/11/2020 16:35

@RichmondLady1981

Thanks so much for sending that - I'll look into it.

This is cycle 5 post early MC which happened in June. June was the first time we'd tried and we fell immediately, no luck since.

I'm now letting my mind run wild with possibilities of things that could be an issue. As time has gone on since MC I've noticed my luteal phases getting slightly shorter, so that's bothering me. Other than that I can't see a reason why we'd have an issue. We're both 28, healthy, no known health issues... just not been our time yet I guess.

I'm a big believer in fate and I do really feel our time is coming before the end of the year. Well, that's what I tell myself!

From your chart, it looks like you're pretty much doing SMEP without trying anyway! What cycle are you on?

daisyorange · 06/11/2020 16:40

@MgW1

I think I might try your approach - it sounds much more manageable! I've got some strong antibiotics that are safe for the TWW so they should do the trick.

I've been taking Coqo10, Vitamin D, Folic Acid and DHA since April! Although this is cycle 5, we took time off trying for cycle 3 & 4, and I also stopped the vitamins. We have really gone for it this month so I am so desperate for that BFP after all our hard work (lol!)

How long were you trying for baby number 3 before your MC?
Xx

RichmondLady1981 · 06/11/2020 17:43

I know how you feel. I have an 18 month old son and we caught on honeymoon first try. Then after breastfeeding on cycle 2. This is the fourth cycle of trying after MMC. Praying for some luck soon. I was told that there prob aren’t any issues due to conceiving this year but if peace of mind helps in the grand scheme of things, then it’s worth it.

I had the same issue with Luteal phase. Have you heard of Vitex (chasteberry)? The drops not pills. It was amazing for my luteal phase. Just take on an empty tummy every morning of luteal phase after ovulation. The month i stated taking it I fell pregnant. Perhaps a coincidence but who knows. My luteal went from 8-12 days. Worth a try? Have a read and see what you think. I actually didn’t realise I’d done SMEP! Except I missed ovulation day! 😭 😣

daisyorange · 06/11/2020 18:25

Thanks so much for that advice @RichmondLady1981 I think I'll try the Vitex if I don't fall this month. My luteal phase is usually between 11-12 days, which I know isn't a huge worry but I wondered whether that had anything to do with MC.

Do you think there is any truth in 'just relaxing'? God that makes my blood boil - people keep saying this to me all the time, but I am a very anxious person and I just can't seem to not obsess. I wonder whether the first time we conceived was because we were more relaxed? I was extremely drunk and hungover - and that's the only time we fell. Lol!

I really really wouldn't worry about ovulation day - Natural Cycles says the peak day is the day before, and going by lots of the lovely ladies on this chat, it sounds like the day before ovulation has a high success rate!

Bellabubble · 06/11/2020 18:37

@HappyVibes thank you! Luckily today was so crazy that it seemed to whizz by - I’m going to binge watch lots of Jane the virgin this eve (it’s my feel good show lol!) and try not to worry about tomorrow. Luckily I booked a mod-morning one so won’t have to wait too long!! Huge congratulations to you too - that line is definitely darker!! :)

@RichmondLady1981 thank you! I keep thinkkng aswell that it would be really bad luck to have 2 mmc - I think the mmc is less common from what I have read? I am now at the stage where I want tomorrow here lol, but am also nervous for it! Work has been a good distraction during the day this week! Your fertility scan sounds amazing! Very thorough - do you get a record of their findings too so you don’t have to remember it all?

@Runnergirl1 thank you - I’m definitely erring on the more positive side this eve..so hoping I kee that up lol!

familybythesea · 06/11/2020 18:42

Hi all, not a good update from me - I got my BFP less than two weeks ago and sadly I’m already miscarrying :( Gutted as I’d just started to get my hopes up that this time it would be ok. I had a scan booked on Monday at EPU From when I started spotting and was wondering if anyone knows if I have to still go? I called them and they said yes, but I’m now testing almost negative so
I can’t see the point? I really don’t fancy reliving my time in EPU from earlier in the year. Has anyone had this?

familybythesea · 06/11/2020 18:43

On a more positive note, thrilled to hear your news @HappyVibes!! I’ve got everything crossed for you. Seems like Clomid did the trick?!

Runnergirl1 · 06/11/2020 19:16

@familybythesea so so sorry to hear this. Sending lots of hugs and love your way. They will want to make sure everything has come away x

RubyRainbow16 · 06/11/2020 19:27

@daisyorange I feel the exact same about the ‘just relax and it will happen’ comments 🙄 it’s so hard to relax when you feel like your life revolves around it! And I was the same last time we were very relaxed weren’t particularly trying at the time and had been drinking too when we got pregnant. Hopefully we can ‘relax’ enough for it to happen again! 🤞🏻

Pugprincess · 06/11/2020 19:48

So sorry to read your sad news @familybythesea. I agree with @Runnergirl1 the epu will want to make sure all the tissue is away I suspect. Best to rule out ectopic and stuff too? X

@HappyVibes congratulations it’s looking good for you. Xx

@VP91x thank you for asking how we are doing! Hope you are all well. Sorry to hear the cycle is so long this time 😩 I’m 17 weeks tomorrow. Been feeling flutters and kicks since 15 weeks as I have a posterior placenta so can feel more. Found out I have negative blood so need anti d injection at 28 weeks I think it is. 20 week scan end of this month which I’m nervous for with it checking for abnormalities. I didn’t have any of the tests at 12 week scan as I wouldn’t want to risk the needle test so I couldn’t see much point. Xx

daisyorange · 06/11/2020 19:51

@RubyRainbow16 It's so frustrating isn't it? And usually always comes from someone who has fallen first time without even trying!

We stopped trying for a couple of months (didn't track or time BD) and I hoped that theory would come to fruition then, but it didn't!

I do think there is something to be said for just trusting the timing of when things are supposed to happen - my husband says 'when it happens, it will all make sense why that's the timing and not earlier' and that does give me hope. But some days are easier to have that mentality than others!

I just expected at my age it would 'just happen' without a thought. Which I suppose it did the first time. If it doesn't happen this month I am going to stop it all until next year and enjoy my Christmas!

Fingers crossed for good news for all of us before then. 4 DPO, just 8 to go!

Xxx

daisyorange · 06/11/2020 19:52

I'm so sorry @familybythesea sending lots of hugs xxx

RubyRainbow16 · 06/11/2020 20:14

@daisyorange yeah it’s always the way. Or they’ll say ‘we only had sex once the month we conceived’ how!!
Yeah that’s a really nice mentality to have. They say everything happens for a reason and it’s hard to see it now but everything will fall into place. I just wish it would hurry up and do so!
Yeah I felt the same with my age I’m 22 with no health issues. It happened straight away then mc’d in august, now on cycle 3 of trying.
I’ve told myself the exact same about Christmas. We said we will continue tracking for November but if it doesn’t happen not track for December and see if it happens 🤞🏻
I’m 13 DPO today, due AF tomorrow. I don’t know whether to just wait and see if it arrives and test Sunday if not, or test tomorrow. I just can’t help but feel like I’m not this month 😟 been tracking my BBT and my temperature dropped this morning which is apparently a sign of AF.
Hope your 2WW isn’t too bad! When did you MC if you don’t mind me asking? Xx

daisyorange · 06/11/2020 20:29

@RubyRainbow16 don’t you also think because we fell first time, after the MC you expected it to happen again straight away? I did!

I MC in June, it was only 6 weeks but we were sooooo excited, it broke our hearts.

I am terrible for testing, can’t help myself, but you’ve come this far in the TWW I’d probably try and stick it out! Your temps could shoot back up, you never know with temping if it’s another factor that has thrown it off. Mine have been quite weird this month.

I hope it happens for us both before Xmas so we can celebrate an extra Christmas pudding sitting secretly at the table! ☺️

Xxx
