Hey

This is my 9th month TTC my first baby and I'm 33. I got static smiley on Friday on OPK, and now I'm in my TWW - again! I'm currently on furlough so the wait seems even longer and more painful and I definitely end up going a bit crazy 🤪

Anyone else in similar boat and need keeping sane?! Also any TTC tips you've heard of? I will literally try anything at the moment haha.

@stepmumSW5 thank you. I'll be alright. Just got to forget about it all for a week and then on to the next month. We will all get our BFPs in the end.

@CAG14 this whole 'journey' has been so overwhelming. Even before my miscarriage and just TTC, you don't anticipate how hard it's going to be and how badly it can affect your sanity lol. Allow yourself to have a little cry if you need it! 💕

stepmumSW5 · 23/07/2020 14:40

@Stabal @CAG14 😘

LT103 · 23/07/2020 17:35

@CAG14 that’s rubbish!! It’s just the worst feeling. Relax for a couple of days and be kind to yourself. Fingers crossed for the next cycle

butterfly5291 · 23/07/2020 19:56

Sorry you're having such hard times 😘@Stabal@CAG14

Well I did another OPK just now.... nothing! How does that happen? I was really desperate for a wee so maybe too diluted?

Faith82 · 23/07/2020 22:33

Thanks so much @Stabal yeah they are one step, I have a drawer full of them and I’m literally binning them now! I’m not having anything that ambiguous in my house to add to the stress of this. Your message made me relieved to know it’s just a crap brand and that you’d experienced similar.

The boots own ones seem to be good so I’ll finish using them this cycle then switch to cb digital opk next cycle if I need to.

Now approaching the 3 days in a row time of smep, wish me luck ladies!!

Stabal · 23/07/2020 22:48

@Faith82 I literally bought 50 🙈 they were all binned too though and now using the femometer ones! Good luck 🤞

Stabal · 24/07/2020 00:51

I have a more slightly heavier bleed now with little clots. I'm taking this is AF. Meaning my luteal phase was 7 days.. Just another thing to add against me 😂

Mia1985x · 24/07/2020 10:09

@Stabal & @CAG14 sorry to hear AF has arrived for both of you 😔 it is such an emotional rollercoaster every month isnt it. I have a really short luteal phase too @Stabal and wonder if this goes against us. I spent hours googling it one day but try not to and put it to the back of my mind.

I am due to go to the doctors next week as we are now at 15 months of TTC and both over 35. I wonder what the first stage will be, I'm feeling nervous about even what to say at the appointment already. Need to try and forget it for now though as on CD10 so need to focus on SMEP. Talking of that my OH was away with work and just got back late last night. We missed CD8 of SMEP which is so annoying. DTD this morning on CD10. Anyone who has done/is doing SMEP what would you do in this situation? Just forget the fact we missed CD8 and go with the every other day from now until positive OPK or should we squeeze in another tonight/tomorrow to make up for missing CD8? Typical the first month of wanting to follow SMEP to the letter and he is away with work!

How is everyone feeling today?

CAG14 · 24/07/2020 10:14

Morning everyone! Thanks @Mia1985x and good luck with the appointment next week. Easier said than done but try not to worry. Hoping they can give you some reassuranxe and explain next steps.

I'm busy baking and cooking for my family coming to stay this weekend. Might not be on here as much over weekend.

Just thought we are about to come to the 1000 posts limit on this thread so I'll start a new one so everyone pop over there before we reach the limit xxx

Thanks @CAG14 I will keep you all updated on what they say. Oooo baking sounds yummy! What are you making? And that's nice you have family coming to stay this weekend, hopefully keep your mind off things a bit Smile

I can't believe we are almost at the 1000 limit! What a great support this group has been though. Thanks again for setting it up and will definitely be moving over to the new one.

CAG14 · 24/07/2020 10:40

@Mia1985x I'm making red velvet cake and a huge lasagne. Mainly just so I don't have to do anything when they are here haha!!

I cant believe it is 1000 either. I am so glad you all joined me and everyone has been amazing.

@CAG14 looking forward to the next thread already! I got bFN this morning and no AF or cramps yet 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lozz22 · 26/07/2020 14:56
@Lozz22 oh bless you sounds like a very stressful time for you. You must feel very under pressure too. I was a carer too so I understand. You could talk to your supervisor if you want, say you’re TTC and at a risk of miscarriage - can she give you clients that don’t require so much moving and handling. If you have those clients, I had a lot of clients who were dependant on the carers. But fingers crossed that you get your bfp soon and it’s a strong sticky one! X
Spoke to my Care Coordinator. I've been taken off that call. Although I'm probably going to look a right prat when I have to turn round and say oh false alarm. The past few days I've been really hopeful. Pinching pains in my left side again, nausea and occasionally sore boobs. Yet today apart from feeling a bit sick I've had nothing at all. Last time I had really sore boobs to the point I was nearly crying from the pain and I felt so fatigued although I can't remember when it all started exactly. Cervical mucus/ fluid is a mix of clear stretchy or thin white and milky although I've had that before my periods due as well. Stupidly did a test at 6-7dpo and it was a great BFN

Leobaby · 26/07/2020 16:28

@Lozz22 that’s good you’ve been taken off. It’s okay it’s better to be safe than sorry! Ahh that does sound hopeful I have my fingers crossed for you!! I was the same I did a test at 7dpo in the evening and got a bfp but ever since I’ve had bfns so I shouldn’t have done that. Due in 3 days but think I’m out ☹️

msunflower · 27/07/2020 21:31

After a possible early MC/CP last month (first month ttc #1), I finally had AF arrive about 10 days late, but have now started SMEP today on CD8! Fingers crossed for a sticky bean this month 🤞🏻How is everyone else doing?

Jadeb1995 · 28/07/2020 09:33

@msunflower because it got to nearly 1000 posts there's a new thread now 😊

Lozz22 · 30/07/2020 23:20

Think I'm out this month. All my symptoms have disappeared and tmi but apart from the odd few drops of discharge the toilet paper is pretty much dry when I wipe. Last time I was Pregnant I had tons of pale yellow discharge and this time I don't. Testing in the morning but I reckon I'll be nursing a broken heart for the rest of the day!

Lozz22 · 31/07/2020 18:47

Yep definitely out! Negative test today at 12-13 DPO all symptoms completely disappeared too. Now to try and come to terms with the fact, that our final chance of having a Baby has gone

LAS22 · 24/09/2025 15:44
