TTC baby no1. Looking for fellow crazy TTC friends!

Hey

This is my 9th month TTC my first baby and I'm 33. I got static smiley on Friday on OPK, and now I'm in my TWW - again! I'm currently on furlough so the wait seems even longer and more painful and I definitely end up going a bit crazy 🤪

Anyone else in similar boat and need keeping sane?! Also any TTC tips you've heard of? I will literally try anything at the moment haha.

@Stabal @LT103 I'm super regular but this is my first month without the copper coil so it might be affecting a bit although the doctor said it doesn't really as its not hormonal?

@stepmumSW5 hmmm then I doubt it's a late ovulation, it would be strange to have such a big change. Hopefully AF comes as normal (or a BFP!). I also had quite a dark line on an OPK when I was pregnant which is what actually led me to take a pregnancy test after but unsure of how soon that happens in early pregnancy, I was 6 weeks

@stepmumSW5 apparently you get a bit of a surge before AF arrives which can be picked up by opks. I’ve had this happen before and was so confused - so did some research and the most common reason for this happening before AF was you’re pregnant And it’s picked that up or because of the little LH surge you get before AF. Fingers crossed for that bfp!!

@Pippy20 fingers crossed! I'll keep you guys informed. No cramps or any sign of AF so far and normally it arrives in the morning for me. So I'm really hoping Af won't show up at all 😬🥰

AF is due tomorrow for me. Just want tomorrow to come so I know either way. Cramps are really on and off. Currently nothing 🤔 so confusing xx

Morning everyone

As this is my first month TTC and off my coil I'm not sure what is normal yet.
I've been taking OPKs everyday, and had the odd day with a tiny line and then yesterday the line was a bit stronger and app said 35% and this morning it said 30%
Do you guys normally see a steady incline on your OPKs?

@stepmumSW5 not a clue...I got my coil out 4th July, had a withdrawal bleed on the 6th.

I think i was ovulating when i had the coil in, because I remember thinking my discharge was funny but now i know that was EWCM. I just dont remember when I got it because I wasnt tracking then.

@butterfly5291 I see. I had mine removed on the 5th and had a period just before so I could track. I guess the best is to use OPK and if you eventually get a period start tracking xx

Need some advice! This is the difference between a boots own opk (top) and an internet cheapie (bottom)

How crazy is it that the ic is literally blank In comparison? I mean I know the boots one isn’t positive but it’s still picking up the hormone. It makes me really reluctant to use them. I used the cheap ones last month on their own and thought I didn’t ovulate coz the line was barely there when it finally appeared. Honestly thinking of just giving up with opks!!

I think I'm around 5DPO the wait is killing me. Had a miscarriage October last year and this month, at a push next month is mine and my DP last chance to conceive. I'm pin pointing all the symptoms I had last time. Wishing us all Baby dust

@Lozz22 tww really is such an anxious time - have you got anything you can do to distract yourself? Do you mind me asking why it might be your chance to conceive?

@Pippy20 work, housework and a binge watch of 24 hours in A&E!! Work is stressing me out not in a bad way it's just the nature of my job because I'm a Carer and a couple of my calls involve heavy moving and handling but I don't want to say anything if I aren't Pregnant but on the other hand and I am Pregnant I don't want the risks even though it's super early on. Part of me still beats myself up that before I found out I was Pregnant last year we'd gone on a walk in Skipton and I was helping a woman open a barge lock up and it was really heavy to push. I miscarried 7 weeks later. The reason why it's our last chance is because my DP is 53 on Sunday and we both said at the latest August maybe September and that's it. We live long distance so it's hard to time things perfectly for us too

@Lozz22 oh bless you sounds like a very stressful time for you. You must feel very under pressure too. I was a carer too so I understand. You could talk to your supervisor if you want, say you’re TTC and at a risk of miscarriage - can she give you clients that don’t require so much moving and handling. If you have those clients, I had a lot of clients who were dependant on the carers. But fingers crossed that you get your bfp soon and it’s a strong sticky one! X

@Lozz22 Haha good idea on the binge watching although I can’t watch anything medical related lol.

It’s so hard not to blame yourself over miscarriage - when mine happened I was convinced it was something I had done - and still think about it often now. It’s made me scared to do lots of things - like I used to run several times a week but I’ve completely given it up and now just do less intensive exercise. It’s such a devastating thing to go through but as I’ve tried to tell myself time and time again - you really mustn't blame yourself. Do you have anyone at work you can talk to about your concerns?

Long distance must be so hard, especially at the moment with everything going on. The timing of things is such a bugger! I had never realised how much was really involved in ttc!

@Faith82 is that ic one step? I used them in the past before my miscarriage and bought a new batch again in May and I've found them absolutely rubbish this time round. The same with you, other OPKs are picking it up but not them. Temping is the way to go I think, it's the only way to tell if you've actually ovulated anyway!

@CAG14 any updates? How are you?

@butterfly5291 I can have a slightly high reading then low again over a couple of days and then get my peak all of a sudden. Keep testing and I’d test 3 times a day if you can now to make sure you don’t miss your peak

@stabal heya! AF has reared her ugly head this morning before I could even test so I'm out. Feeling pretty crap to be honest but just trying to concentrate on other stuff. Me and OH decided that we will give it 3 more months until we look into getting tests done. It will be over a year by then. How are you doing?

@CAG14 oh balls 😞 I'm sorry! Another cycle bites the dust. What a load of rubbish everything is! I'd have been having my 20 week scan this week so emotionally a bit all over the place. Still have spotting today after the random bright red yesterday. Thinking of giving up to be quite honest lol

@stabal aww hun I'm so sorry. I totally understand why you feel like this. Every month that goes by must feel like a kick in the teeth on what might have been. Sending you lots of hugs. It is so shit isn't it all of this? I feel very emotional today like anything could set me off crying lol.
