Hey

This is my 9th month TTC my first baby and I'm 33. I got static smiley on Friday on OPK, and now I'm in my TWW - again! I'm currently on furlough so the wait seems even longer and more painful and I definitely end up going a bit crazy 🤪

Anyone else in similar boat and need keeping sane?! Also any TTC tips you've heard of? I will literally try anything at the moment haha.

@AM18 fingers crossed for you! It's definitely a really interesting learning curve and I'm telling everyone about it because it's so good to know your cycle whether you're TTC or not but I think everyone thinks I'm crazy lol

@Sansa87 I'm sorry 😔 I know I shouldn't say it but before I discovered I was pregnant I was convinced AF was coming every day for nearly a month (my periods have been irregular for years until last summer when I lost 4 stone so I wasn't overly concerned that it could be late), the pain was very similar. Until I had pulling pains on my right side and thought I was dying of appendicitis and thought I'm going to test to rule out pregnancy so I can get back to my impending death 😂 If AF does appear though I'm keeping everything crossed it's low dramatics and over soon to try again 💐

Sansa87 · 15/06/2020 09:13

@Stabal I really hope it’s that. I can be a drama queen, so hopefully the uterus is following suit

CAG14 · 15/06/2020 10:48

@Stabal I'm so sorry to hear of your missed miscarriage. That must have been heartbreaking. Having PCOS and endometriosis must be hard. My sister had severe endo and ended up having an operation and then got pregnant 2 months after op. This was after 2 years of trying too.

I am only 3DPO but I'm already feeling twinges and thinking is it something. I'm bloody mad. I know that I cant actually get any symptoms until at least 7DPO really so I need to get a grip haha. Now that shops are open we might go to looking for some furniture this week. We moved into our new house in february and have like zero stuff because shops shut and furniture couldn't be delivered. I have a bed but no wardrobes or anything so I've loved out of a suitcase for 3 months.

@sansa87 well done for skipping test, I'd find that so hard. But I get it as CB digital are so expensive. I've ordered some more FRER as I've run out. I try not to test too early now due to a chemical I had in february. Hard not to though.

@CAG14 I think the fear of seeing a negative was more than the desire to test 😂 if I don’t see it, I could technically still be pg. optimism, or denial, I’m not sure.

I have been really constipated last couple of days, but got the af poops this morning 🙄

Stabal · 15/06/2020 12:03

@Sansa87 keeping everything crossed for you, this waiting lark isn't easy!

@AM18 aww I'm so happy for your sister! I love hearing positive stories. Because of my weight I was continuously fobbed off by gynae that there was nothing they could do to help me when I know fine well there's options but surgery is a high risk for someone overweight. The whole process has been heartbreaking and the miscarriage was horrendous because we were so so happy and I got to see the flickering heartbeat in my first scan so we'd hoped everything was progressing well. Due to covid my fiancé couldn't come in with me to the scans so for the 9 week one he was sat blissfully unaware in the car park waiting for our next scan picture while I was being told our baby was dead. We're trying to stay positive in that it happened at all but its hard some days.
Sounds like you've got something to keep your mind occupied for a bit now! Enjoy shopping for the exciting new part of your life and hopefully in a couple of weeks there will be more excitement 😉

CAG14 · 15/06/2020 12:43

@Stabal I honestly couldn't imagine going through that. Especially alone for your scan. Heartbreaking. Well done for your 4 stone loss last year. I need to lose weight too which will probably help my fertility. Yes hopefully we can get new furniture and then a new arrival haha. I already know what room would be a baby room but it is currently a dressing room as not big enough for a guest room.

@AM18 losing the weight definitely helped me. My periods were so irregular, going months without one then bleeding for weeks and weeks. Heavy when I did have them and very painful because of endo but they became regular around my 1 and half stone loss and by November I was ovulating. Although slightly longer than a normal cycle (around 30-35 days) but they were every month and lasted 5 days so I was very happy with that. Hoping the miscarriage hasn't messed this up or the supplements I've started taking 😣 I know what you mean with the bedrooms, we have 3 and one is slightly bigger than a box room. You could fit a double but not much else so we had decided that would be for the baby and made all these plans to decorate it. I think we still will decorate, just neutral!

Hello Ladies!

DP and I have decided to ditch the condoms as of this week; we're not going to actively ttc just yet but we decided to let nature take it's course for now. We'd be thrilled if it happens, and if it hasn't by Christmas then we'll get more serious about it because we're getting on a bit (I'll be 37 and he'll be 39 by Christmas).

I have had a sneaky look at my period tracking app and this coming weekend seems to be the time. Such a tiny chance of it happening but EEK in any case.

Good Luck to you all x

HowFastIsTooFast · 15/06/2020 13:41

Further to my last post; I've just had a proper read through the thread and want to send lots of love to those of you who have been struggling x

Leobaby · 15/06/2020 13:46

Hey ladies,

Not really TTC, but I am sorta lol 😂 I want a baby so kinda going with the flow with whatever happens. My cycle varies from 30-35 days but I seem to ovulate around cycle day 15/16. I always get the fertile mucus too, sorry if TMI. I wondered if you lovely ladies could help me, I’m forever ready forums but thought I’d actually write this time! So, I had unprotected sex with my man on cycle day 13, as far as I know I didn’t see any ewcm, but then later that evening I did. And the following day, and I still have some today which makes it cycle day 15! I don’t think I have ovulated yet as I usually get a few cramps when I do. But I’m wondering am I still in with a chance If I eventually ovulate today or tomorrow? I know it takes hours for the egg to be released and I don’t know if my mans swimmers are good to survive days lmao 😂 I hope they are lol. So do you think I’ll still be in with a chance this month? I can’t dtd today unfortunately so I can only go off when I did it on Saturday!

Also good luck to all you ladies TTC! X

Stabal · 15/06/2020 14:21

@Leobaby definitely still a chance, it's recommended you have sex just before ovulation as well as the peak for more of a chance as sperm can survive 48 hours. Good luck 🤞

Leobaby · 15/06/2020 14:25

@Stabal ok thank you! I hope so, I think obviously I would have a higher chance if I was able to dtd again today or so. We shall see if my partners swimmers made it this long lol! Thank you 🙏🏼

holb54 · 15/06/2020 14:41

Hi girls, 24 and TTC for the very first time this month! Mainly using the Flo app but I've also gotten dates from 11 other ovulation prediction sites so hoping to just pack in the sex during those days in particular and hope for the best! Did get ovulation sticks but only cheap ones so will try one today just out of curiosity but going to get better ones tomorrow from boots! Sending love to all you ladies 🤞💕

CAG14 · 15/06/2020 15:30

@Leobaby you definitely have a chance as like @Stabal said sperm can live 48 hours. They even say up to 5 days. You may also have ovulated earlier.

Welcome @HowFastIsTooFast and @holb54 and good luck with the start of your journeys. I hope it will be quick for you both.

@CAG14 thank you so much

Ok so took an OPK and it was negative so going to try again Wednesday as it'll be CD9, I know that's probably too early but don't want to miss the month either

Leobaby · 15/06/2020 16:31

@CAG14 thank you! Fingers crossed they’ve made it lol. I keep check of my cervical mucus as that helps me a lot. Will probably start my 2WW in a couple days.

Stabal · 15/06/2020 16:41

@holb54 it's best to do a test every day to get an idea of when the peak could be coming as it comes very quickly when it does! Good idea to test at the same time every day and when then result starts to get darker even better to test twice a day as you could miss the peak just a few hours after. The cheapies work quite well for the most part! Good luck!

holb54 · 15/06/2020 17:24

@Stabal thanks for the advice, such a newbie at this so grateful for anyone's perspective or insight! Going to take your advice and get a few more boxes (why am I being so precious with them, they're so cheap??) and do them everyday until I start to see a darker line, thanks again 🤞

Stabal · 16/06/2020 08:15

I have no spotting today so who knows what's going on with me lol. How's everybody else doing today?

Kodasmom · 16/06/2020 08:36

Hi all sorry I took a day off my phone yesterday and there’s so many to reply to lol

I’m out this cycle. AF decided to tease me and wait until last night to appear. I had been having cramps but they were low down but anyway she’s here and I have my OPKs coming so I’m gonna properly check ovulation next week.

I also downloaded Femometer to compare it to FLO just to see. Are any of your taking pre conception multi vitamins or anything?

How are you all?

holb54 · 16/06/2020 08:49

@Kodasmom I just started taking Pregnacare Before Conception! Too soon to say how good they are but they seemed to get good enough reviews online! A lot on here seem to use 7 Seas.

LT103 · 16/06/2020 09:18

@Kodasmom I’ve been taking generic folic acid for a couple of months but just changed to pregnacare conception

Stabal · 16/06/2020 11:50

@Kodasmom @holb54 @LT103 you should check out my post on supplements, people have commented about those tablets and how they've messed their cycle.. I did a search on the forum after getting the responses and it seems very common! I'm currently taking folic acid, vitamin d spray, iron, calc fluor for TWW, myo-inositol and coq10

LT103 · 16/06/2020 12:30

@Stabal I have read that it did that for some. My cycle is so all over the Place just now, I thought maybe it might help. I’ll finish this month then see What happens. If it’s not right I’ll switch to seven seas

Stabal · 16/06/2020 13:07

@LT103 ah yes, I guess it probably could be beneficial if your cycle is a bit muddled! Fingers crossed for you!
