Hey

This is my 9th month TTC my first baby and I'm 33. I got static smiley on Friday on OPK, and now I'm in my TWW - again! I'm currently on furlough so the wait seems even longer and more painful and I definitely end up going a bit crazy 🤪

Anyone else in similar boat and need keeping sane?! Also any TTC tips you've heard of? I will literally try anything at the moment haha.

@stabal argh I feel your pain. Was it the same time of day? Mine this month didn't get gradually darker so don't worry.

@Faith82 I’m just reiterating what everyone else has said, just because it’s got a BFN today doesn’t mean you’re out of it yet until AF arrives. a couple of drinks won’t do you any harm and by the sounds of it you need it ☺️

@CAG14 we usually have pizza Friday (not usually a take away we try make them or just a nice fresh one) but you’ve made me crave fish & chips now 😂

@Pippy20 what are you reading? well today has been a nightmare so I already need a drink, god knows how the weekend will end up like.
So the doorbell rings at 8.30am with a guy here to fix our built in wardrobes that OH forgot to mention, so I’m stood with a towel in my hair only just dressed and the room he needs to go in is my OH son who’s asleep 😂 as you can guess he wasn’t impressed being woken up haha then my day in work just went upside down because people are so frustrating & my house was supposed to complete today but now it’s been delayed till next week as the mortgage offer hasn’t been received form the buyers side even though everyone said it had. luckily I already live with OH so it’s not stopping me from moving but seriously what a day. 3pm is acceptable for a glass of wine right? 🤣 I’ll stop ranting now haha

LMA27 · 10/07/2020 14:48

@Stabal argh so frustrating. But sounds a little similar to what happened with @CAG14 ?

Stabal · 10/07/2020 14:50

@CAG14 yeah I always do it around 12 o'clock and then around 6 if it's at peak. Trying to stay positive and carefully watching my temps lol

CAG14 · 10/07/2020 14:51

@LMA27 omg sounds a nightmare day!!! House buying/selling is so stressful. We've recently done both and it nearly finished me off! Definitely not too early for a wine girl!

@LMA27 I’m about to start where the crawdads sing - I’ve heard good things! Just finished Cows by Dawn O’Porter - not my usual read but highly entertaining and a nice distracting read! Ugh I don’t envy you in house completions etc - such a stressful time but at least you aren’t moving anywhere I guess!

Haha I really fancy fish and chips now too!

butterfly5291 · 10/07/2020 16:33

@Pippy20 I love Dawn porters books...have you read the others? I've got where the crawdads sing on my wish list...let me know what you think. I'd really recommend Hearts invisible furies by John Boyne. I didn't want it to end!

Look at us talking about something other than cycles and babies 😂😂
However...which tests on Amazon did you say we're reduced? I'm not sure whether I'm just not ovulating yet or the IC I got are rubbish.

I've bought a bbt and some different OPKs from home health... check them out...had all kinds of stuff!

@Faith82 sorry about your bfn.... definitely try to enjoy your weekend and have a few drinks. Sounds like you need a break.

Hope everyone has a good weekend 😘

Hello everyone

We started TTC this month, first time ever in my life.
July 6 - clearblue no face
7th - CB no face
8th - 10th - CB blinking face

BD 2nd, 5th, 8th and 9th.

Yesterday I had light brownish spotting and today I had a bit more, lighter colour though. I had copper coil IUD for 3 years and had it removed on 29th June.

I also had mild cramping today. Could this be just ovulation bleeding? Anyone experienced the same?

CAG14 · 10/07/2020 17:59

@mumSW5 hello! Could the spotting be due to having the coil removed? I've heard it can take a couple of cycles to get back to regular periods after it has been removed?

Hello

I didn't have any pain or apotting when I had it removed, but indeed it can be a reason. I guess only time will really tell what it is... I've been having a bit of heartburn and fatigue in the afternoon. But im sure this is just my mind paying tricks with me.

Bleeding again.. I don't understand 😣

Pippy20 · 10/07/2020 19:57

@Stabal :-( is it intermittent bleeding like spotting or a proper flow? Might be worth giving your doctor a call? Hope you’re okay x

Stabal · 10/07/2020 20:27

@Pippy20 more like spotting but a little heavier. It came late evening on the 6th and was gone by midday the next day and now it's back again. You know when it feels stupid to even mention to a doctor.. I don't know what to do

Griff2020 · 10/07/2020 20:48

Any one in same position? What did you do .. any success stories?

So I'm in my early 30s and me and my partner have been trying for 2/3 years but only had two chemical pregnancies and 1 early miscarriages. I've got polycystic ovaries and b12 deficiency. We might be going for IVF but part of me fears about another miscarriage. It's like we wait ages to be pregnant and it just ends and other people have it so easy. I dont know if to try baby asprin??

Pippy20 · 10/07/2020 21:09

@Stabal I would maybe see how you are over the weekend and call your GP next week if you’re still worried - that’s what they’re there for and it might help put your mind at rest speaking to them :-)

Stabal · 10/07/2020 21:31

@Griff2020 hi! PCOS sufferer here and TTC for over 2 years before falling pregnant and miscarrying. Have you been referred to anyone for fertility tests? There's a lot of success stories with aspirin but I wouldn't recommend unless you've been tested for the blood clotting disorder which they will do if you go for fertility treatment. Do you ovulate? Are you on any supplements?

@Pippy20 yeah I think I will. I just don't like the thought of my cycle being messed about, it took years to get it regular. I might ask for bloods on certain cycle days to be repeated. Thanks for listening to my rants lol

Griff2020 · 10/07/2020 21:44

Hey they said I couldnt unless I had 3 miscarriages dont think they count the chemical pregnancies. I've had a few test but theyve all come back normal and the gynecology dr just says theres nothing wrong etc. I do ovulate but dont think its every month

Griff2020 · 10/07/2020 21:45

@Stabal did you get pregnant again after miscarrying.. have you been for any test?

CAG14 · 10/07/2020 22:47

@stabal I'm so sorry this is happening it must be stressful. I am no expert but it could be because you just had a chemical? Definitely speak to a doctor to put your mind at rest though. Have you ever spotted mid cycle before? Feel free to always rant here. We have a nice little support group here now.

@Griff2020 sorry to hear of your miscarriages and chemicals. It must be really hard for you. I hope you manage to get some support from the nhs

Stabal · 10/07/2020 22:49

@Griff2020 I'd recommend tracking to see which months you're ovulating. There's supplements like agnus castus or myo-inositol that can be helpful for PCOS hormone imbalance. My miscarriage was only at the start of May past, I was 9+2 weeks but baby measured 7. I'm fairly certain I had a chemical last month first cycle after the miscarriage and now this cycle things appear to be a bit messy so not sure what's going on. I was just beginning fertility treatment when I fell pregnant so I've had all the hormone and cycle date tests and was waiting on AF arriving to have an HSG when I found out I was pregnant. There's not much else they can do right now until 3 miscarriages like you say. I am still going to have the HSG done in case one tube is blocked and if they're clear then they'll hopefully do a laproscopy to remove my endometriosis and see if that helps!

Stabal · 10/07/2020 22:52

@CAG14 yeah it could be! I think I will give them a ring on Monday. I've never spotted before.. When my cycles were irregular I never really spotted either, it was always a full flow bleed for weeks/months on end or months with nothing

CAG14 · 10/07/2020 22:56

@stabal it is definitely worth speaking to them. I think having a miscarriage and then a CP will definitely play a part i'm sure. I was thinking but maybe I'm totally wrong here but how long after a miscarriage does HCG stay in the system? Maybe that affected the tests on your CP?

OP posts:
Stabal · 10/07/2020 23:05

@CAG14 no no you're not wrong, it can stay for a few weeks but I tested on the 29th May after I stopped bleeding and it was negative. I then had an appointment on the 1st of June with EPU and they tested my HCG levels and they were gone. Otherwise I'd be with you in thinking it was still the HCG levels with last months tests! Thankfully I had loads of appointments with EPU over the whole ordeal so they kept a good eye on me. It's all so stressful isn't it, why do we do it to ourselves haha Wine

CAG14 · 10/07/2020 23:11

@stabal I was thinking I'm sure you would have tested and thought about all this, but was just a thought and out of curiosity. God I feel for you as you have had such a roller coaster the last few months. I'm sure the spotting is nothing to worry about and just your body adjusting to everything. Sending you positive vibes and virtual wine!!! 🍷
