Pregnancy after MMC

Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately I had a MMC on our second pregnancy last month. (I have a 1 year old)
I should of been 9 weeks at my Scan but baby was only 8 weeks 4 so it had just happened. 3 days later I had a private D&C as I didn’t want to risk the hospital/ the trauma of dealing with it at home with my little boy.
I had bleeding on and off for 2 weeks after (6th of April was the D&C) I had regular bloody tests, my last one my HCG had come down to 70 so 3 days later I got my first negative test.
I had an internal to confirm no retained pregnancy and was given the all clear to try again straight away. I’ve had cystitis this weekend to add to my problems and now I’m getting this on my tests. Had anyone experienced anything similar, what are your thoughts? Feel like my body’s just giving up on me haha! I’d love to be pregnant again but I’d just be surprised if it could all happen within such a small time scale

@msanne ooooh not sure with that one! I'm the same as you - no experience with evap lines but fingers crossed it's a BFP!

@Tbug welcome! So sorry for your loss. I think the general 'advice' is to wait one cycle but I didn't, just waited until I felt 'ready.' Didn't catch last cycle but feel better having had first AF and knowing where I am with my cycle. Xo

@Tbug hey lovely, sorry for your loss. It's so awful but this thread has really helped me feel less alone at possibly the worse few weeks of my life. I personally didn't wait to dtd before my first AF. I took cd 1 from the first day I started bleeding. Mine was natural miscarriage too at 11 weeks. Think we waited for just over 2 weeks until bleeding had completely stopped.

OMG! I have absolutely no experience with these tests. Ive only ever used CB but I can 100% see 2 lines on that!😱I'm excited! Do another one! 😊

@msanne this Is going to be the longest 2 hours of my life. 🙈 Really want this for you. Would love some happy baby news. Have you showed it to your oh? What does he think?

@MrsTTobe - he is soooo anxious. I think he doesn't quite believe it and is scared at the same time, as now the wait until the 12 week scan starts (which is when we found out the bad news last time).

on the bright side though, although I have symptoms this time, I don't feel "bad". I felt shit from before I took the PT last time. So I am keeping my hopes up.

Here and waiting for your news lovely. @msanne I bet you're feeling nervous. It's only natural after everything we have all been through on here. But try to keep positive and countdown to that 12 week scan and then 20 week scan and then a beautiful healthy baby 🙏❤

Hey Ladies, I couldn't wait - I took a CB and it says "not pregnant" - must've been a false alarm! So gutted.

Am just going to have to wait out a few more days and see what happens. it all feels so cruel! xoxo

@msanne 😔 I can imagine. Ive honestly got pregnancy test anxiety. The thought of seeing a negative test terrifies me which is why I dont keep them in the house so I'm not tempted. Try to keep positive until AF shows up. It can take longer to get a bfp. Xx

Welcome @msanne Ahh I’m sorry, nothing worse. Was your MC just before this cycle? A short month seems to be very rare for everyone after a MC as your body just needs time. Maybe give it a another week before you test and an early morning wee. I think I had hormones left in my blood for nearly 5 weeks with those tests that I thought we positive on the very first test. It’s like a kick in the stomach ever time you get a negative. Just hold on you never know 😀 Xx

@Tbug welcome aswell hun. Sorry for your loss, i think as long as you get a definite positive then your good to go (that’s what my doc said) she said it was a waste of time DTD before that moment aswell and to save ourselves haha! But saying that someone people seem to get pregnant a week after so all depends on your body I guess. Have you had a negative? I can’t get back onto the previous page without loosing all this haha.

Still nothing girls or any symptoms! Day 50, I’ve been good and not taken a test yet. I’ve only got one first response left and I don’t want to waste it. I’m thinking Wednesday if I can hold out.

Hi @Bells993 - I had a termination back on the 25th March due to Edwards syndrome. I had once cycle already (confirmed by a negative PT) and AF showed up on the 25th April. This month AF was due on the 23rd but she still hasn't shown up.
I took out the strip from inside the CB digital yesterday and there was a faint line inside. Then when I tested this morning with FRER, no line. I have no idea what's going on. I have all the symptoms, I can feel my insides stretching but the tests are getting me nowhere.

I will wait until Friday - if not AF shows up I am going to go to the Dr's as it is not usual for my cycle to be so out of whack.

I've been reading about the "double hook syndrome" but it sounds rare and I don't want to get my hopes up. I just want to either be pregnant and have a straightforward pregnancy or start AF so I can reset myself.

Cd17 here and still no bloody peak ovulation day! Did a cheapy test as well this morning and the line was barely noticeable so I've either ovulated already much earlier than expected and CB didn't pick it up or not ovulated at all! We've DTD 6 times since last Sunday just to be sure 😂 I've freaked myself out by reading about short luteal phases - went down a bit of a rabbit hole so I've decided no more testing from today and will just see what happens. AF due around 5/6th June so we'll see! Xo

Hi ladies, just been catching up, sorry everyones cycles seem all over the place. Fingers crossed for some news soon.
So I have been at the hospital, not much more to report I have to wait to hear from charring cross. My local hospital did my bloods HCG at 12 (little confused as first response say they can pick up from 6.... I got a negative with that Wednesday.) I should hear from charring cross by next week they will request bloods and will keep monitoring untill they are happy with my hormone levels. I think in all honesty we are on hold TTC untill at least the Autumn....

So they didn't confirm or anything? What have they said to do? It's all so confusing for you.
Just take it day by day. When will it be you hear from Charring Cross? Xx

Morning ladies,

My breast pain eased yesterday to the point that when I squeezed them, they didn’t hurt (amazing as breast pain is the worst)
Woken up this morning and MY GOD they are killing me! I only have to touch them in the wrong way and they hurt!
I’ve also woken up feeling incredibly nauseous!🤢

I also had a dream last night that I was asleep in bed, woke up and had come on really heavy too. When I woke up, that was the first time I checked when I used the toilet. But nothing. Due on in 4 days

@Leaf87 - I hope you get your results speedily. I hate that they think you can wait, but I suppose the NHS is under a lot of pressure right now. At least you know if you start feeling off to go straight to the hospital, so it is good that you are aware of the possibility so that you can treat swiftly. I know it must be disappointing to put you ttc plans on hold; we all have these plans we make for ourselves and it sucks when we can't realise them. Plans never go to plan - the irony! I really hope they find out what's wrong and give you the all-clear soon xoxo

@MrsTtobe - today is day 4 past AF due date and still no sign of her. My cervix is really high and soft, but all I am getting are BFN. It is so shitty - I am really going to focus on not testing until Friday or something as I am literally throwing money down the sink. I must have ovulated later this month, that's all I can think of now....

@Chicken123 - symptoms are awful aren't they?! I don't have sore boobs but I have everything else. I am cramping all over (even my hands). Hopefully you will get your BFP in 4 days!

@msanne very annoying, however I do feel much happier knowing why I had a MMC alot of women never know the reason and that was one of the things I was really struggling with. Hoping my HCG levels reach under 5 within the next month.

@MrsTtobe yes confirmed partial mole pregnacey so now I just have to wait for charring cross to get in contact hopefully should be 5/7 days! I think I have to have 0-5 HCG levels for at least a month before they will sign you off. I am hoping we should be able to start TTC September time maybe. May as well sit back and relax for the summer!
I will of course be here for all you lovely ladies and hope we get baby news soon

@leaf87 just been re reading all of your posts. I’m so confused (I bet you are too) so you still have some HCG? You’ve had a AF aswell haven’t you. That’s crazy, I’ve never heard off all these things before, so sorry you are going through this. Just another smack in the face isn’t it. Try and keep postitive, have they given you a date to go back for your next one? It’s good they’ve managed to do this with everything that’s going on. Have they strictly told you to not get pregnant? Could you request a D&C to defo make sure everything’s out or does it not work like that? Xxx

@msanne try and keep positive and don't waste the week wishing it away to Friday. I feel like ive wasted so much life wishing the tww time away. That's 2 weeks of my life on hold every month and that's not good. 😔

@Chicken123 hope you're ok lovely. It is so stressful isn't it 😭 I'm CD 12 and thinking ive probably already ovulated and what's done is done for this month. It's an anxious time. Xx

I have promised myself that I will wait at least 48 hours before doing another test...hopefully one or the other will show up by then!
