Pregnancy after MMC

Bells993 · 04/05/2020 10:55

Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately I had a MMC on our second pregnancy last month. (I have a 1 year old)
I should of been 9 weeks at my Scan but baby was only 8 weeks 4 so it had just happened. 3 days later I had a private D&C as I didn’t want to risk the hospital/ the trauma of dealing with it at home with my little boy.
I had bleeding on and off for 2 weeks after (6th of April was the D&C) I had regular bloody tests, my last one my HCG had come down to 70 so 3 days later I got my first negative test.
I had an internal to confirm no retained pregnancy and was given the all clear to try again straight away. I’ve had cystitis this weekend to add to my problems and now I’m getting this on my tests. Had anyone experienced anything similar, what are your thoughts? Feel like my body’s just giving up on me haha! I’d love to be pregnant again but I’d just be surprised if it could all happen within such a small time scale
Thanks everyone

@Leaf87 oh my lovely I'm so sorry this is happening 💕 mine died off but has now come back. I've informed school to say I might not be in tomorrow and like you just sat on the sofa with my blanket watching telly. It's out of my control. DH said should we go back to hospital but I just thought there's no point if they wouldn't scan me yesterday they won't do it today. I'd rather just be comfy at home with mum round the corner if I need her. Have you got someone looking after you? Xxxxx

Bells993 · 31/08/2020 18:53

@Leaf87 @Frankincense88
I’m so sorry your going through this again girls. So awful for you both. Hopefully you can both get the answers you need this week now everything is back open and either way you can move forward. Life can be so cruel sometimes but stay positive one way or another you will get to where you want to be! Will only make you stronger ❤️❤️

@Frankincense88 my husband was the same I think he feels so helpless and has seen me cry so much this year he just doesn't know what to do.
I would rather be on the sofa and wait things out. I will go to my mums tomorrow, all ready told work I won't be in. I am shattered emotionally and physically.

Thank you @Bells993 💛💔💛

Frankincense88 · 31/08/2020 20:08

@Leaf87 that's a good idea and I completely understand about waiting it out at home. I keep running to the loo to see how much is coming out I'm so paranoid. I've told work I'll see how the land lies tomorrow but got a feeling I won't be in. It's so miserable isn't it? Sending you loads of 💕 and hugs xxxx

Frankincense88 · 01/09/2020 07:14

@Leaf87 how are things this morning lovely? I've had some fresh blood this morning but decided just to go to school and come home if it worsens. Don't feel hopeful at all. Been thinking about you xxxx

Leaf87 · 01/09/2020 08:22

@Frankincense88 very tired and sore but ok. Bleeding still reasonably heavy like a bad period. Hopefully being back at work will distract you and nothing gets worse today. 🙏💛

msanne · 01/09/2020 10:11

@Frankincense88 @Leaf87 - I am SO sorry that I haven't been online! My weekend has been crazy busy with another friends drama so I haven't had a chance to check my emails and hence see all of what's been happening.

First of all - I feel terrible that you are both going through this crappy, shitty time. It is a crazy scary thing to happen and I think you've both been incredibly brave and resilient in waiting now. You are Superstars! I am going to keep praying really hard for you that whatever happens, you can both move on with things. I am back online now and will be here for any of your updates as and when they come.

Sending you the biggest hugs ladies xoxoxo

Frankincense88 · 01/09/2020 18:22

@msanne @Bells993 thanks for your well wishes girls, really helps to know you're thinking of us. I went into school today and bled lightly all day - I wore a pad but nothing in it; only saw blood when I went for a wee and still no cramps or pain so I have the tiniest sliver of hope that maybe tomorrow won't be bad news but 95% of me is anticipating the worst.

Shock the EPU still hasn't phoned despite me being assured I'd hear from them Monday at the latest. If they'd just scanned me on Sunday when I was in A&E I'd have had some answers and it would have saved me 2 further days of stress. I have my private appt tomorrow at 2.30 so at least I will definitely know then. Please keep praying for me and hoping for good news because I really can't summon the energy to be positive 😢

@Leaf87 how has today been? I've been thinking about you all day xxx

Leaf87 · 01/09/2020 22:01

@Frankincense88 @Bells993 @msanne
Thank you all it does mean so much that you all care. Feeling OK today a bit of tummy ache and back ache but nothing unmanagable bleeding still pretty heavy.
So glad to hear yours hasn't been to bad today @Frankincense88 I have every single thing crossed and keeping positive for you. Please let us know what they say tomorrow 💛💛

msanne · 02/09/2020 09:25

@Frankincense88 - will be thinking of you this afternoon hun, I'm rooting that it is all ok. But, please know if it isn't you will get through it. It is the absolute cruelest thing to happen, and doesn't help when the hospital are dicking around about it....but we are all here for you xoxo

@Leaf87 - I hope you get some comfort at your mum's today. You've been so strong throughout this. I have got everything crossed for both of you.

Lots of hugs xoxo

Frankincense88 · 02/09/2020 15:27

@msanne @Leaf87 @Bells993 @MrsTtobe hi ladies, I have no idea how but it's still clinging on in there! Measuring 8+3 but quite a lot of bleeding and clots around the sac so if I have any more red bleeds I have to go straight to A&E. Managed to see everything abdominally rather than internally so pleased about that. Got a McDonald's on the way home because I've not eaten all day through anxiety 😭 xxxxx

msanne · 02/09/2020 15:34

@Frankincense88 - Thank God! Keep the faith and keep resting hun - it is so important that you don't stress (i know easier said than done) and take extra good care of yourself....I think you should probably not go to work for the short term too? I would be too anxious.

I hope that the reason for the bleeding is purely due to the internal bleed and I will keep everything crossed for you that it all stops soon.

Enjoy the mc'ds!! comfort food at its best.

Big hugs hun xoxo stay strong xoxo

Frankincense88 · 02/09/2020 16:07

@msanne I hope so too - I'm going into school tomorrow but I've told my Head I'll have to teach sitting down (which is my go to anyway 😂) and he's ordered me a footstool, what a legend! Going to book another scan for a couple of weeks' time just to check everything because I'm still so anxious! Xxx

Leaf87 · 02/09/2020 16:47

@Frankincense88 that is absolutely amazing news i am so happy make sure you rest and take care of yourself!! I have a scan Friday but I think its just yo check that everything is coming out nothing more. Will reset and try again 💛💛

MrsTtobe · 02/09/2020 16:58

Hey ladies,
First day back at work for me yesterday since March 18th. Very strange out there still! Trying to teach children from 2m away and not being allowed to leave the classroom is very difficult. But we're all finding a new normal aren't we. @Frankincense88 have you had your first day back today then? Hope it wasn't too bad and I'm so so happy that your little babba is doing well despite worrying you so much. They are really testing you already but a tough pregnancy means a little angel when they are here. ❤

@Leaf87 I literally have no words. Im just so so sorry and upset you're going through this. You have been through so so much already and you have been so strong and patient and positive. I know it must seem impossible right now but keep going. Literally have everything crossed for you and keeping you in my thoughts. ❤

@msanne @Bells993 how are you both feeling? Ive had dead legs for the last 2 days, Im not sure what it Is. Never had it before. We found out on Monday that it's another little girl. 💖

Sending you all lots of love xxx

Frankincense88 · 02/09/2020 19:51

@MrsTtobe hi love. Oh a little girl how lovely! What do you have already? How exciting! I was back yesterday but we've had 2 days of INSET and kids are back tomorrow... all 750 of them! 😬 looking forward to seeing them all though and meeting my new classes. I've got a free right before lunch as well so it shouldn't be too intense 😂 my first lesson is usually handing stuff out / going through organisation / banging on about expectations then the following lesson I'm straight in with content! Xxxx

MrsTtobe · 02/09/2020 21:33

@Frankincense88 thank you. I have a boy and a girl so we didn't mind either way although my daughter is by far harder work than my son ever was so hoping it's just her and not a 'girl' thing. 😂

We had training day Tues but head just let us just set our classrooms up etc as they hadn't been touched since March really. Then kids were in today. It was tough, a little girl in my class lost her mum to cancer recently and I struggled seeing her so upset. We've had all the bereavement training but in real life i can't say it helped. 😢
Good luck tomorrow, take it easy. You use that foot stool 😂 xxx

Frankincense88 · 03/09/2020 07:29

@MrsTtobe oh that's so sad 😢 we've had a few safeguarding things but no bereavements that I'm aware of. I'm just trying to force some breakfast down me before leaving but just don't fancy anything 😩 hoping today is relatively stress free but I can't see it happening. 4 lessons in the 4 corners of the school... I'll no doubt be fashionably late to everything from today onwards! Xxx

msanne · 03/09/2020 10:50

@Frankincense88 @MrsTtobe - good luck in school today ladies. You are amazing. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to deal with bereavement in children - i think i would just burst out into tears as it upsets me just thinking about these things. I hope you both have a relatively easy day which is easier on you both physically and psychologically.

@Leaf87 - how are you feeling today hun? Sending you big hugs xoxo

@MrsTTobe - How fantastic that it is a girl! I know that they're harder work but I really see that spark, fire and life in my little one that more than makes up for it!

@Bells993 - how are you doing hun? Hope you're still cruising :)

Here's to wishing us all an uneventful and chilled out day xoxo

msanne · 04/09/2020 11:31

@MrsTtobe @Frankincense88 @Leaf87 @Bells993

@Leaf87 - I think you have a scan today - thinking of you and sending you extra special hugs xoxo

How are you all doing today? I just wanted to give you all a quick update.

We've had our 16-week scan and found out that we're having a bouncing baby boy! All looks good for now, so long may that continue.

Hope you all get to have some rest over the weekend.

Lots of love xoxo

Leaf87 · 04/09/2020 14:47

@msanne thats amazing news on the boy! Yes has scan confirmed all has gone so thats good had bloods and repeat bloods sunday to make sure my hormone levels are going down. My husband has booked a private consultation on Tuesday i think he is finding it hard not speaking to anyone medical.

@MrsTtobe amazing news on the girl as well hope being back at work isn't to stressful. Times going so quickly won't be long untill these babies start arriving
@Frankincense88 how are you? Has the bleeding stopped

Bells993 · 04/09/2020 20:14

@Leaf87 so sorry hun! Hopefully your hormones come down quick so you can start again, I’m sure it won’t take you long again! So awful for you after everything you’ve been through but keep going! I promise you’ll get there! Keep us updated please! Hope your feeling okay in yourself? Xxxx

@msanne a boy!! Ekkkk exciting!! @MrsTtobe and a girl for you!! How lovely, a bestie for your other daughter! I have two brothers and always wished I could of had a sister!

I won’t be finding out so you’ll have to wait till March 🤣 all good here at the moment! Feel exhausted! My 17 month old is running me into the ground so that doesn’t help haha! I’ve got a bit of a belly on me now! Have either of you felt any movements yet? Xxx

@Frankincense88 how are you hun? Xxxxx

Hi ladies, what a week!

@Leaf87 really hope you're okay lovely - been thinking about you lots. Heavy bleeding stopped for me around Monday but since then I've had loads of horrible brown stuff and now pink... so not in the clear 100%. It's such a tricky time and I m still running to the loo every 5 mins to 'check'. The fact the sonographer said at my scan on weds that there was a fair amount of bleeding and clots near the sac does really worry me but I'm trying to take it just one day at a time.

@Bells993 I've had a bit of a nightmare week but things are starting to settle down. I really just want to get the next few weeks out of the way so I can start to relax a bit. Hospital phoned today and got hold of me - they've been ringing all week from a blocked number but I've been teaching and don't want to answer in the staff room in front of everyone but I've got an NHS reassurance scan on the 16th - 2 days after my booking appointment.

@msanne such lovely news about having a boy! Congratulations 💙

@MrsTtobe hope today was ok for you lovely - I've only taught 8 lessons this week and I'm shattered!! Xxx

MrsTtobe · 05/09/2020 08:52

@Leaf87 I'm so sorry. You sound an incredibly positive person and have kept me going at times when ive felt so anxious. What you've been through up to now is just horrible but try to keep focused on the end goal. You will get your baby. You're young and clearly very fertile so keep your mindset positive. ❤

@msanne aww how lovely. A little boy 💙 I'm sure your son was pleased. My son wanted a brother and boys are soooo much easier than girls in my opinion.😂 My daughter has aged me 10 years. 😂

@Bells993 thanks lovely, yes looking forward to seeing them grow up together 💖💖
Im really showing but I feel I just look fat rather than pregnant.😬 I'm not sure about movements. I swear I felt flutters around 14 weeks but I'm 17 now and can't say im feeling much! Think it was around 20 weeks with my daughter so hopefully soon. 🙏❤ How are you feeling apart from the tiredness?

@Frankincense88 I'm ok. We made it through the first week.😂 ive fallen asleep on the sofa every night this week by 8pm though.
Lovely to see the kids faces but tough listening to what some of them have been through. Also, noticed ive been getting a dead leg feeling in my legs if I stand for too long so trying to sit down as much as possible but it's tough with Primary kids as they constantly need you. X

msanne · 07/09/2020 13:00

Hey ladies,

Thank you for your well wishes :) xoxo

@Leaf87 - I've been thinking about you hun. You're so incredibly strong and as @MrsTtobe said, you are clearly fertile, and I'm sure you will have your rainbow baby soon. It must be difficult for your OH as I do think they tend to bottle it up; I think it's great that you've already recognized it and are dealing with it - that's the first step!

@Frankincense88 - how are you doing hun? Has the spotting stopped?

@Bells993 @MrsTtobe - hoping you're both doing ok? @MrsTTobe - don't worry about the fatness. I look about 6 months pregnant already. We went to a friends this weekend and we couldn't really keep it a secret any longer!

Lots of hugs xoxo
