Pregnancy after MMC

Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately I had a MMC on our second pregnancy last month. (I have a 1 year old)
I should of been 9 weeks at my Scan but baby was only 8 weeks 4 so it had just happened. 3 days later I had a private D&C as I didn’t want to risk the hospital/ the trauma of dealing with it at home with my little boy.
I had bleeding on and off for 2 weeks after (6th of April was the D&C) I had regular bloody tests, my last one my HCG had come down to 70 so 3 days later I got my first negative test.
I had an internal to confirm no retained pregnancy and was given the all clear to try again straight away. I’ve had cystitis this weekend to add to my problems and now I’m getting this on my tests. Had anyone experienced anything similar, what are your thoughts? Feel like my body’s just giving up on me haha! I’d love to be pregnant again but I’d just be surprised if it could all happen within such a small time scale
Thanks everyone

Aww your beautiful little babba @Bells993 😍😍
When is the official due date?
I know ive been so hardcore, almost 12 weeks without caving and going for a scan. I'm absolutely dreading Friday. I'm barely sleeping just going over and over different scenarios. 🙏

@msanne this nausea is no fun. Mine lessened a little last weekend while we were away and then I was even more stressed because I didn't feel nauseous. 🙈😂 But it's returned with a vengeance today 🤢😴 How are you feeling?

@Frankincense88 we know how hard it is. We can all help each other every step of the way. ❤ Take each day as it comes. How are you feeling?

@Leaf87 we are behind you every step of the way. 🙏

Where are you all from btw? Feels mad us all speaking but not knowing much about each other.
I'll start 😂 just gone 36, from Staffordshire, this will hopefully be child number 3.🙏❤ xx

Frankincense88 · 04/08/2020 21:24

@MrsTtobe feel absolutely normal - nothing really symptom wise except for an on/off headache and a stuffy nose! No cramps, no loss of appetite, no sore boobs and no tiredness which is what makes me slightly more anxious! But like you say we've got our support network and I just keep telling myself to take each day as it comes!

I'm 31, (32 next month) West Midlands / Welsh border and hoping this is baby #1! Xxx

Leaf87 · 05/08/2020 07:38

@Bells993 that scan picture 💛

@MrsTtobe I can not believe you are almost twelve weeks this year is flying in its maddness. I will keep you in my thoughts friday. I am sure it will all be fine. I was also born in Staffordshire!

@Frankincense88 I agree one more test then knock it on the head, sit back and try and relax!!

I am 33 hoping for our first baby and in Wales.

msanne · 06/08/2020 09:25

Ladies - i've missed everything over the past few days as I don't get notifications sometimes - arrggghh so annoying!

@Bells993 - what a great little scan picture - looks awesome and growing well :) You are sooooo lucky not to have any symptoms - long may this reign for you!

@Frankincense88 - I too stopped testing - eventually. I think I wasted a fortune - I kept doing the PT until I was 18 DPO I think - so for a week more than I needed to! I agree with the others, you know now - so try to relax.

OK - so now, for a bit about me. I think I am the oldest - 37 (eeekkkk) and live in Surrey. This will be number 3 and last one out of the building.

@MrsTtobe - scans in 24 hours - so nervous! Hoping it goes well for both of us. I suspect they may tell me to come back for a rescan if the baby isn't quite as big as they need it to be.....but let's see.

Sending you all lots of love xoxox

MrsTtobe · 06/08/2020 10:00

Same here @msanne absolutely shitting myself about tomorrow to put it bluntly.
I'm very emotional this week. I think the hiding it from everyone, the hormones and the feeling like crap 24/7 has caught up with me. Ive had a few little tears over 'nothing' this week. OH thinks im nuts for sure. 😂
I really hope and pray for us all for our little healthy babies to get here safe and well. ❤
Have you told anyone yet? OH wants to tell everyone tomorrow night (if everything is ok with the scan)🙏 but I think I need to get my little head around it all in my own little bubble first.
Im 12 week's today 😱 yet at no point so far have I allowed myself to enjoy being pregnant. Ive worried every minute of every day and a weekend to enjoy it on our own sounds like heaven. But we shall see. ❤

Hope the rest of you girls are all feeling ok?
@Leaf87 aww im so jealous you live in Wales, my OH lived in Gwynedd for a while in his teens and we love it there. We visit several times a year. Whistling Sands and Newborough beach are our absolute favourites. 😍 The dream is to retire there in a little cottage one day. 😊 xxx

msanne · 06/08/2020 13:32

@MrsTtobe - that's so normal hun...me too. Have burst out in tears, screamed at DH and just completely exhausted. It's normal, we are building tiny humans inside us and are expected in teh meantime to continue with work and house chores, plus being a decent mother and partner. it's hard enough doing one of those things let alone all of them!

We haven't told anyone yet...my mum's made a few comments about my weight (as mothers doI suppose) but I have not said anything to anyone. We are waiting until we know we get all the results. Hopefully, all being well, we will tell people around 13 weeks.

Big hugs ladies and look forward to more updates soon!

xoxo

Leaf87 · 06/08/2020 14:31

@msanne @MrsTtobe looking forward to scan updates soon. Go easy on yourself its hard and its ok to be grunpy and tired sometimes!!

@Frankincense88 how are you feeling??

Well ladies I tested this morning on first response (AF due Monday...) BFN...i then felt annoyed with myself for testing..... i don't feel pregnant. Had a few symptoms but could be nothing... have to wait and see what Monday brings.

msanne · 06/08/2020 15:01

Hey @Leaf87 - hold out....i know it's difficult but it's only a few more days. Also, this is your first cycle of trying after a long slog - give yourself some time and I am sure it will happen soon :) fingers and toes crossed for you!

I saw this on another thread and wanted to post it here - it is something we should always remind ourselves of xx

Frankincense88 · 06/08/2020 15:01

@Leaf87 still totally symptomless and don't even feel pregnant 😂 it's really hard trying to keep myself distracted and not let my mind jump to conclusions so I've done a bit of work in the garden today and going to make a cake later on to keep myself busy. Don't worry too much about your BFN, how many DPO are you today? I'm a nightmare for testing early so I feel you! Xxx

Frankincense88 · 06/08/2020 15:02

@msanne I needed to read that!! Xxx

Bells993 · 06/08/2020 18:54

Hey girls! Sorry I don’t know why I don’t get emails sometimes to notify me!

Ekkkk your scans are tomorrow!!! So excited for you both! @msanne have you had a scan yet to know how far you are or will you get a date tomorrow? I can’t remember 🙈

@MrsTtobe ekkk how has it been 12 weeks! I can’t believe it! Can’t wait hear the good news!

Can’t believe how lucky the group has been! So rare!

@Leaf87 hold out hun! Good times are coming for you too 😍😍🤞

You know I said I had no Symptoms, well wow I feel SOOOOO tired 🤣🤣 my boobs have doubled today I think l haha! I think this one is a girl! (Already have a 15 month old son) I’m not going to find out either, we didn’t work him so I’m going to keep the surprise! Defo started to relax a little more this week! I think only because my gyno was so positive about the baby this time round xxx

Leaf87 · 06/08/2020 22:36

@Frankincense88 according to my app I am 10 days DPO so I am not holding my breath for this month. However last time I didnt get a positive test untill a day after my missed period so I suppose there is still a chance.... 😬
Glad to hear your feeling OK tho.

Good luck for tomorrow girls!

Frankincense88 · 07/08/2020 06:31

@Leaf87 as they always say - you're not out until AF arrives! Both times with me I didn't get a hint of a line until 11-12DPO and even then it was very faint so you never know!

So... I caved and added a clearblue digital to my Sainsbury's order and did it about 5 mins ago thinking it'd say 1-2 weeks or at a push 2-3.... nope, 3+! Starting to take that twins comment a bit more seriously now @Bells993 😂 interestingly twins do run in my family but on my dad's side and I think it has to be on your mum's side or something but who knows?!

Good luck with your scans today ladies, sending lots of 💕 xxx

MrsTtobe · 07/08/2020 11:37

@msanne hey how did the scan go lovely?
I literally am just wondering around the house aimlessly. I'm just absolutely terrified. Ive got scanaphobia if that's such a thing. Between that and my sudden toilet phobia im a bloody nervous wreck.
Looking forward to hearing from you. ❤ xxx

MrsTtobe · 07/08/2020 11:43

@Frankincense88 omg that's amazing. Lots of hcg going on there. A part of me would love twins and watching them grow up together but to go from 4 to 6 sounds like pure chaos. 😂
Have you decided what you're going to do about an early scan lovely?
How fast is this 6 week's going! 😭 xx

msanne · 07/08/2020 11:57

Hey ladies,

So i've had my scan but not my SAFE test - the hospital cocked up....so I have to go in again this afternoon - sigh....I am sometimes flabbergasted at how badly organised things are. They had me waiting for nearly 2 hours this morning before asking me to come back.

Overall - my scan went as well as could be. I saw our little bean with his heart pumping away which made me smile. I am only 10 +2 so can't tell on all the risk factors yet but so far so good.

I will update you all once I am back this evening.

Good luck @MrsTtobe - you are going to do GREAT!

Frankincense88 · 07/08/2020 11:58

@MrsTtobe I'm just hoping it's a good sign - in all honesty it has made me feel a bit more relaxed seeing 3+. Just hope it continues! I have definitely got scanophobia - part of me wants to wait until 12 weeks but that is my birthday week so don't want it tainted should there be bad news, plus I'll be back at school and don't really want to tell them until I have to. The other part of me thinks maybe book a private one right at the end of the holidays which gives me a few days to deal with the outcome and know what's what. Still haven't phoned the midwife I'm too scared I'll jinx it!

Holidays are going way too fast! How are we already half way? It's results day in a couple of weeks though and I'll get to see all of my lovely Year 11s I couldn't say goodbye to when I was instructed not to come back in in March! Xxx

Bells993 · 07/08/2020 15:24

@msanne eurgh what a nightmare!! Hopefully good news as your scan looked great 🤞🥰

@Frankincense88 no way! That’s exciting 🤣🤣 more excited for your scan than my next one now! I’d LOVE twins! I’d be done if I had one of each haha! I’d defo go in for an early one before you go back! Plus I want to know if it’s twins haha!

@MrsTtobe any news for us?
Xxxxx

@Leaf87 hold out another few days! Maybe a take a test on holiday with you xxxx

MrsTtobe · 07/08/2020 16:23

Hello ladies... say hello to my perfect little jumping bean. Measuring a few days ahead too at 12+6 so apparently 13 weeks tomorrow 😱😱
I absolutely cried my eyes out to the poor sonographers, they were so lovely and even put covid to one side and gave me the biggest hug.

God what a day.
@msanne that's great news everything was ok on the scan and so far so good. I don't think any of us are actually going to relax any time soon but I'm forcing myself to have an evening stress free. I also really need to order some trousers that fit because I didn't want to tempt fate ive been squeezing into the same 2 pairs of trousers every day. 🙈😂

MrsTtobe · 07/08/2020 16:25

Would help if I uploaded the picture 🙈😂 #babybrain

Frankincense88 · 07/08/2020 20:57

@MrsTtobe ahhh what a perfect picture! Love it. Glad everything went well! I think I've decided I'll go for a scan at the end of the holidays, there's space on Sunday 30th and I can take DH but won't book it until last minute just to be safe. Xxx

Leaf87 · 07/08/2020 21:00

@MrsTtobe amazing!!! So happy for you!!!
I have a test with me but not holding out much hope! I have been drinking pressco with family and friends on the beach and decided not to think about it for a few days. What will be. .. Will be....

msanne · 08/08/2020 07:47

@MrsTtobe - CONGRATULATIONS - little bean looks very comfy and perfect. You have passed a milestone now, so you must relax and try to enjoy this as much as possible...you deserve it! You've had such willpower waiting this long for a scan I think it is bloody amazing - you can do anything!
@Leaf87 - enjoy your weekend away - sounds lovely and I think your approach is the best xx

I went back to the hospital yesterday and had my bloods taken for the SAFE test - the midwife was trying to convince me not to take it! I was so done by this point, i think I shocked her with how blunt I was so she ended up quietly taking the tests and sending me home - I find out in 7 days apparently.

Enjoy the weekend ladies - it is going to be a hot one! Paddling pools at the ready lol!

xoxox

Bells993 · 08/08/2020 08:28

@MrsTtobe AMAZING NEWS!!! so what is your official due date!? Congratulations hun!

@msanne glad you got it done! Honestly why would someone even challenge it! I’m sure everything will be perfect!

I’m having my Downs & harmony test in 3 weeks so I’ll be 11 weeks 5 days but they said this was fine! Might be a loon and squeeze one last test in at 10 weeks which is next Sunday at a cheaper clinic this time though🙈

My due date is March 13th!

@Leaf87 you deserve a few drinks! Have a lovely holidays!

@Frankincense88 good idea 🥰 roughly how many weeks will you be then? Xx

Frankincense88 · 08/08/2020 08:40

@Bells993 I don't actually know because since I've seen the 3+ on the CB it's made me wonder if I actually ovulated earlier! I usually never ovulate before day 16 but tbh it's usually more like 17-18 but the CB saying 3+ means I conceived on day 14-15. Obviously I didn't track this month so have no idea but Sunday 30th I'll either be 8+1 or 7+5 thereabouts! So hopefully will get to see something all being well 🤞🏼 still completely symptomless but seeing the 3+ have given me some hope.

Enjoy the weekend ladies - I do not cope well in the heat at all with my pale skin so will be in the shade for the best part of the weekend 😂
