Pregnancy after MMC

Hi Everyone,
Unfortunately I had a MMC on our second pregnancy last month. (I have a 1 year old)
I should of been 9 weeks at my Scan but baby was only 8 weeks 4 so it had just happened. 3 days later I had a private D&C as I didn’t want to risk the hospital/ the trauma of dealing with it at home with my little boy.
I had bleeding on and off for 2 weeks after (6th of April was the D&C) I had regular bloody tests, my last one my HCG had come down to 70 so 3 days later I got my first negative test.
I had an internal to confirm no retained pregnancy and was given the all clear to try again straight away. I’ve had cystitis this weekend to add to my problems and now I’m getting this on my tests. Had anyone experienced anything similar, what are your thoughts? Feel like my body’s just giving up on me haha! I’d love to be pregnant again but I’d just be surprised if it could all happen within such a small time scale

Not late yet - due to have AF either on 26th or the 30th (date varies according to app). Feeling odd, not sure if this is the impending AF or a BFP! Fingers crossed for the latter!

hahaha @Bells993 - you are a trooper! I hope it has stuck! I feel the same - we did it for 6 days straight and I thought, if this hasn't taken then I need to do something - maybe lose some extra weight! I have piled on nearly 8 kg since lockdown began.

@Frankincense88 thanks I am ok, looking forward to good news soon girls! I am still following you all! I am ok, my blood tests were delayed last week due to postal failure!! Finally had then today so hoping I should get the results by friday!

Am officially in the TWW. Think I ovulated last night as had cramps on one side in the evening and have DTD Sat, Sun, Mon and today so fingers crossed!

When are you testing @bells993? I think if I haven't come on by 5/7 I'll start then! Xx

Hey @Frankincense88 - sounds to me like you've done the absolute best you can. Let the countdown begin!

So I've attached some pics of some HPTs. The top IC is from 9dpo, the middle one and the FRER is from this morning. I think there is a very faint line appearing - BUT totally am not convinced as last month I am sure I had a similar line and then nothing!

On the plus side - this month I am not late with AF (she is due either on the 28th or the 30th depending on which app).
I will take another FMU first thing tomorrow and hopefully, that line will get darker....fingers crossed!

I have symptoms that keep coming and going. I feel totally normal one minute and then the next minute, sick to my bones....I am hoping we know by the end of the week at the latest as the suspense is too much and I can barely sleep!!

@Bells993 🤣🤣🤣 bless you, it's hard work isnt it all this ttc business. That's exactly how I felt, i said to oh if we haven't conceived after all that dtd I will be raging. 🙈🤣

I'm doing ok thanks girls. 😊😘 Thank you all for asking. I called the Drs today so midwife will be in touch. It's actually going by quite quickly. Im 6 week's pg on Thursday! Still got my toilet anxiety but im coming round to what will be will be. 😊😘

@MrsTtobe it's been intense and knackering (especially as Y10 aren't doing the prep work / follow up work required or handing stuff in to mark) but only 3 more weeks and it'll be the summer holidays 😂

@msanne so excited for you! I'm very much thinking that when it happens for me again I'm just going to try to enjoy it and like you say, what will be, will be. Easier said than done though haha xxx

@Frankincense88 I was thinking about testing on Monday the 13th, nearly 3 weeks away. If I don’t come on before then of course, I know it’s longer than the TWW but my Cycle in December and January were 45/50 days both months for some weird reason so I don’t want to see a negative test again. I’ll probably cave before then but that’s my plan haha! Trying to wait as long as possible and hope for a positive xxx

I've attached a progression of my HPT's; the top 3 tests are from my post yesterday and the bottom two (one IC and one FRER) are from FMU (11dpo) today. Both results came up within 1 minute and have a slight twinge of pink to them. They're not as dark as I would like them to be, but they are progressing - so am hopeful that the pregnancy is moving forward in the right way.

I showed my hubby this morning - and whilst he is happy, I don't think he will accept anything is happening until we get the almost-clear at 12 weeks ( I think only post 20 weeks will be when I relax)! I understand his point of view as the heartbreak is too much otherwise.

@MrsTtobe - time has flown by hasn't it?! you are halfway through your first trimester! Crazy, in a good way! Keep on going and make sure you keep us updated on all the doctor's visits etc xx

@Bells993 - those are long cycles! At least you have a date to work towards. This month, I honestly feel like the CB OPK did their job - I would have missed my Peak days otherwise (as I ovulated a lot later than my apps thought I did). I did obsess by watching wayyyyy too many TWW YouTube videos but I learnt lots of new things from each one. I found that by logging all my symptoms on the apps also stopped me obsessing as I was able to compare them against what I had logged the previous month.

@Frankinsence88 - I don't think I will believe anything is set in stone until I see the words "pregnant" on a CB test - I am waiting until tomorrow morning (12 dpo) to do this. Keep us posted on your TWW xoxo

Thank you @Bells993 and @Leaf87. I caved and took a CB digital - I saw the words. Pinching myself and am so elated and happy. I hope this baby sticks in a good way. I've had absolutely no symptoms today other than lots of hunger so long may that continue!

AF due around 16th July if we keep on schedule so fingers crossed we may even catch in July you never know!!! I am very happy.

I'm ok, just feeling v.impatient and only 5DPO. Trying not to symptom spot. I felt really negative last month but much more positive this month just trying not to get my hopes up too much though 😩 such a frustrating time!

Hello lovely ladies, had a crazy few days so only just managed to get on and see what's been happening.
@msanne I'm so so so so happy for you. It's such a surreal feeling isn't it. It still doesn't feel real after everything we've been through. How are you feeling?

Having a good weekend thanks girls! Keep changing my mind if I want to test like a mad man come 10 DPO or if I want to be sensible and make me a few weeks and just enjoy not worrying about it. As nice as it is to find out early I keep thinking the longer I wait the closer to that 3 months I’ll get!
But that’s all wishful thinking if I even get a positive this month!

@Bells993 I'm going to try and hold out for another week before I test 😬 last time I tested at 10DPO and had nothing, then tested again at 13DPO and got a positive so if I start early now I'll just torture myself! It's so hard though 😩 how many DPO are you now? Xxx

@Frankincense88 I know that’s the hard thing isn’t it! A it’s a waste of money & B it’s torture! With my first I didn’t track my ovulation but after my missed period I didn’t get a positive for 16 days! I think I tested every day haha!

I’m 7 days today! Only two days ahead of you xxxx

@Bells993 we're actually only 1 day apart! I'm 6DPO today! Fingers crossed! I went to home bargains at 8am yesterday (first time in a shop since Feb!) and bought some clearblue tests as they're £4.99 for 2 tests compared to £7 on Amazon. Going to wait until I'm late to use them though. I must have spent near to £200 last time because I was checking every day until my MMC. So expensive but the irrational part of your brain just takes over! Xx

I'm ok thank you @Bells993 I'm not sure if it's going quickly or really slowly. 😂 6+3 today and every single night I thank god I've got through another day. My anxiety is on and off. I have one good positive day and then a bad day where I picture everything going wrong that can go wrong and I'm running to the toilet every 5 minutes convinced i can feel bleeding. 😔 It's exhausting. 😂
Been feeling really tired and bang on 6 weeks started feeling really nauseous. We had chicken nachos last night and had to give all my chicken to oh. Just looking at it was turning stomach. 🙈

@Bells993 -It is cool that you are @Frankinscence88 are so close to testing! Are you still resisting the urge to POAS?! You are more patient than me! I have been testing just to make sure my lines are getting darker lol! I'm absolutely petrified that my HCG is not rising fast enough (this was the first indicator in my last pregnancy that something wasn't right). The plan is to check on another CB digital on Wednesday (a week on from my original BFP) and hopefully see my weeks increase on the monitor.

@MrsTtobe - hurrah for symptoms eh?! I think it is a good sign :) Means things are doing what they need to do. I am cherishing every part of this pregnancy, as I know it will be my last, and it is bittersweet because of what happened before. It makes me very grateful to feel every symptom at the moment (even though it meant I was going to pee every 30 mins last night)! My symptoms are also starting to kick in, but I feel well overall :)

I can't shake the feeling of twins this time round - no idea why. But it is stuck in my head - i suppose we will find out in a few weeks!
