Hello Ladies.

I’m mid 30s ttc my first. I was on the depo before, I know that causes issues to fertility and it will take longer. It was three months before my periods came back but I’ve been regular as clockwork since. Fairly certain I’m ovulating (lot of signs pointing to it) but still no baby. Im due again in the next couple of days and I can tell I’m going to come on.

I tried with my ex a few years ago for 7/8 months (although it was a very half hearted and not really a surprise it didn’t happen.) I wanted a baby for different reasons back then and got very upset every month. I was determined not to get as upset and try be more relaxed with my new partner but I’m starting to find it hard.

How do you cope with the disappointment of another failed cycle?

Morning ladies how are we all?

@Twinkletoes85 been thinking about you has af arrived or are you testing again?

I’m Cd22 today and started taking the seven seas trying for a baby in a last min hope it might help. Only thing going on with me at the moment is loss of appetite, when I do eat I feel a bit sick. If I stand up for too long I come over in a flush and feel sick. A strange one is my skin is so itchy, I remember when I was pregnant with my son my boobs were stupidly itchy before I tested. This might all be wishful thinking 🤞

Twinkletoes85 · 13/05/2020 08:35

Morning @lindsey02 still not af! 4 days late now according to my app, 6 according to me. I don’t really feel due or pregnant so no idea what’s going on. I’ll have to go to boots for another test now so I’m going to wait a bit.

That’s interesting! How far along were you with your son before you got the bfp? Fingers crossed you’ve got a bfp on the way!

Thank you @twinkltoes85. You are right. I'm going to have a me day and think of all the blessings I have in life. I need to keep looking forward and believe it will happen when the time is right. I just never thought it would be this hard to fall pg and hoped cycle 6 was going to be the lucky one! Nevermind. I'm thankful for this group ❤️ positive baby vibes to you all.

@lindsay02 they sound like positive signs. I will keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞

PinkFlamingoGirl · 13/05/2020 08:49

@twinkltoes85 have you had late AF before? Maybe you were too early testing 🤞. It's frustrating when you have no other signs or symptoms and it's also frustrating when you do. Rollercoaster. How are you feeling about it all?

Twinkletoes85 · 13/05/2020 09:03

@PinkFlamingoGirl that sounds like a good plan! It will happen, I know what you mean though. I’m not sure any of us expected it to be difficult or take more than a month or so. tv etc has a lot to answer for in terms of expectations!

Had anyone used the clearblue ovulation tests with the flashing smileys? This is day 4 I've had flashing smileys is that normal?

beachbum85 · 13/05/2020 09:37

@PinkFlamingoGirl sorry to hear AF is on the way, I hope your 'you day' helps you feel better. I agree, no matter how realistic we try to be, it's still going to be disappointing... and it's OK to feel that way. Hoping next month will be the month x

@Lindsey02 sounds promising! Keep us posted... when will you test?

@Twinkletoes85 great to hear AF is still not here although not knowing what's going on must be pretty hard!

Sending you all very best wishes!

Twinkletoes85 · 13/05/2020 09:42

@PinkFlamingoGirl I tried with an ex 4 years ago and one month it was cd40 when I came on so I’ve got that in my mind a bit. Every other period then was regular. Ive been regular this time too so far.

I’ve got sore boobs a bit but then I get that before af and it only started a couple of days ago so I could just be late and due on? I was late when I tested but after a quick google that’s apparently as much of a minefield as the rest of it.

One lady was 16 weeks and had a scan to prove she was pregnant as still wasn’t getting bfp at home 😱 (I realise that’s really rare and unlikely but can you imagine!)

@KK251289 I haven’t personally but I know a couple of the ladies were talking about them earlier (page 3 of that chat I think) and 4/5 days of flashing smileys sounds normal from what they said.

@twinkletoes85 thank you, I'll have a look back. I'm new to this thread! Feels like after 9 months of trying I'm going insane!!

Twinkletoes85 · 13/05/2020 09:57

@KK251289 welcome to the thread! Everyone on here has been trying for a few months now and we all know how you feel. Are you trying for your first?

OP posts:
KK251289 · 13/05/2020 10:08

@Twinkletoes85 Thank you. Yes trying for our first. I didnt think it would take this long at all 😔. Seems like everyone around me it's happened for so quickly. I've been with my partner for 11 years, we saved, brought our first house with 2 bedrooms, then the plan was to start trying for a baby, but I'm so scared itll never happen when it's been in our plans for so long. Sorry if I've missed it in earlier threads, are you trying for your first.

Twinkletoes85 · 13/05/2020 10:14

@KK251289 I know exactly how you feel. I do know a few people who it’s taken a while for but it doesn’t make it any easier.

It is frustrating when you’ve made sure you’re financially ok and ready for it then it doesn’t happen that quickly.

Yes my first too.

H

PinkFlamingoGirl · 13/05/2020 10:44

Oops didn't mean to send H!

I tried to put a message on before with pics but it didn't work (I think because I need to be on this for 28 days and last month I deleted my email and cancelled my account in frustration).

Anyways, I said that I was sitting on my couch drinking my coffee (decaff) and I became aware of my nipples feeling hot!

I thought screw it im going to do a frer. Now I am freaking out because I can definitely see a second, light line! It came up at about 3 mins. I wish I could attach a photo. It is very faint but I have never had anything other than a stark white. 10dpo. Boobs totally fine yesterday. Like I say, the nipples are just ever so slightly hot. Can't explain it. They feel different.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up but oh my this is an emotional rollercoaster!

Twinkletoes85 · 13/05/2020 10:49

@PinkFlamingoGirl thats exciting!! Do you have an imgur account or anything you could put it on and link us to? (I think that’s a way of doing it!)

I really hope that it’s your bfp!!

I switched to decaf tea yesterday just in case. Wasn’t as bad as I expected haha

@PinkFlamingoGirl this sounds great I’d love to see.

This itching is driving me insane today, it’s started around this time when I was pregnant with my son. I just don’t want to get my hope up.

I was watching the program on bbc1 last night with my OH showing women giving birth etc and I realised the whole time I had my hands on my stomach Blush

Bree2212 · 13/05/2020 11:17

@Twinkletoes85 I really hope this is it for you! How many days late are you now?

I know it’s hard not to get your hopes up but surely any kind of second like is a positive no matter how faint it is?! You need to find a way of posting the image x

PinkFlamingoGirl · 13/05/2020 11:17

I started drinking decaff in Jan. I have one normal and then a couple to a few decaffs thought the day. I really like the taste of the one I have so I'm quite happy with that.

I didn't know you could do that.

Try this

Let me know if you can see anything or if I'm going crazy 🙈

Bree2212 · 13/05/2020 11:18

@PinkFlamingoGirl sorry I tagged the wrong person ...Blush

Bree2212 · 13/05/2020 11:19

@PinkFlamingoGirl I can see the line

Twinkletoes85 · 13/05/2020 11:34

@PinkFlamingoGirl I can see a faint line when I zoom in! Definitely try again in a couple of days or go get one of the digital ones that spells it out for you.

I’m excited for you! I hope this is it!!

OP posts:
PinkFlamingoGirl · 13/05/2020 11:40

I am going to try and leave it two days and see what happens. I have literally felt a wide range of emotions this morning. Trying to keep it cool and not get too excited. 10dpo is very early but it's the closest in 6 cycles I've come 🤞

Twinkletoes85 · 13/05/2020 11:42

@PinkFlamingoGirl I’m wishing you all the luck!!

OP posts:
Nat4392 · 13/05/2020 11:51

@PinkFlamingoGirli can see a bit of a line! Like you said it’s still early so hopefully you’ll know more in a few days.
Wishing you all the luck in the world 💕

PinkFlamingoGirl · 13/05/2020 11:53

Thanks for your feedback girls. I know it's still super light so fingers, toes and everything else crossed. Time will tell xx
