Hello Ladies.

I’m mid 30s ttc my first. I was on the depo before, I know that causes issues to fertility and it will take longer. It was three months before my periods came back but I’ve been regular as clockwork since. Fairly certain I’m ovulating (lot of signs pointing to it) but still no baby. Im due again in the next couple of days and I can tell I’m going to come on.

I tried with my ex a few years ago for 7/8 months (although it was a very half hearted and not really a surprise it didn’t happen.) I wanted a baby for different reasons back then and got very upset every month. I was determined not to get as upset and try be more relaxed with my new partner but I’m starting to find it hard.

How do you cope with the disappointment of another failed cycle?

Thank you ladies for your support. I really appreciate it. Forced myself to be busy today seeing family at a large distance of course & met a friend that I hadn’t seen for a while for a socially distanced walk. We had a good chat & a few things she said to me about the whole TTC situation has helped.

I’m not gona test anymore this month & will wait for AF. Starting to get a few niggles so can tell it’s coming anyway.

I defo think I need to stop obsessing over it. It’s not doing my mind any good & I’m stressing myself out. I need to find a way to calm down & trust my body will do what it needs to when the time is right.

So here’s to month 7 & me trying to chill out!

You'll get there @justjen87! Hopefully we all do! I'm heading into month 9 now! I just keep thinking the odds mean that my bfp is getting closer and closer!

@justjen87 really sorry about the BFN, it might just be too early to test.

AF is due for me on Thursday, I know it's on it's way and for some reason this month has been the most disappointing! I just want her to hurry up and arrive now so I can get over it and start again.

I took an early clearblue test today and got a BFN I'm not sure why I even bothered as I knew AF is on its way but guess it was torturing me too much this month. I'm not sure why its bothered me so much. We started trying in September (we'd in all honesty probably missed the timing in September) but I think in my mind that if it had happened straight away I'd nearly have a baby here.

@Twinkletoes85 that's great! I find as well the apps don't fully predict as they are averaging my cycles when really they are quite varied so those sticks are great

@kk251289 sorry to hear that. I find it gets worse each month too. I'm the same I'm always calculating my due date and planning different things around it! Chin up, it will happen soon x

@KK251289 sorry your test was negative. I know what you mean about it torturing you. Almost like you try to convince yourself the on coming AF pains aren’t that & try to think positive. Big hug to you. Hope next month is your month hun x

@KK251289 sorry about your BFN - it’s so hard not to test early. Last month was the first month (cycle 10) that I managed to resist and have tried to change my mindset a bit to stop torturing myself each month.

@KK251289 sorry about your bfn. It’s hard when it plays on your mind. It’s the second guessing every symptom and just needing to know isn’t it? I’ve used all my tests and not bought anymore so I can’t test early this month.

@Fifol @justjen87 @dsc1 thank you for your kind words and support. I feel better everytime I come on here it's so strange. I know I'm not on my own and the way I feel most of you feel the same pattern as me. I'm going to try and drink extra water this month, change my tea to decaf and see if it helps. I'm now onto my 11th month of TTC (12th cycle)
I had high hopes this month, a few new symptoms, but I set myself up for a fall!
I've got 2DC already but 1st with OH.
We took a home fertility test and it confirmed it looked like something is up with his sperm. Doctors we're going to get him tested before lockdown 😖

@Twinkletoes85 @KK251289 thanks guys! Just weird not seeing it yet as I've magically extended my cycle by taking agnus castus so it's weirding me out a bit but yes I'm sure it'll arrive in the next couple days.
Sorry to hear of your bfn but as everyone always says ur not out until af shows @KK251289 but I know exactly what you mean by the dates. We too started in sept, well came off the pill in sept and we shoulda done it more right away but I stupidly was waiting for my periods to come bk so suppose we really and truly started in Oct.

I’m sorry to hear that there might be a problem. Did they say what they think it might be? There’s some other girls on here who we’re waiting on tests when lockdown started. It’s rubbish that it’s delayed so many things

@EThreepwood of course you can join us, welcome to the group. I'm sorry to hear about the fertility test. Has your other half managed to speak to the GP over the phone about it.

@notyetamumbuttrying thank you, I've still got a small hope but its slowly fading. Originally we were going to start trying this July because that's when our mortgage was going to decrease after owning our place for 2 years, but we decided to start earlier as I thought I'd still get full pay from work until July 2020 anyway even if I fell straight away. Maybe its fate I was always supposed get pregnant in July (it's what I'm convincing myself of now anyway)

I haven't posted for a while but I've caught up on messages and it's lovely to see some BFPs in the group

After following the SMEP to the tea this month, I don't think I've ovulated, which is frustrating - has this happened to anyone? So I got my static smiley on CD 11, but I'm on CD19 now and I havent had any sustained BBT rises this month, I have always got them before. The only thing I did differently this month was to take Agnus Castus until CD11.I'm going to stop taking my temp for the rest of this cycle as it's just stressing me out. x

I'm taking agnus too @Kitttycatt and getting fearful I won't get my ovulation! I heard it's good to take it up until that day. I'm cd10 today and would usually ov today as I have short cycles. I'm hoping I don't have to wait too much longer as it's kinda freaking me out now. I'll let you know if I get mine or not.

@KK251289 I know what you mean about hope fading but we gotta keep strong! I've got in my head that I'll likely fall in the next three months cos that's within the year of ttc then and odds are now with us rather than against!

Just caught up on the chat! Good luck to those of you who are in your f/w and those who are dpo. Keeping my fingers crossed for you all.

Totally relate to the coming off the pill thing. I came off my pill in October and I wish I had sooner. Didn't try until December and kinda lost track that month, think I missed me f/w. A lot of my friends fell on the first month, second month so I was really hoping we'd be the same...sadly not lol! Anyways, like someone said...it's exciting as statistically we are getting closer to our BFP!! Hopefully, all going well. That's exciting right?

I know how soul destroying the appearance of AF or BFN is though. Sorry to you ladies who have had this, this month. Although I'm super positive this month, I'll be gutted if it's not the time but reallllly trying to draw on the positives in life in general and stay in good mindset!

I'm CD9. Last few months I've not ov until CD 18ish...but I just having a feeling it might happen sooner this month. Wonder if I'll be right.

I'm going to try and drink loads of water this month and light it on my tracker. Apparently being dehydrated doesnt help. Not sure how true it is but something else to try.

I’m CD11 and got a positive OPK which is surprising as I didn’t ovulate til CD15 last month. Told DH he won’t be getting a break now for a couple of days! 🙈
Don’t think I’ll take Agnus Castus again next cycle, I don’t like my cycle being all up in the air! Unless my LP gets significantly longer that is...
