rowingboat · 03/06/2008 21:26

X-serial, thank you for taking a break from your sticks. !
So are these to predict ovulation or preggo sticks?
There are quite a few people there who have just posted a couple of times or haven't been on here for a while and may now be having triplets, so let us know how you are doing!!!
I'm on cd 16, but it feels like longer. I have a feeling I put the wrong info into FFriend, so this might not actually be 16.
Was hugely tired today, which could be a symptom, but also sat up watching 'Mad Men' last night, so this could also be a contributing factor.
Was feeling quite positive yesterday, but not so much today. We almost certainly cannot afford IVF without getting our family involved in funding and we don't want to do that.

heron22 · 04/06/2008 08:01

hi rowing, fingers crossed for you!

herbaceous · 04/06/2008 14:28

Hi girls.

Approach this month is no EPO or agnus castus, as when I took them my cycle went haywire, but pregnacare and OPKs. Need to start shagging soon - on cd10.

DP needs some re-education - just as AF ended last week, he said 'is now a good time for baby-making rudes?' Not sure what's the best policy: keeping him innocently ignorant, or painfully aware of the 'best time'.

xserialshopper · 04/06/2008 15:02

Hi everyone

Rowing - they're clearblue monitor sticks (ovulation). Hopefully I'll be peeing on the pregnancy sticks at the end of this month.

Heron - isn't your 'holding hands' thread lucky!!!!! I would join it but me thinks it would all go down hill then so I'll just lurk

Herbs - best of luck for this month. I'm on cd10 today as well, so we're cycle buddies. Join me in bding (not literally) on days 12, 14, 16, 18, 20

Go on ladies - update the list with ttc#?

heron22 · 04/06/2008 15:04

hi herb, hmmmm, this is a difficult one. if you keep him ignorant, then you get to decide when

rowingboat · 04/06/2008 18:10

LOL at herbaceous - mine doesn't really understand, even though I enrolled him with fertility friend for their crash course in TTC. He just asks me 'are you sure you got the dates right?' when it doesn't work!
I don't think he trusts me.
How much epo were you taking?
I hated taking it with ag. cast, but as soon as I stopped, I found I was fine with 1000mg per day. I used to feel miserable when I took both. And B6 - don't even talk to me!!
I am starting to feel more positive that we can get pg, without IVF, so we are going to put anything like that off until after Christmas and we are desperate. It seems so expensive for such low odds!
I can't stop drinking coffee - that'll be what's wrong! But I just don't know if I want a baby more than coffee.
What if it takes another year - no coffee for a year!

rowingboat · 05/06/2008 21:46

OMG I killed it! Finally, the thread died!

cece · 05/06/2008 22:16

hello everyone! Just popping in to say not much is happening. Literally. Not sure I have OV this month, maybe I am just a few days later than normal... No temp shift on FF yet and on day 18 I think.

rowingboat · 05/06/2008 22:28

Hi Cece! I just checked FF and I am on day 19, and not much happening here either.
I wish I could temp, it seems such a useful thing to do, but I just CANNOT remember to do it, it's like a curse.
The only possible symptom I have had it that I have been ratty with DS and DP today, just a bit. I have been far too quick to tell them off. Poor old DS said to me in bed tonight 'Why were you cross today?'.

giggly · 05/06/2008 23:31

Hi RB, I am one of the occasional posters, started ttc no 2 in Jan 08 and soon became a bit obsessed with peeing on sticks and 2ww.Still no joy and am becoming fairly low about it all as dd was conceived on the first go. I am overweight and 3 years older so I suppose these are contributing factors, oh and along with incredibly adhoc cycles. Some cycles are 45 days.
Haven't had much time to catch up on thread, but will do so soon.
Lots of luck to everyone this month.

Juicylucytoo · 06/06/2008 07:33

Giggly, you would have to be very overweight for it to make a difference. Don't let it get you down. It's probably much more to do with your irregular cycles. Have you been to see the GP about them?

CD 7. POAS (for OV) commencing in 5 days

Today I am now 41 and still TTC No#2

heron22 · 06/06/2008 09:52

hi all, i think what helped me was acupuncture. it helps you relax and rebalance/improve hormone levels.

have you considered it?

and no, not painful at all

cece · 08/06/2008 08:43

I have news! FF has now decided it thinks I OV last Thursday! I am very confused this cycle as I thought it was probably Sun or Mon!

Well if either is true we have BD the right days for either dates so we shall see...

Hope everyone OK - very quiet on here at the moment - must be the gorgeous weather.

rowingboat · 08/06/2008 23:52

I knooow, it is like the grave!
I keep popping in to see if anyone has posted, but I don't have much new to add. I did have a quick look at IVF in other countries - much cheaper - out of interest, if we have to go that route.
I have found some massage books, which show techniques for breaking up adhesions and fibrin in the abdomen, but I'm scared to actually try, just in case... However, next cycle I'm going to give it a whirl, as I know my hormones etc.. are all fine. I am still convinced that I am ovulating on the blocked side more than 50% of the time, although I can't prove it. After reading about intrauterine insemination patients who are given scans prior to insemination, I noticed there were quite a few who kept ovulating on the 'wrong' side cycle after cycle, and being sent home because there was no point inseminating on that cycle.
That's me that is! Grr!

Juicylucytoo · 09/06/2008 20:55

Nothing to report - that's why no posts from me. Lamenting my turning 41, so a bit glum.

Oh well, onwards and updards. DH home on Thursday and hopefully I OV sometime this w/e, so fingers and toes crossed for a happy outcome.

cece · 09/06/2008 21:13

Is it your birthday juicylucy?

41 not too bad

rowingboat · 09/06/2008 21:55

Yes happy birthday if it was!
I think this is day 23 for us.
Don't be glum Juicy, you are clearly fabulous!
Plus - Thursday...
Hopefully, it will be a bit more romantic if you have been separated and less bd - perfunctory.
How are you getting on Cece? What day are you on?

cece · 09/06/2008 23:18

I'm on CD 22. What day is your AF due then rowing boat?

Bit confused as FF thinks I ovulated CD 18 but I think it was either CD 14 or 15.

CD 14 I did an OV test and it was nearly the same colour as test line. Then on CD 15 I was a bit late with the OV test and it was a definite negative. So think I missed the LH surge some time late CD 14 or early CD 15.

My temps did go up a bit after CD 15 but went up more definitely on CD 18, hence why FF thinks I ov then!

If anyone is still with me and knows what I am talking about - what do you think? I am not a VIP member yet so it doesn't give me much info!...LOL
