Thank you XSerial! Sorry to hear about AF!
Back on the treadmill, let's hope Clomid does the trick this time. Fingers crossed!
Herb - we are looking into the 'buggering' will see how that goes. Definitely get a check up, I don't think we can afford to waste too much time, us more mature TTC'ers.
Roque, good to hear from you, I will keep my fingers crossed for you, so that you don't have to.
Hi Daisy and welcome!
Min Wow! Lucky you! Hope you are well!
This is day 10 for us, and I'm taking cough medicine a bit. Was feeling very positive, but it's petered out a bit now, it's the fear.
Had a ridiculous sports day today with tiny children running all over the place and none where they were supposed to be. It was very funny!

What's all this talk about buggering
Honestly, I'm away for 5 minutes and all the interesting chat happens

Well day 27 for me and no signs of anything, either pg signs or AF signs, but as working to a 31-33 day cycle at the mo, not really surprising. Will keep you posted.

Hi Cece, how are you?
I am on day 12 and intend to use OPKs. I did one yesterday, but it was negative. I'm finding it quite hard to time it this time.

cece · 27/06/2008 21:58

Hello rowing boat,

Yes got a negative OV test today CD 14. I think I am usually about CD 16. Had sticky cm this evening though so we shall see...

Report
rowingboat · 27/06/2008 23:36

I haven't managed to take a test today. When I did the tests last month, I had no discipline and just did the test whenever, and didn't do the drinking less for two hours or whatever. This month I am being totally paranoid and thinking 'I should drink less for two hours, what time is it?' 'It's too early/late' etc... it's a logistical nightmare if you have a life which involves going out of the house and not calculating when two hours from not drinking actually occurs.
Probably overthinking, but it's a bit too late now for a test at 11:30 isn't it? And have a headache...thud!

Report
cece · 27/06/2008 23:37

Yes think it has to be before 8 pm! I didn't know that about the drinking

Report
rowingboat · 28/06/2008 19:10

I know it's in the instructions that I get with the pack of OPKs, just another thing to make my eyes go crossed.

Report
cece · 29/06/2008 20:52

Still getting negative OV tests here rowing boat, how about you? Had the right kind of CM though for two days!

Report
rowingboat · 29/06/2008 21:21

I did one yesterday at around 8pm and it was an almost positive, not two equally dark lines, but nearly the same, so either I had missed the LH surge or it was immanent?
Today did one at around 2ish and it was a fainter result, so definitely missed the main surge - so 24-36 hours from yesterday after lunch is probably about right.
Not that is makes much difference with my stupid tubes, probably won't make it anyway.
Oh and CM has been eggwhite for the past few days, but have been helping it along with Superdrug chesty cough medicine and 1000mg EPO.
We have an appointment with the IVF clinic next week - must check the date.

Report
cece · 29/06/2008 22:50

Yep I think I missed my surge. I forgot about doing a test today till about 25 hours after the one on Saturday. [sigh]

CM seems to have dried up...

Will have to wait to see if my temp rises I suppose. [sigh]

Hi ladies

Sorry its not better news from me but I had a MMC about a month ago. So, am sadly joining you again (nothing personal you understand). Better take me off the graduates list. I'm currently feeling very grim about the prospect of conceving again but I expect we'll give it another try. Don't mean to put a downer on things for you other sprightly ladies, just not feeling v positive at the min but to be expected I spose.

Look forward to chatting again soon. Fruitbowl age 40 and TTC #2. Thanks and hope to be more jolly soon x

Sooooooooooo sorry Fruitbowl. What a shame

Report

Fruitbowl, I'm really sorry to hear your bad news. Of course you feel down, but the fact you are here shows you are still committed to baby two, so that's something positive.
I have seen research to suggest that you are more fertile for the months following an MC so it could be good for you in one way.
Take it easy on yourself though, you are bound to feel fragile.
What age is your LO?
There is a TTC after an MC thread, have you been over there at all. I imagine there would be a lot of support there.

Sorry to hear your news fruitbowl, but nice to have you back IFSWIM

Used to you being nosey cece
DH works 2 weeks and is home 3, so the cycles are all to buggary and October is our next "window of opportunity" as they say. Totally my fault as we had a sterling chance this time and we didn't continue to BD as long as we should have.

very annoyed with myself

All you older women trying to conceive, take heart,I was pregant with dd1 at 40 and DD2 at 42 so they were born when I was 41 and 43.Easy peasy each time, second baby took literally one tussle on the sofa!
so don't read ANYTHING that tells you your shrivelled old eggs are past their sell by, think positive.I was so stressed at first about my age I was too worried to have sex-hmmm no chance of conception that way...GOOD LUCK and trust your beautiful 40 plus bodies.

That's lovely HellyMelly! Not 1 but 2 pgs over 40 is great news. Good for you and gives us all hope! Thanks. xx
