coggy · 26/05/2008 17:27

I'm fine thanks Juicy (and Heron)...weather here is pretty darn awful as with every where else i think!
Going for adoption which is exciting (but l-o-n-g and d-r-a-w-n o-u-t process...almost as bad as ttc!!!)

Can't believe your on it again...all that knicker watching to llok forward to!!

I'll check on you regularly...

Sorry...hijack over!

gem2mum · 26/05/2008 22:03

Hi, Heron, juicy, everyone

Good to read Evenhope and Nursejo positive stories. By the way, what is this with cough syrup Does anyone know at what point in cycle you should take it? I cant stand the stuff so it would be good to know which days to use it....

Vesela I know what you mean. I weaned my DD at 7 months in order to get my periods back to ttc but now its a year and half on and no luck on the PG front that I wish I had carried on breastfeeding! If you end up with a small age gap then it would be hard going for a couple of years but worth it after that .

Xserial, hows things with you?

Juicylucytoo · 27/05/2008 08:24

Hi Gem2mum

Its got to have Guafanesin in it to be any good. You take it Day 1 to OV. It helps increase CM in us old dried up hags apparently

So if you have no problems in that dept don't bother with it. I used it last time, but TBH don't know if it made any difference as I was taking EPO, doing the bum in the air and living like a saint, so who knows what made the difference!

xserialshopper · 27/05/2008 12:00

Hi everyone. AF is here with a vengence.

I was thinking about AF and taking clomid last night (I know - how boring) and I finally decided that I'm going to not take clomid until after my tube is unblocked in August. Instead I'm going to start using my CBFM. I would have turned it on and set it this morning but I forgot

It seems pointless taking clomid when I already ov and my tube is blocked much better to use it when my tube is unblocked then both tubes can work harder

Juicy I was thinking of getting some cough medicine to help me along after AF but I think I'll do the pre-seed thing instead.

How's everyone? Too many of you to list........ but I love hearing how you all are doing and I'm sure everyone else does as well

How's things with you gem?

How's the little beenie Heron?

xserialshopper · 27/05/2008 13:32

I keep this thread to read when I'm feeling a bit down click here

Heron23 · 27/05/2008 18:19

Hi X, so sorry to hear the witch got you

you are right though, to wait till tube is unblocked before taking clomid, so both tubes can work harder! also, i wonder if you would consider having acupuncture. i believe that it helped me. also, i used pre-seed. and went on a short holiday. i think it all helped.

the little bean is now 5 weeks. it is still really really early, i am not worrying, just enjoying each day. whatever will happen, will happen.

Heron23 · 27/05/2008 18:20

hi X, what a great thread for us to read . thanks! so inspirational! especially the 52 yr old woman 3 kids under 4! amazing...

Juicylucytoo · 27/05/2008 23:20

AF arrived today. Boo Hiss.

A 28 day cycle. Wonder if that means things are getting back to normal

Well, that's me on the vino for the w/e then

gem2mum · 28/05/2008 22:09

Hi X and juicy, sorry about the AF but that thread is very interesting Xserial, lots of positive stories! Makes me wonder that maybe I could get lucky too, even with the dreaded 45 coming up I think having a DD of 22 months has made me forget my age! I'm knocking around with the younger mums then feel quite shocked when I realise how old I really am

Thanks for the cough medicine advice, juicy. I rummaged through the medicine cabinet and actually found one in date! It says take it three times a day, did you take it that much when ttc?

How are you feeling Heron?

Juicylucytoo · 29/05/2008 09:25

Hi Gem2mum I only took it morning and night, but I don't know if you're meant to take it more than that. I only managed to remember at those times

Well AF hasn't actually arrived. It was only a show. Am now trying not to get hopes up that it may be an implantation bleed instead. Highly unlikely. It would now be day 30. Will wait for AF until the w/e.

Heron23 · 29/05/2008 12:46

hi juicy, fingers crossed for you
have you tried using pre-seed?

xserialshopper · 29/05/2008 13:45

Fingers crossed for you juicy. Get Heron to hold your hands - it worked for her

Juicylucytoo · 29/05/2008 21:46

Well, did a test (even though it was stupid idea). BFN and still no AF. Go figure. Buggar. Boo Hiss Rubbish.

Thanks for your thoughts Girlies xx

Juicylucytoo · 29/05/2008 21:47

No, haven't tried pre-seed. Do you get it off the tinternet? Is it really gooey / gross to use??

sensao · 29/05/2008 22:42

Hello! I just had a really bad experience with a Dr, I was a happy 7-8 week pregnant woman, mother of a 2 1/2 year old. I had a m/c last friday. what is next? I am still confuse. Really bad Dr. no information, bad actitud an all end up in a d&c 3 day after first appoinment, WE want to have another baby, I am 41. I am so affraid of another bad dr experience. any words about it. please help me.

Heron23 · 30/05/2008 10:16

hi sensao, i am sorry about your m/c...and the bad doctor. is this your gp? any chance of getting another gp in the same practice? it can be so frustrating!

Heron23 · 30/05/2008 10:19

hi juicy, my thoughts are with you during this frustrating time. i got pre-seed from www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk. i also got cheapie pregnancy test sticks as well, 20 for £5. quite a bargain.

hi X, how are you today?

btw, i am still testing everyday, for reassurance more than anything .

jassara · 30/05/2008 10:42

Hi sensao, so sorry about your mc it's such a horrible time, take care and pamper yourself, it does get easier.

Hi Heron how are you feeling? I still haven't joined the other thread, but i have been following them all. I feel rubish at the moment but i'm not complaining.

Fingers still crossed for you juicy

Hope everyone else is ok

Heron23 · 30/05/2008 11:07

hi jassara, i am fine, a bit tired, actually going to bed now for a nap.
i have joined the fabulous over 40 thread.
how many weeks are you now? how are you feeling?

Juicylucytoo · 30/05/2008 11:10

Well. Still no AF. Feel a bit in Limbo. Will check out the site Heron. Thanks for that - and at £5 for 20, can't really blame you for using them all

Sensao So sorry re your m/c. They are hideous. As Heron said, if it's your GP, try to change within the practice - or change practices. They should have given you some leaflets at the hospital too with contact no.s for support groups. If not check the web for them. You will need time to heal physically and mentally before ttc again. You will gets lots of good support and advice on the mc threads too. I know it's trite, but time really does heal. Thinking of you x

jassara · 30/05/2008 12:07

The tiredness is a killer Heron i'm sure i didn't feel like this 3 years ago with DS2....it must be my age

I was 7 weeks yesterday. I thought i would be knicker checking constantly but i thought it's gonna make it a long 12 weeks if i don't chill.

I hate that time Juicy when you're thinking am i aren't i, sometimes i was glad when af did arrive so i could get on with the next month of ttc. I've got everything crossed for you....it sounds like an implantation bleed if you haven't had anything more

Heron23 · 30/05/2008 17:42

hi jassara, you are right about chilling; i will keep your words in mind! it would be better to just relax and enjoy the moment!

i am quite tired today, luckily i made a big batch of lasagne yesterday so dinner for DS is all sorted

have a good night everyone!

sensao · 30/05/2008 19:41

jassara · 30/05/2008 20:08

Hi Sensao, yes i am pregnant but like you i had a mc in Jan at 10 1/2 weeks so i know how sad and lost you feel right now. There are a lot of ladies on here that have been thru the same and
it really helps to let it all out.

You will feel right at home here it's very addictive x
