TTC after miscarriage - January 2020

Hello all (and late Merry Christmas!)

Looking for TTC buddies in a similar situation! 👋

In September I accidentally became pregnant. We had planned to begin TTC in Jan 2020 anyway, so we were really excited. Sadly, at my 12 week scan on 25th Nov, I found out I had had a missed miscarriage and the baby had stopped growing at about 9 weeks. The week that followed was one of the most traumatic in my life, having failed medical management and then an ERPC. All this happened whilst I was in another country.

Since then my recovery has been okay but all I can think about is wanting to be pregnant again and have been hoping and praying that my period returns soon so that we can officially start trying.

This morning I have had brown discharge and cramping, so it does feel like AF is on the way. So I guess I am going to count today as CD1 of my first official TTC cycle?

I wondered if anyone had been through anything similar and if so I am so sorry for your loss and what you had to go through. It really is a horrendous time. 💐

@StephyRose really sorry to read what your going through, just keep posting, we are here for you and we need you too. Don't try and stay strong today, just let yourself go and feel it. It's ok to melt today, I'm doing it if it's any consolation, I'm am feeling unbelievably depressed about the whole process today. And I'm just going to mum'snet my way through it today and switch things up tomorrow by going out and enjoying life and health and find joy in the world and nature wherever I can.

But today is shit yes. Do think booking the doctor is a good idea @StephyRose as they'll have your results of the surgical management. I never heard anything about mine either and that was in October. Finally went to the doctor last week and they had my results, glad to know it wasn't a molar and all textbook sort of thing. Helped me get through that week anyway

@StephyRose definitely go and speak to someone, they may well do serial blood levels and see what is going on

Aww @StephyRose that’s awful I’m so sorry. Any chance it’s implantation bleed? Could be a chemical though 😰
I just think I’m gonna have a chemical as well 😩 I just can’t think positively, I’m always assuming now that il lose it 😩

@StephyRose I had three chemical pregnancies one after another with no break. Then I had my daughter. Don't lose hope !

Was in lots of pain with cramps yesterday afternoon and especially the evening. Had a darker opk again yesterday lunch time.
Didn't DTD as just feel so down... Couldn't face it. Now wondering if the pains were ovulation pains... And I've missed my chance this month.
Eugh.

I've got a doctors appointment booked for Wednesday. I know I haven't had 3 miscarriages but I just want to talk to someone.

Not sure if I should take a break from TTC. I feel like I've lost myself in the process.

No sign of AF today I'm due TOMORROW!
Got no symptoms apart from the general feeling of 'oh I think I've came on' but wiping and I haven't.... it's a total mind game :(

Oh @StephyRose ☹️ I've been reading through this thread whilst not posting much as I'm so unsure what to say at the moment. I'm really feeling for you 💗 sending lots of virtual hugs your way.

I've still not had my AF, I'm now 4-5 days late and too scared to take another hpt as I know I'm not pregnant. Going by my last AF, if I was pregnant, I'd apparently be 5 weeks and 2 days but last time I was pregnant, by now I had no sore boobs and I don't still, but I took my last pregnancy test on Friday which was negative. So confused why I'm late if I'm not.

I have been suffering with anxiety and anxiety attacks since it happened, wondering if it's maybe that? But I haven't had an anxiety attack since NYD 😩 xx

I am around 3 dpo and my boobs are very tender. I don't think this can be Pg symptoms, but it's very unusual.

My tests seem to be getting lighter so I think it’s probably a chemical.
How you getting on @StephyRose?

@FireflyGirl you think a pt could become positive even if it was negative 1/2 day after being late? 😕

@Cruiser1 oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that!! What cycle are you on following mc? I waited for my first AF after miscarriage (thinking it would give me the best chance of recovery) but had two chemicals the next two months. It seems cruelly common following mc 😢

I've had a strong positive this morning - AF due tomorrow and feeling cautiously optimistic.

For those experiencing chemicals - I'm so sorry, it really does suck. If it's any consolation at all I had one the last two months and was losing hope of ever having a sticky one again - but I think I'm ok this month - it might just be our bodies still recovering... fingers crossed to all still waiting to test and huge good luck wishes for those moving forward into February xxxx

I have no idea what DPO I am on, if I ovulated at all. But since Saturday I’ve had a stretching/crampy feeling low down, back ache, coming down with a cold, CM is constant wet (sorry TMI), reflux and last night I was asleep in the sofa at 8 which isn’t like me. Maybe I’m reading too much into it all and I’m just feeling run down but I’m not keeping my hopes up with anything

Just before AF I broke out in so many spots all over my chest and back, they are starting to clear up now and I put it down to all the hormones as it was my first AF since the start of august. Has anyone else experienced anything like that?

@mlax it could be if you ovulated late.

Also, I don't want to give you false hope, but I didn't test positive with DS until I was nearly a week late. I feel for you, being in limbo like this!

@mlax yes I had to go to the doctors for a blood test because I was ten days late and negative tests. They confirmed I was pregnant so there is definitely hope! Cd26 here, due Tuesday so one more week of waiting/hell 😆🤞🙏🌈

@Anny27 nothing too noticeable...still having random pains in my uterus and this morning I’ve had a LOT of cm. Had to run to the bathroom to wipe 😬 it was sort of milky/creamy lotion like. Can’t remember if I used to get that before AF was due 🤷🏼‍♀️ I also have a headache right now 🙄. I’m on CD27...will I ever get to next week! How about you?

I've just been to the toilet and wiped, and I've had a very light pink blood come away. I'd attach a photo but I think that's going a bit too far ha!

Absolutely nothing in my knickers though ..!?

@mlax just had the same!!! Like a pinky/ brown CM.....at 9dpo!! Never spotted that early before.

Before my MC my AF's were on time not light spotting! I wasn't heavy for my 1st AF either so finding this all so unusual x

@MilsCookie AF due on the 28th. Last time I got a faint BFP 2 days before AF was due so will try and wait until then to test this time. Your symptoms sound positive too. When are you due AF? And when are you planning to test?

The uncertainty is so crap ladies. Dreading my 2ww. Flashing smiley this morning. Think I can trust this because pregnancy tests definitely negative. Not a great day though. Got to go have a tooth extracted
