Hi girls! I know we wanted to start a thread for the ones who didn't get their BFP this month.

Anyone else welcome to join us on our conception journey and looking to test around 2nd week in December.

AF due around 9th September

This is my 1st month using OPKs - anyone got any advice on when to start testing?

@Beau2019 thank you! My LP has been short recently, around the 10/11 day mark. One plus is it makes the TWW that little bit more bearable, but I could do with trying to get it longer. I'm still breastfeeding number 1 so I suspect that is the cause, however we're down to just the one feed a day now so I'm hoping that will tip it back to being normal. If it's not then we'll look to stop altogether but it would be a shame.

Thanks @Beau2019 I may start doing them later as it’s only cd9 for me and already flashing smiley may test twice when my cheapy gets darker 😊

@Ellsbells112 I’m cd9 and have already got my flashing smiley which is odd, as didn’t get one for ages last time, so possibly I’ll ovulate slightly earlier than cd18! We will see 🥰 I’m excited too! My dp just got back from work and we dtd before dd gets home 😂 as I’m off out for a meal for my friends bday tonight so dp will be asleep when I’m back!

@Beau2019 yeah I think it’s definitely worth me using OPKs. The bleeding stopped last night and now this afternoon I am bleeding what looks and feels like AF. Which OPKs are the best in your opinion?

@Fredthespider they say a normal luteal phase is 11-17 days. So maybe this is why? I have heard that the hormone you produce when you are BF acts as a natural contraceptive (I know a woman who can't conceive because she produces that hormone and isn't even breastfeeding!)

However someone in my family recently conceived 3 months after giving birth and she was breastfeeding so it's certainly possible!

@FirsttimeTTC this is the first time I have properly used them and only use clear blue advance and totally love them! I did use internet cheapies about 3 years ago but really struggled with them - probably because I have no idea what to look for!

@sunflower2019 from what I've seen your temp is low and then dips for ovulation and then rises the rise day by about .4 of a degree. If you're pregnant it stays high and if not it will come down again for AF xxx

Hi ladies, finally got my smiley CB OPK 😅 I've been using the pink ones so they just go straight to solid smiley. Had tested this morning but still blank, did this evening with fingers crossed and thankfully it's there. AF had been due 6 Dec with my average 26 day cycle so potentially my LP will be too short this month but we'll see.
On the SMEP this month so I'm a bit worried about three nights BD on the trot, and on week nights, highly unusual for me and DH 🙊😳🤣

Three nights in a row, but averages about ten minutes a time so remember a tiny proportion of the day

Tiny proportion sounds like an euthamisn 🤔

@Beau2019 yeppp my first month too! They do keep me busy and my mind isn't going crazy like last month lol. I feel some what in control xx

@Mumofboys17 hahaha amazing!! 😂 we watch it in bed too. Admittedly last night I HAD to wait until the trial was over but we also managed to get on in on the ad breaks (until we well over ran and OH decided that was enough). What have we become? 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

I’m CD 14 today and it looks like my O day will be either tomorrow or day after x my opks are getting darker although still reading as Low on premom app x what do you kind ladies think? x fingers crossed for everyone this cycle x

@Mango31 I'll either test on the 6th or wait until 9th as I'll be away from
DH 7th and 8th and won't suit to test. If I can wait until 9th I will, I had a early chemical pregnancy last cycle and think that if I had waited until AF was due it would have saved the disappointment

@Katie1109 they are deffo getting darker! CD14 the lines are almost the same! Get BDing girl and fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Girls who use CB digi - do you BD both days of static smiley or is one day enough? I did it the day before I got the static and last night. Honestly just want a rest tonight hahaha

@Katie1109 the one from today is definitely getting darker! Do you plan on testing later on today? Sometimes the 'internet cheapies' work better with afternoon urine compared to the CB digital that want first morning.

@Beau2019 and @Fredthespider (love the name lol ) thanks for your replies x Yes I will test later on this afternoon x I'm just not sure why premom is still saying this is low, the lines are almost identical, surely it should be showing at least as 'high' x
Sounds like next 3 days will be all birthdays and Christmas' come together at once for my OH lol x I might even catch him on his lunch break lol x
